The driver seat has massage and fully adjustable. Same with passenger seat." Linda spoke while totally ignoring his wandering hand and not quite proper inquiry.

"As far as the year book goes, I didn't get one. You'd have to hunt for your own yearbook. Didn't you get one? And if you are hinting at seeing my high school pictures, forget it. I didn't have my pictures taken, thanks to my parents. I had an..... unusual past. If you want information about me, please try the more direct approach. I am not all that bad when you understand me. I do have a fun side when I am not on duty." Linda spoke softly as she leaned against the wall.

Lance shaking his head with a smirk

" Ok.. maybe one day after this we can be .... nicer to each other because your so damn stuffy!"

Lance paused before she might accuse him of any frotteurism by passing her in such close quarters. " Excuse me, please" Allowing her to move back or forward. " Your smart.. I like that but too smart for your own good". Lance " Your right... I wanted insight to everything that you know from high school... I can do alot but I don't know all the players and this is why your hired me, yeah... I know that I wasn't most likely your first choice but I will get the job done, one way or another by legal or... questionable means of your client. " Lance moved to driver's seat and played with the controls. " I must admit that you have style and taste, as any woman would " Lance paused " I was going to poke fun at you... I'm curious because it kinda overlaps with this investigation". Lance turn t look at her " So... fell like opening up and telling me about your unusual past, or... keep secrets, I'm fine with that. But if you want someone non hositle then I would sugguest even as a lie... tell me something because I think that this whole thing smells like rotten fish".

Lance get up. "Besides... people like you can always afford nice things like this, I don't have a clue about high society and I know that I'll be over my head but -- awhhh skip it, sit your butt down next to me and lets go to AAA to get this done, then I'll be out of your hair till we talk on the phone but I'm sure that you will prefer email".

Lance sits down and turns over the engine and wait for her to sit down and buckle up.

"Ready?"

Lance will stop first at the Gas station before going to AAA or DMV

"I'll talk but first it will be between you and I. And do I have to be the secretary? I could just be a friend that has ways of getting information for you." Linda spoke as she walked towards the front of the RV.

She sat down in the passenger seat before she spoke once again.
"I am not rich. I am just a secretary on a $60,000 Salary. I pay for a high priced apartment but I feel safe there. I just can't afford what I'd like to have. I can get very nice clothes in discount clothes centers. So just because I can look like a million dollars does not mean that I am worth that much. I just know what I know is all.

My unusual life is not the normal life of a child. I never went to school because I was home taught. My parents did not like some of the things that public schools taught like evolution and sex education. I was taught by a tutor who did not grade on a curve. I learned more practical things such as stock market trends in economics. Which I prove to be better than my father. I actually used monopoly money as real money in grade school and my allowance was based on my grades. I graduated up to tracking stock market trends by high school. My fake shares did better than his. I do have some money in the stock market to this day. But I am a bit conservative or so I am told. I was excellent in English, Mathematics and Sciences. I also excelled in Computer and actually know many back ways to get into places.
When Lawyer Dawson needed a new secretary, I was nearly 18. I was hired on the spot and have been there ever since. My parents do not like the fact that I am an independent woman and they fear that I will get myself into trouble. But I haven't and don't plan on doing so.
My main hobbies are museums and photography. I enjoy learning new things and discovering secrets of other people so you had better be careful or I shall find out your secret. What else would you like to know?"

Again Lance was taken back by her comments, it wasn't what he expected. " Ok.. friends, yeah" Then Lance smiled " That mean you have to stop snooping aournd my messed up background" he smirked " so you like museums?...interesting" Lance spoke out out.

" I would have liked that you would have traveled with me. I think that it would have been a blast!" Lance smiled " I want to know if you have a gas car, is old gal is going to be thirsty soon, Oh.. you mind ...as a friend to help me get a few things at wally world?.. er...um... Walmart?"

Lance started up the beast and set it to drive.

With a quick "beep" and a waves the two new amigos were off.

