Booker walked slowly as he reached the abandoned house. He had heard many things about the old house, many of them he didn't believe at all. It was mostly just ghost stories about 'the owners of the house, who apparently haunted the house and cursed anyone who trespassed onto their territory.' Or many things similar to that at least. He was at the house because he was curious as to what made the house so apparently haunted. Did the house look impossibly old and broken down on the inside? He didn't know, and none of his friends knew, so he was going to debunk the myths about the house once and for all.
His steps picked up as he neared the door. The house did have an odd aura about it, but that was probably because no one had visited he house in a number of years. His hand extended out to the door knob and grabbed onto it, the cold metal leaving a strange feeling on his hand as he twisted it and pulled the door open. It was still the middle of the day, so he didn't worry about bringing a flashlight or anything, and with a cloudless day like today, he wasn't worried at all about being trapped in the darkness.
Slowly and carefully, Booker walked into the house and took a look around, inspecting the area to see anything that would give the place a reason to be feared. The house itself didn't look all that bad. it was old, that was for sure, but it wasn't anything some heavy duty cleaning couldn't fix. He didn't touch anything as he looked around the house, but as he looked around the main room, he found an old doll all by itself. He was curious as to why it was just there, and slowly approached it and knelt down to it. He hadn't touched anything else in the house as of yet, and the doll was going to be the first.
