Story

We once served to defend the good people of Ylisse. It is different, now… because who are we to defend but ourselves?

A group of people came together under the leadership of Prince Chrom of House Ylisse; men, women, mages, warriors… all people of shapes and sizes, all people from different corners of the world. This group of mercenaries were sometimes called Chrom’s Vigilantes, or, more often, Shepherds. They had one purpose—to protect the people that could not even swing a sword from Plegia’s ruffians and bandits. The Shepherds once proudly proclaimed that they tended the sheep and fought the wolves that wanted to harm their peaceful flock.

After a very large war had ended, the land was left in peace. However, the Shepherds continued to defend their people. They made sure that no bandit was to spill the blood of any loyal maiden, fierce warrior, or wailing babe. At this time, the Shepherds had begun to grow. Hundreds of men and women begged to be accepted into the Shepherds’ ranks, proclaiming that they would serve until their lives were ripped away from them. As more people signed up to take up arms, the Shepherds decided to make larger and more spaced out barracks. They placed a barracks where they thought was needed most, and soon there were eight or so large living quarters in the whole of Ylisse. The Shepherds’ numbers grew to about fifteen hundred heads, and soon became one of the fiercest known warriors in the whole land.

But the peace would not last for long.

A new exalt took power in Ylisse ten years after the sharp growth of the Shepherds. His name was Darrian—a strong and handsome young man that proudly bore the mark of the Hero-King. His hair was jet-black, and eyes such a blue that one could see crashing ocean waves in his gaze. Of course, many women swooned when he passed by them in town. He was fair and kind in public, proclaiming peace and tranquility when he found the chance.

They say to never judge a book by its cover.

Darrian was a dark man when he was alone. You see, his plan was going according to plan. As if Darrian wanted peace! Pah! He thought peace was for the crows. Darrian wanted power, he wanted reign over all of the lands of the world! Now that he had the support of all of Ylisse, he could make a devious plot. Forge a dark lie.

Three months later, news of a suspicious battle took place in the sea between Valm and Plegia. Valm was currently Ylisse’s ally. They promised each other protection and aid if something were to ever happen, such as a natural disaster or a war. Surprisingly, the outcome of the battle reached Ylisse in the matter of a few hours. Plegia had attacked a squad of Valmese warships out of the blue. Thankfully, the Valmese had sunk the Plegian ships and made sure to leave no surivors. Ylisse was in distress; this was a storm on the horizon.

Why would Plegia suddenly attack Valmese warships?

The question crossed everyone’s minds, but more so the Shepherds. Like the other lands, Plegia was very peaceful after the war. The king and queen were good people. They would not order such an attack, not even in a spurt of rage. The mercenaries had begun to investigate to preserve the peace. They intercepted letters, shot down messenger hawks, eavesdropped on conversations in dark corners. The Shepherds smelled something fishy, and they were doing everything they could to see exactly what was going on.

But before they could, it was too late. On a dark summer night, two Shepherds were caught eavesdropping in Ylisstol’s castle courtyard. The new exalt was outraged, not only because he could not be trusted by the Shepherds, but because he didn’t know how much information had gotten to the mercenaries. The two Shepherds were executed on the morrow, but that did not sate Darrian’s anxiety. He sent his most loyal and seasoned men and women to hunt down and assassinate the Shepards before they could do anything that might harm his rule.

The Shepherds did not even have time to prepare for what came next. The people they had served were now coming upon them with swords, lances, axes, and tomes. That very night, the first barracks fell, taking six hundred and forty six lives with it. Within the week, two other barracks fell, the death toll of Shepherds rising to eight hundred and ninety eight. It was then that the Shepherds pulled themselves out of their confused mess and began to fight back. Yet, the third barracks fell and the number of dead Shepherds rose to one thousand. Every attack on the Shepherds became more and more powerful. By the time the last barracks fell, there were only fifty or so Shepherds left. Many of the Shepherds gave up on their mission and fled to different corners of the world to start new lives with new identities, leaving the mercenaries’ numbers dwindling dangerously close to zero.

The Shepherds that remained and were still loyal to their cause fled to Plegia, making sure to remain in their scrawny group. That group soon became a family, much like when Prince Chrom first started. They remain in Plegia to this date, hiding in the forests and in small villages when they can, dodging assassins and bounty hunters, and hoping to make the world see who Darrian really is… for when he takes Plegia, who can stop him from taking the world?

