Riding crops? Yeah, those things suck...I discovered how much they suck when I first started watching Familiar of Zero (Louise if a b!tc#).

Um... a riding crop used PROPERLY isn't made for punishment. It's designed to direct the horse, and when you do what you're supposed to it doesn't harm the horse any more than it's own tail. What's REALLY cruel in horse riding is the bit, which litterally pushes the horse's teath apart until it turns the right way.

Keeping animals in general sucks...but domesticated animals have a harder time fitting back into the wild due to loss of older instincts. All us humans seems to do is keep destroying, and destroying wild life...I wouldn't be surprised if our doom is an animal uprising.
