The Justice League is getting older in 2020. While most of it's founding members are in their early to mid-forties, Superman himself still looks nearly the same he had a decade prior. The League had gone through several incarnations over the years. There were also splinter units like the Justice League of America and the JL United, as well as the JL Dark led by none other than John Constantine. In the year 2020 however, heroic metahumans are getting to be fewer and fewer. Most alien races that didn't appear to be human were often shunned by society, the now more alien Green Lantern from the planet Tandax was banned from Earth. The economy in the United States was still fighting a losing battle. Crime rates, especially metahuman crime, was up a record 120% from this time in 2010. Law Enforcement all began wearing more militaristic SWAT team style gear equipped with state of the art non-lethal AND lethal weaponry. Visually something resembling Robocop mixed with a little Judge Dredd just also packing riot gear. Some metahumans operating as heroes are not welcomed by all of the 2020 law enforcers. Only the League has been officially sanctioned by the President of the 'States: Clara Kendall. Young heroes have been 'sponsored' by the remaining members of the League to operate in Star City [former home of the now deceased Green Arrow] one of the larger metropolitan cities with increased metahuman crime. Can the young heroes take back Star City from the grips of chaos and become full fledged members of the Justice League?

This game is a bit of an alternate future storyline, which is something DC Comics is attempting with their Future's End crossover. The only similarity being that in my future Green Arrow is dead, same as in Future's End. Each player will need to be 'sponsored' by one of the members of the League listed below. The player/character can have something in common with the hero, operate in the same city as the hero maybe, or maybe had an adventure with one of them?

There can be multiple heroes sponsored by the Leaguers. I'm sure not all of them will be taken anyway because player's don't exactly have to give them a similar power set to the sponsor. I also just edited in the Powers & Weaknesses parts of the CS template. Can't believe I forgot them initially.

My guy just has Superman as a sponsor cause he's also a humanoid alien who crash landed on Earth, but instead of Smallville it was in Metropolis.

As for a power, I was thinking this:

Basically, Sin, my character, was born with the DNA of an unknown species. It's not known whether it was injected into him by an insane, fake 'doctor', or if his mother was originally born with it herself, but this unique mutation has virtually changed his entire DNA system, forming his blood into wild, fluctuating cells that goes by the name of 'nanolite'. This has given his over-all physical and mental core increased conditioning due to it not being comparable to simple human DNA cells, meaning superhuman attributes and instinctive reactions.

This genetic mutation also came with the manipulation over his own body. Sin has complete control over the anatomies and bodies of his own self, including skin, nails, fat, muscles, blood, nerves, etc., allowing him to freely alter and manipulate them. He can grow additional appendages and body-parts, remove them or otherwise manipulate his body in visible, chemical and cellular/sub-cellular levels.

Don't have to know anything about the show. I changed the concept up a little and made it in the future... honestly a new spin on Impulse could work but I'd rather a legacy from a deceased hero be filled. Not saying somebody should become the new Green Arrow... you could, but anybody could say that [insert hero or villain] is dead and that your character is the new character filling their boots figuratively and literally.

In the classic Young Justice comic Impulse had a rivalry/respect for the seasoned hero the Ray because he flew at lightspeeds. Maybe you could do the Ray and just change him up? Did you know the Flash after the 80's Crisis was supposed to have light based powers of some kind and the Flash was supposed to be in the same context as "Flash of light"? More like the Ray eventually was a decade or so later... maybe you could do something with light/lightspeed be it running or flying and have the Flash keep tabs on your character? Lightray of the New Gods had similar powers as well as the enhanced physical attributes of the 'Gods... you could steal his name LOL

IDK man, I'm kinda making a mischievous character already and if it was Impulse with the usual personality they'd be quite a bit alike personality wise...

Booster Gold as someone's sponsor early on... I'm curious to see where this goes!

By killing an enemy and absorbing them, he grows in biomass, increasing his strength, speed, and stamina, along with his density.

The League generally doesn't kill enemies so absorbing metahuman criminals would be a deal breaker. If he's physically and mentally enhanced plus has abilities like growing longer nails, extra arms, etc... I'd go ahead and make him like a limited Plastic Man or Mr. Fantastic... I do like that the powers come from a metahuman mutation in his DNA!

Yeah, basically I took the powers from another character I had. I edited out.

The reason he's not similar to 'Plastic Man' or 'Mr. Fantastic' is because he doesn't specifically make himself stretchier, and the way his powers work isn't similar as well. It's kind of like this...:

Sin watched as the baseball flew towards him at supersonic speed. He only had a few minutes to react. Patience...patience.

A beastial growl rose from his throat, and the teen abruptly turned his hand blurring upwards as he stared at the robot who threw the baseball. Behind him, the ball split into two mid-air, falling onto the concrete sidewalk silently, before exploding.

Sin grinned grimly.

His right arm was now...different, if you could even consider it an arm. The entire arm, from the shoulder down, was basically a large, gleaming black, spiky sword made up of some sort of gleaming cold material that seemed to absorb and reflect light. Another baseball was thrown his way. Dashing forward, Sin brought his sword-arm upwards, slicing through the baseball grenade's middle like a knife through butter. His feet abruptly dug into the concrete, and Sin twisted around, his left arm transforming into a bladed, tentacle-like tendril that shot forward and pierced the robot through the chest, jerking it backwards toward Sin's solitary figure.

"Get over here...!" he quoted in his usual disembodied voice, just as the robot was in his face. His left arm transformed back into it's usual form, while he completely bisected and eviscerated the robot with his sword-arm.