Taguel: the Taguel was once a massive race of beast-people who could shift into various animals. Taguels transform from their humanoid form to a beast form using Beaststones. However, Taguels are capable of mix-breeding with humans, resulting in children who can shapeshift like their Taguel parent. There are only two left in existence.

Manaketes: can also be referred to as simply Dragons. Manaketes transform from a humanoid form to a dragon form using dragonstones. As a race, Manaketes are often shown to be in conflict with humans during the games story or backstory. They are sometimes divided into tribes based on their element, such as fire, ice, flying, and earth dragons, although tribes not based off a particular element, like magic and divine dragons, have appeared as well.

Hmm, what are the restrictions on Tactician, besides one I mean. Are there any other criteria to fill? Some form of questionnaire? Contract with an evil deity?

OC: Kikyou Saionji, Akai Katana

Username:
Solace

Name:
Zaino

Age:
Twenty years old.

Gender:
Male.

Birthday:
July 16th

Class:
Myrmidon

Allegiance:
Technically the Shepherds, but in his mind, he's in his own world.

Weapon(s):
Killing Edge

Clothing / Appearance:
Look above~

Personality:
An impulsive and stubborn pessimist whose vengeful tendencies more than often get the best of him, revealing his sadistic nature. He had been known by others to have been compassionate and outright kindhearted to others, once said to have been the embodiment of vigor and voice of extravagance within the Shepherds. Though he remains steadfast in his loyalties to his affiliation, he has no intention on opening himself to others; his recent experiences have been more than enough to convince him that trust is no longer a given.

Biography:
Zaino was born in the combative nation of Regna Ferox as the younger brother of Xerxes by a six year age difference. His mother was a middle-class apothecary who never mentioned his father, only telling him that he was a good man. As a child, he held a fierce rivalry and always fought with his elder brother, competing over who was better at whatever they did. Xerxes always came out as ever the victor, though a day before Zaino's seventh birthday, Xerxes left home and disappeared.

In three years' time, Zaino was sent off to receive tutelage from a family acquaintance named Lon'qu, a family acquaintance and the right-hand man of the then-West Khan. The veteran swordsman trained the boy over the course of five years and made a man out of him, allowing him to become Lon'qu's successor. Zaino claimed victory for the West in Lon'qu's steed during the Khans' champion battle over inheritance of the country's authority at sixteen years old, and shortly after, he was introduced to the Shepherds under his master's recommendations. Over those four years, he made a name for himself and became one of the faction's prominent members.

All seemed well for Zaino and his circle of friends; life was great for the swordsman. That is, until Xerxes suddenly resurfaced in his life, as the main perpetrator of the massacre.

Quirk:
Is clumsy with anything that is not a sword.

Strengths:
Unnaturally agile, and extremely perceptive of other people and his surroundings.

Weaknesses:
His inability to trust people (including his own allies) more than often causes friction between himself and others. He is also constantly grieving over the past, and remains deeply mired by those old wounds. His negative outlook on society and the world itself is enough to label him as a consummate pessimist.

Likes:
Spilling the blood of his enemies.

Dislikes:
Xerxes, Darrian, traitors and dishonesty, knights, people who look down on others, spiders, and many, many more things.

Romantic Interest:
Zaino had a number of casual, romantic relationships prior, but after everything, it'll take consistent effort to break his shell.

Other:
Voice - Daisuke Namikawa

OC: Xanxus, Katekyo Hitman Reborn!

Username:
Solace

Name:
Xerxes

Age:
Twenty-six years old.

Gender:
Male.

Birthday:
December 25th

Class:
Swordmaster (called “Trueblade” or “Kensei” to fit his title)

Allegiance:
Ylissean Army – holds authority equal to a commander, but prefers to command his own personal detached unit.

Weapon(s):
Iron Sword as an indirect mocking of his opponent's inferiority to him.
Imperius, his one-of-a-kind personal sword that is only drawn under special conditions. Thus far, it has only been drawn a total of three times.