Lance thought to himself... **maybe she isn't a bad as I thought that she was**

"I doubt that the RV needs gas yet since it was topped off and you do have two tanks. I don't own a car and I don't drive. Never needed to drive when I have public transportation around. And yes I will help you get the items that you need. Just give me a list of what you want.
I'll leave your background alone if you leave mine alone, deal? I am not too sure about traveling with you......." Linda responded as she looked out of the window.

[Espatier]

Lance pulled the vehicle over and stops the vehicle.

" Lady, I'll tell you as polite as I can be, for one"

Lance holds up his fingers to count out the numbers

" I didn't ask you to come, did I?"
" I said that it would have been a blast.... it wasn't an invitation for travel"
turning the seat to face her
" I know what your problem is... your too @$#ing smart, aren't you. You really don't like knuckle draggers like me that can get the dirty work done".

" Your parent messed you up so bad that you had problem with so called normal friend and the friends that you have a just as messed up as you!"

Lance leans in for the affect
" I don't know whether to spank you or to..."

Lance leans back away

" Fine... taking the spare keys you want this damn thing? Do you?. Becuase I don't need this or you, becuase out of all the messed up people that I had to deal with your are one of the worst, yes really!"

" Matter of fact... you can tell me where you want to go and I'll be that Chauffeur for you and drop you and this cursed thing all together. Your right... I was trying to find an excuse to bring you along but why the hell was I thinking".

" No, your right... you have a choice you can sit in the back or call a cab, make the decisions because you ...always like my mother makes the decision for everyone, so "MOM" go ahead".

Lance was mad and didn't hold anything back. His face was still red and hot as his Irish tempter too

Linda was so taken back that she wanted to cry but decided that would be so totally childish. Instead she smiled sweetly as she opened the door.
"I think that this is where we part, Detective Simmons. Keep me posted when you need information. Don't call between 8PM and 7AM and not all on Sundays or Saturdays."
She gently closed the door behind her and began to walk away from the RV while she adjusted her purse. She then took out her cell phone and called up the bus schedule app and check for the time schedule for the stop ahead.
She didn't need to go with him or any other male. They are all alike and will always lash out such Detective Simmons just did. She would simply ignore his remarks since she was not officially on duty any longer today. She had everything done for the day except the license bureau and she was sure that HE could take care of that as well.

"Men are not humans........ i don't think that I will ever understand how they think or why they do what they do and when they do it......." she muttered to herself.

Lance opened the door

" Is that what daddy taught you to do?... Quit?!"

" Fine... quit, maybe I should quit to them, right?, your a big girl"

Lance dangled the keys from the doorway

"Well?... are you going to run off when the tough just get started?. Because like you I can just walk away and be more bull and pig head than YOU"
** crosses his arms **

Linda turned around and faced Detective Simmons.
"If you didn't realized, I thought that perhaps I could trust you. My father wants me to quit and be a good little girl. Women are suppose to be kept pregnant, in the kitchen or in the bedroom under the man. I hate men who are like that and I won't tolerate such actions. If you want to see how stubborn and bullhead I can be, then keep pushing the wrong buttons, mister. You are doing that very well.

Besides it is harder to walk away by myself than to give into a man.. I am independent and I shall always be independent of any man. If I really wanted an RV like this, I could just sell some of the stocks that I have." She left out the fact that she never took driving lessons and therefore she couldn't drive the RV anyways.

[Espatier]

"Then show me by being the adult and coming back inside" He looked around to see if others were watching "Oh.. and because I'm Irish and good looking you think that you can take advantage of my kindness, right?"

" Come back... daddy's girl or prove him right and quit, walk away. Because your right... you are too smart for any man aren't you. Go ahead Linda show me how smart you are"

[Aisling]

Linda walked back to the RV for several reasons.
"I am coming back for more than one reason. First to show you that I am not a quitter, Secondly, my so called father has nothing to say to me any longer. I never was a daddy's girl like my sister was. I never was obedient little miss perfect like Cassandra. And thirdly I am not taking advantage of your Irishness nor your good looks. I only thought that perhaps you would be more intelligent. I am coming back because I hate waiting for an hour for the bus to home and I am not the smartest person alive. I am not even on the MENSA list." Linda retorted as she looked up at Simmons as she thought to herself *Not that I was allowed to even take the Sat or Cat or any other national testing. Father was afraid that I would outdo the boys or the young men of the family. And I most likely would too. Not that I am bragging.....*

"Would you like to have help with your shopping or not? If so, then please let us not aggravate each other. And keep the keys because I do not want them."

