Depends. What Transformers universe is it gonna take place in, what's gonna be the plot outline, the character freedoms and limitations? I love the franchise and all but you can't expect people to show much interest when "Transformers?" is the only info you give.

Personally, I'd like to see it set in the G1 universe. Not only is it the one I'm most familiar with, but it's also my favorite.

Which incarnation, cartoon G1, original Marvel Comics G1, IDW G1 or an amalgamation of it all? Also Beast Wars and Beast Machines technically take place at the very end of the cartoon G1 continuity as well.

Well, cartoon G1 is the one I'm most familiar with, but really, I was referring to the entire G1 umbrella, so a combination of all of them.

Just saying, though I'm honestly fine with basically anything not the Unicron Trilogy. G1 cartoon, Beast Wars, Beast Machines, post Beast Machines, Animated, Prime, shit even Robots in Disguise.

I'd also be fine with Armada. Armada's got a special place for me since it's what got me into Transformers in the first place. Then the Bay movies rekindled my interest to where it is now. Honestly, I don't really see any issue with the Bay movies. I thought they were just fine.

Armada's decent, its biggest problem for roleplays in my eyes is that has two established sequels and Energon is like the worst thing to come out of the franchise barring something like Kiss Players. As for the Bay movies I had a post detailing why I don't like them but it's better if I just agree to disagree and move on.

Anyway, let's hope Revans notices the activity here. I've been trying to find a Transformers RP since the old Guild went down and the one I was in got lost. It doesn't seem to have made it over here, unfortunately.

Well, I am interested, though it depends on the universe for me. I prefer the Beast Wars/G1 or Fall of Cybertron universes.

G1 seems to be the most popular. So we will go with that.

If we were to do that one it would not be based on the cartoon. That show was freaking ridiculous. The Contructicons had five origins stories.

Also NO humans or any other kind of alien. Purely giant robots.

Ideas from any version of G1 is acceptable as long as it doesn't contradict another idea. I.e. Constructicons have more than one origin story.

Ideas from War for and Fall of Cybertron.

Alt Modes that are designed for hiding should not include giant Autobot & Decepticon team insignias on them, because that would defeat the purpose of the alt mode.

I will work on a plotline sometime after 8pm I will leaving shortly. It may not be taking place on Cybertron.

I would prefer all original characters. When creating your character keep in mind at this time Optimus' & Megatron's forces are on Earth in stasis buried inside a volcano while the Beast Wars are taking place. We will not be going to Earth so the participants of the Beast Wars can't screw up their past our characters' present day by telling their ancestors about the future even by accident.

Also by the way Time Travel is not allowed.

There's an idea. Why not simply continue on from War and Fall of Cybertron. Start with the ark finally awakening on the Earth and work your GM magic to retell the story any way you like? Maybe the humans are going to attack both sides? Maybe the Transformers will team up with GI Joe (not my preference to be honest)?

The biggest problem with the Transfomers franchise is all the freaking humans. They offer absolutely nothing to the franchise. They steal time from the characters who should be getting time the Transformers.

I'd really rather not touch the canon characters or events much, if at all. There's millions of years between the time the Ark took off and the Transformers within awakened on Earth going by the general G1 convention. Millions of years of possibility to explore as the Cybertronian race continued their conflict, their home planet now dead and ruined while basically all of their leaders and their greatest heroes dissapeared into nothingness. Lots of fun to be had around that time period, easy to create epic stories without ever coming close to messing up canon events in any way, shape or form.

I'd be happy to apply a character; I want to get into a Transformers RP. I like the idea to explore what happened in the void between G1 Earth events and the Fall of Cybetron, with all the characters floating in space and such.
I'm surprised there isn't a TV show already about it.

Characters struggling to keep hope as the leaders of their faction just leave, hoping that they come back with some sort of way to win the war against the others. I think that it should be interesting to take part in.