That's basically it. If anything, I took HEAVY inspiration from the Prototype series when writing out the powers, as Prototype 2 and 1 are my favorite games. Anyways, DrewVonAwesome, if my character is screwing with your idea then just tell me. I have multiple characters I can tweak and use here.

Name - Ronald 'Ron' Carter
Alias - Desert Beetle
Age - 20 physically and mentally, technically 97.

Personality - Cocky, Arrogant, Brave
Powers -
-Concussive blasts affected by his emotions. The more strongly he feels about something the more powerful his blasts will be stronger.
-Enhanced eyesight/perception
-Enhanced dexterity and speed in his arms and upper body.
-Time Travel(EXTREMELY LIMITED)
Weaknesses - His blasts reduce in power the worse he feels, this doesn't happen often because of his can-do attitude, but when it does his blasts are significantly lower in power. While his suit can take quite the beating, any weak spots or exposed areas take the amount of damage equivalent to what he would take without his supersuit. His supersuit cannot deflect bullets and only acts as a suppression to them. His time travel can only be used once every 10 years and even then Ron hasn't mastered it to the point that he can control where or when he will end up.
Appearance - Ron has a brown short back and sides that is equivalent to the style of his time. He has a strong jaw and stands at 5 foot 11 and has more muscle than fat. That is not to say that he is extremely muscular, he is in good shape, but nowhere near that of someone who professionally lifts weights. His costume is rather simple in design. Uniform(without the gun of course). He often wears the goggles on his eyes during superhero duties. Underneath the clothing seen in the image, he wears a sort of 'supersuit' that is essentially just armour to help protect him when in a fight.
BRIEF Bio - Ron was born in Brooklyn, 1923 when the world was recovering from WW1. His father fought in the first world war, but was greatly injured by a grenade and forced to leave early. He got a job at a butchery and spent most of his time outside his work helping his family. Ron had a smaller brother and sister, who he greatly tried to defend throughout his childhood to the point where he hardly let his younger sister talk to any boys without being in a group. He grew up fighting with practically everyone in his street, he had a very close and small group of friends who always backed him up, but there was always the odd time when they weren't there to help him and he was ambushed by a group of ruffians.

He learned he wasn't the same as everyone else around the time he was 13. He was in a fight with a lad who had made a rather rude comment about Ron's mother and accidentally send a high powered concussive beam from his eyes to the wall in front of him, narrowly missing the boy he was fighting. This went through the wall like paper and sent the boy running. Superheroes weren't so accepted in this time and so, Ron kept the power a secret and denied everything the boy said.

World War 2 started when Ron was 16. Things got tough where he lived, he grew accustomed to the noise of a raid siren and had to face the 'joys' of food rationing. A year after the war had started, Ron was able to join the army, but decided to join a year later after his father was stricken with illness. He was designated as a sniper in the North Africa campaign when he eventually joined. Sniping wasn't much use during the war unless cover missions were needed to be done, and so Ron was also taught how to operate a machine gun and how to operate a tank. He fought for a year before his second power was found.

He was on a covert mission to take out a high ranking Axis officer when all he could think about was getting home. He eventually found the officer and had him in his sights when it happened. A blinding flash of light surrounded Ron and knocked him unconscious. When he woke up, he was in a strange, brightly lit place that was like nothing he had ever seen before. After some inquiring, he found out he was in 'Metropolis' and was miles away from Africa or Boston. He had no money and very little supplies so he did the only thing he could do and try to find some odd jobs to do around town. It soon became known around town about the bewildered guy who had came into town in a flash of light which led to Booster Gold going to check it out. Ron explained what happened to him and described the power he had displayed when he was younger to which Booster Gold offered to train him in the use of his powers, along with explaining that people with powers like those are, or were as of yet accepted by society as protectors. Ron accepted, but is still having trouble with getting up to date on the whole technology and whatnot.
Notes - Booster Gold took on Ron mostly for the fact that he was a time traveller much alike him.

BRIEF Bio - I'll be working on it, but basically she tried to rob Bruce Wayne...
Notes - Besides Batman's fondness for scooping up orphans, Batman saw something in Jin- potential. He knew that if she was left on the streets, she'd probably become a very adept, very dangerous criminal within the next 5-10 years. So he decided to turn the path of her destiny, and use her untapped potential for something good.

So... right now we've got my guy:

Powers - alien Carggite ability to triplicate into three individuals with a telepathic link to one another and slightly increased physical attributes.
Weaknesses - while stronger, faster, and more durable than most humans, Ditto can still be harmed by anything an average human would be. It should be noted his suit is a light body armor.
Appearance -
BRIEF Bio - Kilian recently crash landed on Earth while travelling the stars, in Metropolis no less, and shortly after began moonlighting as a superhero when Superman was away. A native of the planet Cargg, Superman was familiar with Ditto's alien heritage from his experience with the Legion of Superheroes from the 30th century. After meeting the hero in costume after a run-in with Parasite, the older Superman discovered out of costume he was living in homeless shelters while one of his duplicates performed on the street for pocket change.
Notes - Ditto's symbol is Interlac for the letter d. Interlac is a common alphabet used by various planets in the neighboring space sectors, mostly for interplanetary trade and shipping.

As well as a female Static type of character Endrance is developing, Drew's Plastic Man, possibly somebody with the Engineer as a sponsor, as well as anyone who's shown interest here. So get me some finished CS's people! If I had time I'd repost Drew's but its Easter AND 420 so I gotta get out of the house and celebrate!