Clothing / Appearance:
Look above~

Personality:
Xerxes isn't necessarily a person who loves to be around others. He talks with a hostile tone for almost all occasions, and he is quick to anger if something does not go his way. There are few people who can call him a friend, and even fewer who know him enough for him to even consider them. He doesn't verbally showcase his pompous nature, but he is fairly confident in his ability to kill just about anyone, and it's safe to say that he's able to easily prove it. He doesn't care about his fame or authority, and only seeks to gain from carrying out his friend's dream. Xerxes has a strong dislike for society, looking down on other swordsmen as foolish and all the same.

Biography:
Not much is known about Xerxes' shrouded past. It is said that he began a mercenary career in his early teens up until the age of eighteen where he was personally approached by Darrian to join the Ylissean Army as his confidante. One solid fact was that at the age of twenty-two, Xerxes dueled the King of Chon'sin to test his strength, and unknowingly claimed the title “Sword of Saints” in the process.

Quirk:
Has a habit of constantly death-glaring people.

Strengths:
His overall combat skills label him as one of, if not, the finest of both continents. His lack of emotion when carrying out his duties allows him to get the job done in his own fashion.

Weaknesses:
Xerxes is a bit of a slacker at times, and often acts upon his own accord in disobedience. Save for his own unit, he holds no care for the lives of others, and sees everyone as expendable.

Likes:
Darrian's ambition, sleeping and lazing around, eating meat-based foods.

Dislikes:
His title and reputation, society, suck-ups, sword-toting mongrels who call themselves swordsmen, and a ton of more things.

Romantic Interest:
Xerxes associates himself with too many women to keep track of. Perhaps, he may even have a bastard child or two...

Username: Um... I forgot. Could someone remind me what it is? :P

Name: Timothy (Goes by Tim)

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Birthday: March 15

Class: Preist. Will upgrade to Sage later on

Allied to?: The Shepherds

Weapons: Staffs. Heal, Rescue, Ward

Appearance:

Tim is somewhat short for a young man his age, standing at exactly 5'4". It doesn't bother him much, unless someone bullies him for it. Despite seeming weak and fragile, he is actually stronger than he looks. He has an athletic build and is physically fit due to having lived in a small town all of his life, and spending a lot of time running around outside. He spends a good amount of time in the sun so his skin is lightly tanned as a result, not pale but not bronzed either. He has messy black hair on top of his head, and his bangs go to his eyebrows. He has big brown eyes, a small nose, and a round "Babyface", which give him a youthful appearance. His face is clean-shaven, and his upper body is free of any hair except the top of his head and eyebrows.

Tim's clothes tend to vary, but he usually wears what is comfortable. He has taken to wearing robes to signify that his class. His usual outfit is a short sleeved, collared white robe. The trim on the bottom, and sleeves of the robe are light blue. It is held in place by a light blue belt at the waist. Underneath this, he wears a simple white undershirt. On his legs he wears white leggings that keep them warm in the cold, but are still comfortable to wear when the temperature is warmer. On his feet are a pair of knee-high white boots with one blue belt wrapped around each of them. A pair of white gloves with blue trims cover his arms up to his elbows. He keeps things in a light blue messenger bag.

Personality: Tim is a shy and quiet individual by nature. He was always this way, and being bullied as a kid didn't help. He is very sensitive, and he fears being bullied. He usually speaks with a quiet voice, and occasionally a stutter when he's nervous. He also becomes very apologetic when someone shows any hint of being upset. He has a thing for animals, and he usually prefers being with animals than with people. Animals will listen without judgement, and only expect a little kindness in return. He is gentle and softspoken, which seems to be the reason why he has such an easy time with animals. He gets scared easily, his worst phobia being stage fright. He gets really nervous when having to speak or perform in front of an audience. He really wants to be the brave, but it's harder than it looks.

Despite being shy, he is by no means antisocial. If you talk to him, you'll find he's quite friendly, and polite. He can laugh and make jokes like any other kid. He is always happy to have to new friends, because his shyness makes it difficult to make them. He is very affectionate and loyal to those he likes. He hates it when people are angry around him, so he tries his best to keep the peace. In conversations, he is usually more of a listener than a talker, and he has no problems being a sounding board when someone wants to vent (As long as they don't hurt him.) Tim is very kind to others, often to a fault. He is very trusting of people, and is willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Tim is usually very difficult to anger, and is very quick to forgive someone when he does get mad. However, during the times when he is not in a good mood, he can be quite scary if you do catch him at a bad moment. He doesn't want to burden others with his problems, and he fears being made fun of, so he keeps them to himself. This causes him personal frustration. When it gets to be too much, he'll lash out at the target, and let out his pent up rage. He dislikes bullying (towards himself or others,) as well as people being needlessly cruel to animals. Doing one of those things is the best way to get him upset.

