Hello everyone, sorry for my absence, hellweek, I've been napping on and off all day trying to catch up on lost sleep.
Anyway, it'll be easy for a while now, I'll get my post done and post it within 24 hours.

There is one beach (I think) In the south east, but yeah, there should be more of them. I've always seen the hidden mist as an archipelago.
Also, I think you've greatly misunderstood the powerplay rule. The point is that powerplay should happen, it's not a mistake here, it's a feature, something we should strive for. To make it easier (and to get less mistakes like Nori's sudden accent) we should try to differentiate our characters.

Before I finish my post, what if Kaoru knocks on the swordsmen compound and they're not particularly happy to see him? Perhaps they try to beat him up or something but he's saved by his teammates, who work together for once? Just an idea, I can always have him run away and lose them.

Hm. I like the idea as such, but I don't really think this is the time for something like that. Perhaps we can do that a little further along the story. Kaoru could become a sort of swordsman-fanboy and always run to them when something happens. After a while they get pissed off and decides to teach the kid a lesson.

Or something...

My point is that we're on a timed mission and should prioritize that for now.

I just found out that Ryver has to drop out. Not a word from Haruna. I fear that it is just you and me now Kitty. How do you want to proceed? Treat their characters as npcs and keep going? Sack their characters and creat new ones and just go on? Or find new players?

In my experience this kind of this gets easier if you have less players (less discussion and compromise). But I want to know what you think.

As your friendly outsider looking in, I think it might be apt to offer my #2cents

You are early enough into the plot and with a big enough change in the numbers that you could easily just reboot the entire thing with one or two more people. If you want to keep the Jounin an NPC, you can hunt down one person, otherwise you can hunt down two.

The lurkerpanda has spoken. To tell the truth, when I saw you had posted I was afraid that you'd be mad at us (me) for not considering you right away. Rest assured, if we decide to get new players in here you'll be the first to know. I just feel that I have to take in the opinions of any active players first.

What you say is true, a reboot would be easy to handle and wouldn't harm the game much, on the contrary, now we have more to work with than before.
I'll still wait for kitty before I (we) decide anything.

I'd be perfectly fine with a reboot, Halv. Although it is more of a hassle with more people, I think it would be the most fun that way. Having the Jounin as a NPC might be better, though.

Still no word from Haruna so I'm fairly confident that we're indeed alone in this. Tomorrow I've got day off and I'll try to gather all the info I have on this and put it up in the OP. If there is anything you wish to change before the reboot, don't hesitate to tell me.
Of course, feel free to come with ideas and improvements whenever you want. That's kind of the point with this game.

So, since both of your characters have a fairly prominent Taijutsu focus, I thought I'd go for something complimentary i.e. Not Taijustu. I'm settling for a sort of Genjutsu and buffing character who is going to use aromatherapy and acupuncture.

I've never seen anything like that before. How are you planning on using it in-game?

At the start, I'd have a character who has some basic defensive Earth ninjutsu and a few very light genjutsu techniques. Her needles would be a supplementary thing that would eventually become her main source, should the RP progress at all.

The idea would be using the needles to either enable or disable a person's strength using chakra points. Obviously that level of mastery is pretty intense, so as a child, there would be pretty much no chance she could succeed at that in any meaningful combat situation. Outside of combat, she might be able to make a guy forget about aches and pains, or she might be able to further inhibit an already beaten bad guy: but she'd basically be a defensive character at the start, who'd evolve into an extreme support as the RP progresses.

That sounds really fun. So you'd be a needle-user like Haku? Then perhaps it will be your character that gets the revelation that Zabuza isn't dead when we get that far.

Something like that. Although Haku would be a bit more kickass with the needles at that part.
