Name: John Pantazis
Age (16+): 28
Gender: Male
Nationality: Greek
Years as a Runner: 28 (offspring of Michael Pantazis and Georgia Moustaka, both Runners)
Description of appearance (and outfit): Tall and slim. Not as fit as a Runner is expected to be (only externally, though). Prefers sleeveless shirts and tight jeans. Interestingly enough, they seem to hinder neither his image, his education, or his running capabilities. Short facial hair and totally not unpleasant characteristics generally. His charm is sometimes hindered a bit by his mysterious and dark nature, rare but totally unexpected and destructive outrages when his berserk button is pressed, and his almost frightening intellect and cynicity.
A brief bio (complete with personality): John is a kid with inherited immunity, which was taught by very young the ways of the Runners. He had a very optimist view of life, at first: he would frequently think of a world that the Wage Slaves would be cured, the Operari would be outthrown, and everyone would lie in peace and prosperity; a world that everyone would work for the good of the nation, not because of a virus, but because they really wanted to.
Everything changed, however, when he saw his parents die in a conflict with the Spectres -he himself barely survived-, he had a drastic change of personality. He could no longer identify the good and the bad in life, and became extremely cynical in most aspects. Only recently did he manage to -partly- set aside those emotions and started living normally again -at least, in the open, as he would not be this pleasant with the few people he thought he could trust his emotional problems at.
Quite some years now, he had been recruited at Section X, being under training for years until today, where he had his first missions. This is the first time he is actually going to become a force of the Runners.

John is a kind of anti-hero. THough he still searches for liberty of his kind, he is much more pessimistic and cynical now. His deadpan snarks are something he is known for in his society. However, he still remains relatively calm, concentrated and gentle, while trying to get a hold of his sarcastic nature by discharging it mostly as self-sarcasm. When someone pushes him to his limits, though, he will not live to tell anyone the sudden and maniac-like way he will expend his outrage on those who didn't know when to shut it. He already had a couple of incidents this way, which should get him exorcised. However, his parents' memory, who where people really respected at Greece, made Section X officers give the loose cannon one more chance to get a hold of himself. Though he is generally respected -and even liked- by people, everyone is maybe too nice on him, in fear that they may accidentically press his berserk button otherwise. This irritates him deeply, even though he knows they may be right up to a point.
Melee weapon: An exotic weapon not seen by anyone else, a hidden extendable dagger that can be worn behind the palm, using classified technology to make it almost transparent; a present from his father, John has done his best to upgrade it, and succeeded by making it able to actually throw the dagger blades at the flick of the hand, along with a reloading mechanism that allows him to throw up to 3 blades loaded on it beforehand in less than 2 seconds, then use an emergency blade that cannot be launched. He uses it only when he is cornered for a think-fast self-defense kill, following the Runner code in that manner. (The incidents aforementioned were both done solely by unarmed combat, with power and aggression not really expected by his body appereance.) He is also proficient with sniper firearms, whom he has only acquired once or twice, not being official weapons of the Runners.

I think I would like a resume of what has happened until now, along with the answer to one simple question: if the virus can be fought away by the body, why doesn't anyone try to extract the antibodies from a Runner and apply them to the Wage Slaves?

Sorry, I forgot to make a note of it on the first page but this roleplay is closed.

I can answer that, though: Nowhere, to my knowledge, is it stated that the virus is fought off by a simple antibody. It's a genetic immunity, caused by a mutation of the EPAS1 gene. This gene mutation is also what allows Runners to live at such high altitudes, and is a condition found commonly in 21st century Tibetans.
The only mention of any form of antibody would be the one John made for Gilligan and Churchill. One designed specifically for them, because if he'd made a general antibody then anybody could've used it.

Also, for future reference: Nobody is part of Sector X, alright? Sector X, Sector Y, every other Sector is an NPC Sector. I write them to fill out the world, but this is V's story.

EDIT: Also, there aren't any loose cannons in Sector X. Maggie might give off the impression that they're a pretty lax group of badasses but if you disobeyed her orders she'd have you busted down to Sector Y so fast your head'd spin.

Oh, I didn't know that. Is there anywhere it is continued?
And also, you said that Wage Slaves that don't drink the contaminated water create their own chemicals to fight it, which means antibodies are actually created after the virus supply is cut.

I... don't believe I ever said that, actually. If I did, it was most certainly a typo. As far as I recall, the closest I've ever said regarding that is that sometimes Wage Slaves were re-conditioned in Sundown, but I don't believe I ever said they became immune to the virus. The purposes of this reconditioning are left intentionally vague for future events, but I can assure you Wage Slaves by no means develop an immunity simply by not drinking the water. The moment they start drinking again, they'll be indoctrinated as they were before.

EDIT: Also, closed means we are not recruiting anymore, not that the roleplay is finished. TSTS is still alive and going.

It was his Mega Buster, a cannon that made up his forearm. His hand would retract at the wrist and the barrel would extend, it was a neat little piece of tech.

Possible future Runner/Spectre tech?

Ohhh... that's bad. It was one of the few roleplays that actually got my attention.
And also, since chemicals are created to fight off the virus, and most likely suceed in it (as the cure of Wage Slaves would have stopped being tested), it means that something in the immunity system of humans is able to repel the virus. Such actions (when antigenes are concerned) are accompanied by creation of memory cells, which are now able to repeat said actions when the virus re-enters the body.

Sorry, we've got our platter filled, the roster was already mostly filled before RPG was even relaunched and was fully completed when our newest players joined.

You should probably re-read the OP. I'm sorry, you can't out-science me here because you're just... wrong. There are no antibodies you can magically transfer, what the Runners have is genetic and thus can't be applied to Wage Slaves who don't share their defective gene. Wage Slaves are only freed of the effects if they stop drinking the water and will become susceptible to them again after they start drinking again, the same way they would with anything sharing Servitutem's nature.
No self replicating, transferable antibody. None.

Now those guys sound tough!
On a more serious note: I have to defend my exam project this coming Thursday, and thus I have some preparation to do and doubt I will have enough time to write up a post of decent quality... Though I will aim to have one up by the end of the coming week.

Alright, I understand Empath's silence because she's gotta sit an exam, but can't the rest of you at least check in? Berry, Vivid, I get worried when people go quiet because generally when you go quiet that means this roleplay is dying.