Tim is very careful and calculating. He always thinks before he speaks, and prefers not to wrecklessly jump into danger. However, due to his insecurity he is often uncertain if the choices he makes are the right ones. He can easily be convinced to change his mind. This leaves him with some anger when the plan fails and he knew his original idea would have worked. He also doesn't like violence all that much, having been a victim of it most of his life. Although he doesn't look like it, Tim has a big appetite. He likes eating many different kinds of foods, and has the cooking skills to match.

Biography: Tim was born in Ylisse, to a pair of mages. Tim's parents weren't rich, but they did all they could to give their son a good life, and give him every advantage. While they expressed having high hopes for their son's success, they tried not to put too much pressure on the boy. For the most part, his life was normal. Tim was often a target of bullying because of his shyness, tendency to get scared easily, and because he was clumsy. No matter what he did to get them to stop it, it always failed or they found something else to give him crap about. It gave him self-esteem issues, resulting in him becoming even more timid. As a result, he had very few friends growing up. He didn't tell anyone about the bullying, lest it become worse. He saw other kids get beaten up much worse after they snitched, and he didn't want that to happen. So he kept it all inside and let his resentment build.

From an early age, he always had a special talent for caring for animals. They seem to be fond of him due to his softspoken nature. He often finds sick, or injured animals and cares for, plays with, and feeds them when no one else will. Around animals, Tim felt much more like himself. He found relief from the stresses of life, and he's found they are the best friends he could ask for. He always knew he wanted to do something with animals when he gets older. He just wasn't sure what.

Nothing spectacular happened after that until Tim turned thirteen. It was then that his parents felt he was ready to learn magic. He was taught by various scholars in the area. He spent many years studying, and practicing his techniques. He realized quickly that he preferred being a mage and using magic to help others rather than fighting the way a warrior does. Tim did well with his studies and showed great potential. He had taken a liking to the healing spells, and became good at casting them. However, although the bullying had stopped, he didn't really talk to any of the other students because of his experiences when he was younger. A few months after his eighteenth birthday, Tim completed his training and became a Shepherd. He has been loyal to them ever since. When the last barrack fell, Tim fled with the others to Plegia.

Quirk: Can't really think of what to put here that isn't already covered in the personality section...

Strengths: Stronger than he looks, good at magic

Weaknesses: He's timid, easily scared, and prone to getting taken advantage of because of his meek nature.

Likes: Food, animals, magic

Dislikes: Bullies, public speaking, large crowds, scary things

Romantic Interest: None yet...

Uhm, one thing. A Priest can't go to a Sage. Even if it's a reclass, he would have to go from Priest, to Mage, and then to Sage. If you really wanna do that, that's fine, but I'm just telling ya. Also, a Priest has no reason to be athletic... ^^

In regards to your Cleric to Sage, Crimson, it'll be fine as long as Timothy gets proper training. I mean, he can't just pick up a tome and start using it. Someone has to teach him. ^^

Username: Dragon

Name: Talbot

Age: 21

Gender: Male

Birthday: February 8th

Class: Dark Mage [will reclass to Sage]

Allied to?: Shepherds

Weapons: Thoron, Arcwind, Waste

Clothing: Basic Mage Uniform.

Appearance: The dark haired fellow on the right.

Personality: Talbot is quite the interesting fellow. On one hand, he is young and full of life, often bustling about and wanting to have fun. This makes others grow exasperated with his “look on the bright side” personality. On the other hand, however, Talbot reveres his tomes. When he is reading, he is quiet and serious and grows irritated when people interrupt him. Some might say that he has a double personality, but it isn’t so. It’s just that Talbot knows when he wants to fool around and when he wants to read with a cup of tea. In battle, he is just as serious as he is when he is reading his tomes.

