Name: John Pantazis
Age (16+): 28
Gender: Male
Nationality: Greek
Years as a Runner: 28 (offspring of Michael Pantazis and Georgia Moustaka, both Runners)
Description of appearance (and outfit): Tall and slim. Not as fit as a Runner is expected to be (only externally, though). Prefers sleeveless shirts and tight jeans. Interestingly enough, they seem to hinder neither his image, his education, or his running capabilities. Short facial hair and totally not unpleasant characteristics generally. His charm is sometimes hindered a bit by his mysterious and dark nature, rare but totally unexpected and destructive outrages when his berserk button is pressed, and his almost frightening intellect and cynicity.
A brief bio (complete with personality): John is a kid with inherited immunity, which was taught by very young the ways of the Runners. He had a very optimist view of life, at first: he would frequently think of a world that the Wage Slaves would be cured, the Operari would be outthrown, and everyone would lie in peace and prosperity; a world that everyone would work for the good of the nation, not because of a virus, but because they really wanted to.
Everything changed, however, when he saw his parents die in a conflict with the Spectres -he himself barely survived-, he had a drastic change of personality. He could no longer identify the good and the bad in life, and became extremely cynical in most aspects. Only recently did he manage to -partly- set aside those emotions and started living normally again -at least, in the open, as he would not be this pleasant with the few people he thought he could trust his emotional problems at.
Quite some years now, he had been recruited at Section X, being under training for years until today, where he had his first missions. This is the first time he is actually going to become a force of the Runners.
John is a kind of anti-hero. THough he still searches for liberty of his kind, he is much more pessimistic and cynical now. His deadpan snarks are something he is known for in his society. However, he still remains relatively calm, concentrated and gentle, while trying to get a hold of his sarcastic nature by discharging it mostly as self-sarcasm. When someone pushes him to his limits, though, he will not live to tell anyone the sudden and maniac-like way he will expend his outrage on those who didn't know when to shut it. He already had a couple of incidents this way, which should get him exorcised. However, his parents' memory, who where people really respected at Greece, made Section X officers give the loose cannon one more chance to get a hold of himself. Though he is generally respected -and even liked- by people, everyone is maybe too nice on him, in fear that they may accidentically press his berserk button otherwise. This irritates him deeply, even though he knows they may be right up to a point.
Melee weapon: An exotic weapon not seen by anyone else, a hidden extendable dagger that can be worn behind the palm, using classified technology to make it almost transparent; a present from his father, John has done his best to upgrade it, and succeeded by making it able to actually throw the dagger blades at the flick of the hand, along with a reloading mechanism that allows him to throw up to 3 blades loaded on it beforehand in less than 2 seconds, then use an emergency blade that cannot be launched. He uses it only when he is cornered for a think-fast self-defense kill, following the Runner code in that manner. (The incidents aforementioned were both done solely by unarmed combat, with power and aggression not really expected by his body appereance.) He is also proficient with sniper firearms, whom he has only acquired once or twice, not being official weapons of the Runners.
I think I would like a resume of what has happened until now, along with the answer to one simple question: if the virus can be fought away by the body, why doesn't anyone try to extract the antibodies from a Runner and apply them to the Wage Slaves?