Biography: Talbot was born in Ylisse to a fairly poor family. His mother could not find work and his father tirelessly worked the fields. He spent most of his childhood alone with no siblings to play with, or no one to talk to, since his parents were always busy. His mother cleaned and fed the many animals that they had on their farm and his father sowed, harvested, turned the soil, and did much more hard labor. So, Talbot turned to the books. At age five, he read short stories in large volumes. At age ten he began to read full length novels without any trouble. When he turned twelve he began to show an interest in magic, and often went to Ylisstol to borrow books from considerate mages. It was then that his father grew ill with an unknown disease and slowly began to deteriorate. His mother began to tend to his father for such long periods of time that the farm had started to become conquered by weeds and pests, and the animals were dying off. Talbot knew that he had to do something, so he struggled to tend to the land himself. Talbot was fifteen when his father lost his battle with his disease. Soon after, his mother abandoned him for a man who wanted no children in his household. Talbot was left alone.
Struggling to survive, he turned to thievery. He didn’t pull off grand heists that left people baffled, but he cut gold purses and ripped bread from hands. Talbot still read tomes when he could. He would usually sit under market overhangs that sheltered him from the rain, but not the cold or wind. It was somewhat amusing, watching a wide eyed and trembling Talbot clutching to a soaked tome as he struggled to fall asleep. Well, if you compare him to the way he is currently, at least.
It was a very cold day in February that Talbot first met the Shepherds. Dirty, starving, and suffering from a very minor case of bronchitis [small enough to be healed at the time], he saw strong looking men and women in the town square of Ylisstol. Talbot meant to take the gold purse of the wealthiest looking one there, but he was caught within moments. The man that he tried to steal from was so large that he practically yanked the poor mage off of the ground by his wrist. Crying out of fear, anger, and pain, he thrashed in the man’s grip, doing anything he could to get away. The Lord of the group noticed the fire burning in him, and ordered the man to let go of him. Despite being filled with fear, Talbot listened to the proposition that the Lord was giving him; he could join the Shepherds or possibly live the rest of his days in poverty.
It was obvious what Talbot chose—he left Ylisstol with the Shepherds and traveled a bit north. They tended to his coughing and wheezing and gave him new tomes to study from. When he was eighteen he had enough experience with magic to become a full-fledged mage that he could call in storms of wind, fire, and lightning in the matter of a breath.
When Talbot was twenty, he fell in love with another Shepherd, a woman named Natalia. She was a year younger than him, but it didn’t matter at all to the young mage. They were so deeply entwined in one another that, within the year, they were engaged. Natalia was soon deported to a southern barracks while Talbot continued to live in his northern one. Their marriage had to be delayed, but even then Talbot did not stop babbling and dreaming about his love. The two often wrote to each other.
Then it happened. Talbot didn’t know what had happened then, but he heard of a massive slaughter of the Shepherds near Ylisstol. It was the first time in a while that he felt fear claw at his heart; Natalia was not stationed there, but he knew that if the massacres continued, she may come in harm’s way. Yet Talbot could not do anything. He wrote to Natalia over and over, but there was no answer.
By the time the second and third barracks fell, Talbot received news of Natalia. She had been killed by one of the Exalt’s army. No one really knew what came over Talbot then, but some might say that he was possessed by a demon with the drastic turn his personality took. Talbot no longer read or played, and he hardly ate. He also began to read dark tomes, which he usually avoided. He began to get into fights with other Shepherds, dueling to the point where he had received serious lacerations and his opponent was badly injured.
When the seventh barracks fell, Talbot knew he had to make a change for the better. He tried his best to get along with the other Shepherds, trying to kindle the flames of alliance that they once had between each other. But the Shepherds were frightened. Talbot, still bleeding from his broken heart, entertained them by singing songs of old and learning to play the lute. The one who tried to kill anyone who stepped close to him had become the one who tried to preserve the troops’ happy spirits.
Finally the eighth barracks fell in a bloody battle. Talbot was in said battle, fighting for his life. The spells had almost taken his energy to fight, but he had survived to the very end. Bruised and bleeding, Talbot left for Plegia with the loyal Shepherds and now vows to show the world how corrupt Darrian is.

Name: Ambra

Age: 20

Gender: Female

Birthday: September 3rd

Class: Archer

Allied to?: Shepherds

Weapons: Silver Bow

Clothing: This clothing is light enough for me!

Appearance: Got somethin’ for you...!

Personality: Ambra is quite curious. She is very sweet and kind, and a romantic. In other words, she acts very young for her age. Her feelings can be easily hurt and she often does not understand dirty or inappropriate jokes. This leads to the assumption that she is slow, but she is really quick as a whip. Even if she is a pacifist, she has a very dark side to her. She can be aggressive and humorless when she is bothered. She can very well lash out at someone like an angry cat if severely provoked. Even if this is fact, Ambra always attempts to keep her sweet and kind exterior to loved ones. Ambra truly believes that anyone can be trusted if they say so, which can lead to trouble down the road.

Biography: Ambra was born to a very loving mother and father. When she was a newborn, she was never expected to survive a month. Due to this fact Ambra has always been a sickly woman, easily afflicted by disease. Her mother could not even give her milk, due to being so weak after her birthing. Her father lived with his sisters, however, one of which birthed a month before and had milk of her own. Ambra was saved by her aunt, who nursed her and kept her warm and full. Despite the wet-nursing, Ambra forged a very strong bond with her mother. When her mother was healthy again, Ambra constantly played with her. Her father often joined in the play-fights they had.
Though the diseases took their toll on her mother. A previous ailment had left her very weak, and another one grabbed hold of her too soon. She passed away soon after, leaving her father and her by themselves once they moved to Ylisse. Her father became severely depressed, and he was almost driven to the point of killing himself. Knowing his unstable condition, he sent eighteen year old Ambra to the Shepherds to be recruited into their ranks. While Ambra did not understand why her father gave her over to the mercenaries, a man named Scipio told her that she soon would.
For the next one and a half year, Scipio trained Ambra the only way he knew how: in the art of archery. He was a brutal teacher, unfeeling and cold. He was strict when he was training her and woke her up at dawn so she could train until dusk. Her fingers became lacerated and bleeding, and yet she continued her training. Nocking, pulling, shooting. Nocking, pulling, shooting. Soon Ambra could make a bulls-eye from long distances, and became a strong warrior.
When Exalt Darrian began his genocide, Ambra was terrified. Yet she fled to Plegia before the last barracks fell, and reunited with the Shepherds. Due to leaving before her time, Ambra was branded a coward by many of her brothers in arms.

Quirk: Knows most about salves, poisons, and healing herbs.

Strengths: Amazing medic, very smart and cunning.

Weaknesses: Very trusting, emotional, stubborn.

Likes: Animals, books, flowers, warm weather, nice people.

Dislikes: Violence, people who bother her.

Romantic Interest: None.

Name: Lumara

Age: 22

Gender: Female

Birthday: December 12th

Class: Wyvern Lord

Allied to?: Shepherds

Weapons: Killer Lance, Short Axe

Clothing: Basic Wyvern Rider Uniform

Appearance: Don’t take me as a sweetheart. And her mount, Caius, a male wyvern.

Personality: Lumara is usually misliked by a lot of people due to her tough and ambitious nature. She is loud, obnoxious, and believes that she is the best warrior that ever graced the land. She loves to drink and dance and sing, drunkenly, of course. Other than that, she is vicious and merciless in battle... Despite being young, she can take down a few men without even stopping for a breath. Speaking of men, Lumara loves them. A lot. One could say she sleeps around. Other than being loud, annoying, and a drunk, Lumara will gladly lay down her life for one of the Shephards… if she’s sober enough to do it. Funnily, she also gives Caius some of the alcohol she contains, which often leads to a passed out wyvern in the middle of camp.

Biography: Lumara was born in Ylisse as well, but to a very wealthy family. She was raised to be a proper lady, one that would cook and clean for her husband when she was old enough to marry. Lumara didn’t think that she was suited for the life of a noble, however. She ran away from home at the age of fifteen, leaving behind all of her valuables. Lumara took up arms with a rogue mercenary group called the Riders of Dawn, and while she served them, they protected her. She was given weapons and proper clothing suited for battle.
Lumara became a Wyvern Rider when she was in her second year of being with the Riders. It was then that she met her brown Wyvern, and named him Caius. The two forged a strong bond as rider and Wyvern.
The Riders of Dawn were killed in a squabble between a rival faction when Lumara was twenty. Having her family ripped away, Lumara turned to alcohol. She often drank so much that she would pass out in local taverns and wake up when it was time to close up. Everyone knew her as the local drunk and everyone avoided her. Lumara began sour and aggressive, continuously drinking and finding men to spend time with.
One day, Lumara was wasted, as usual. She had provoked a fight with a Shepherd, and the two had a very violent brawl. When she had beaten the crap out of him, and he out of her, the Shepherd laughed. He admired her spirits, he said, and asked if she could join. Lumara thought that this was a joke; the man was offering her work even as he cradled his dislocated jaw. But he was serious. Lumara took up arms once again at the age of twenty and simultaneously became a Wyvern Lord.
When the barracks fell, Lumara fled to Plegia with the rest of the loyal Shepherds.

Quirk: Is the quickest climber.

Strengths: Cunning, loyal.

Weaknesses: Loud, doesn’t listen to anyone, a drunkard, very violent.

Likes: Alcohol, men, violence, warmth, Caius, the Shepherds.

Dislikes: Just about everything else.
Username: Dragon

Name: Darrian

Age: 25

Gender: Male

Birthday: October 12th

Class: Great Lord [Since he is the Exalt]

Allied to?: Ylisse

Weapons: Falchion, Noble Rapier

Clothing: Exalt Clothing [I LOVE THAT BLUE-GRAY COMBO ARGGGGG]

Appearance: Something like that, with his hair cut a bit short. The Mark of the Exalt is found on his lower back.

Personality: In public, Darrian is as calm, kind, and gentle as was Emmeryn. He picks up children and puts them on his shoulders, and kisses newborn babes for their mothers. He speaks of peace and justice to his people, but really, he couldn’t be further from speaking the truth. When he is with his men, Darrian is cold and uncaring. He has sent men on impossible missions before, and does not care for their obvious fear of being slaughtered at enemy doorsteps. While many of his soldiers would carry out his every command, there are others who seek to overthrow Darrian. However, he has made quick work of removing that threat; anyone who steps out of bounds will be on the block with an axe at their throat in no time. Some say he is simply insane, burdened by the load that his ancestors passed to him, but even Darrian thwarts that suspicion.

Biography: Darrian was the first born of the current Exalt. It was known that he would one day become the ruler of Ylisse, and when Darrian was but three, he was thrown into a whirlwind of training. He was taught how to fight and how to be diplomatic, how to speak and how to read, and when to be stern and when to be kind. Darrian mastered all of these lessons at sixteen, but there was one aspect of being the next in line that he loved- fighting. Darrian would easily take on three or four people at the time without a fatal wound. The man was a master swordsman at age twenty.
However, as he continued to fight, his other skills began to grow weak. Darrian became very aggressive, always arguing and being unfair to the servants around the castle. He knew exactly what he was; he was royal blood, and he should be treated as such.
No one did anything to stop Darrian. When the previous Exalt passed on to the next world, Darrian was immediately crowned as the new Exalt. It was then that he began to plot to take over the whole world, uniting Valm, Plegia, and Ylisse under his banner. No one was going to stop him.
Until the Shepherds began to find out about his scheme. Darrian began to grow paranoid and afraid, much like a little child. When he ordered the genocide of the Shepherds, the land was confused. Why would he want a massive branch of the protectors of Ylisse murdered? However, cunning Darrian immediately made up a lie. He said that the Shepherds were traitors, working hand in hand with Plegia. And so started the slaughter…

Quirk: Possibly the quickest to get angry.

Strengths: Very cunning, and very persuasive.

Weaknesses: Horribly aggressive [has been known to kill his own men in fits of anger], will risk anything to get what he wants, and somewhat oppressive.

Likes: Fancy foods, being treated as he is supposed to be treated, his most loyal men, striking fear into his enemies’ hearts, hunting the Shepherds, making sure he is in control, Ylisse, war, success.

Dislikes: the Shepherds, some of his ancestors [Chrom and Lucina especially], being disrespected, stubborn people who don’t want to be controlled, failure, peace.

Romantic Interest: Well, he HAS to have a bride to produce a heir… but he’s single now.

Other: Some say he might have a few bastard sons around Ylisse.