[Espatier]

"Good"

"Wait... that was a compliment, right?" " Nevermind"

" Yes I would like your help please "

Lance moved out of her way to let her back in then closed the door.

" I think that you need to sit down and tell me what I do to upset you, so that I can do the same to you... and get along "

Lance sat down at the kitchen table and waited for her to sit as well. " We are going to get along and be good friend... if it kills you, me... whom ever dies first"

[Aisling]

"Mostly it was about me being messed up. And about spanking. I will not ever submit to another so called spanking ever again." Linda spoke softly as she sat down.
"I already know that I am messed up. And yes my parents did this to me. I do not ever see or talk to my parents. I never had any friends because I am.......simply put very unemotional or as some put it stuck up. I know too that I have trust issues. SO do not ever bring any of those subjects up."

Linda took a tissue out of her purse and dabbed her eyes a bit.
"I doubt that you can change me so we might as well accept that fact. I'll help you get what ever you need and if I can find out various things for the case, I'll tell you. If you find a clue about the case I'll do the fact finding.."

[Espatier]

Lance softly and gentle gives her a hug but if her body switches to a more positive way, he will hold her tight and let her have a good cry as long as she needs it.

** inside Lance's mind ** don't do it.... put that white hat down, she just told you that you can't fix her, don't do it ** the voices in hi head continued.

" Hey...can I do something nice for you since we are going to be friends and more honest... well maybe one of us is already too honest, just think about it".

[Aisling]

Linda didn't flinch or pull away but she was not ready yet to give into her tears. She hated to be a weak female. She had fought all of her life not to be weak.

"Thanks I think that I needed a hug. Now to get down to business of getting what you need for this RV. In the bedrooms, you will need sheets and pillow cases. Towels and wash clothes for the bathroom. Dishes, glasses, cups, silverware, pots, skillets, dish towels, dish clothes, food. A broom, dust pan, trash cans, detergents to clean with, dish soap, scratch pads. Anything that you can think of?" she asked.

[Espatier]

"You" Lance said blankly " Now before you say no, listen to this. We leave here, you stay inside the RV, I come back with the intel, you can observe and see people with some of my surveillance gear as I'll wear an ear piece and talk to me through these people and their pecking order, "

"but yes... all need that and if your not coming along to cook for a month, something that I'll eat and made another refrigerator"

" Look... if you behave then I will take you out and even take you to a drive-in movie, a museum and.... some place special, how about that. Yes that means... that you have to pretend that you like me". Lance smiled

[Aisling]

Linda looked at Detective Simmons with such a surprised look on her face. After a few minutes of thinking, she spoke.
"I will need to go to my apartment and do some packing. I have a few things that might come in handy." she spoke hesitantly.
"I can get information about just about anyone I think but it takes time. I can set up a work room in the one room with desks, I can then walk you r=through various things and coach you on some things before hand.
As far as cooking, I am a decent cook and don;t mind cooking from time to time. I can even pretend to like you even for a few trips to museums."a weak smile came across her face.

[Espatier]

"This is a good start then and yes we have things to do and learn... from my new partner" lance explained then dug into his pants pocket and took out RV keys. " A full fledged partnership should start off on trust, here" Gently hands her keys.

" I'll drive you to your apt first, then he will go to mine, ok?" Lance asks then turns the passenger seat around so that when she sits, he can then turn it so that she then is faced the R.V. window.

"What kinda of music would my partner like to listen to?" lance asked as he restarted up the R.V. engine

[Aisling]

Linda pocketed the RV keys and sat down in the offered seat.
"I usually listen to piano music but most music is ok as long as it is too loud. My ears are a bit sensitive to noise. Thanks for the trust in me. And call me Linda. I live in the West End Apartments. I'll even let you come up with me. Just to warn you, no one ever has been allowed in with me so I might be questioned off to the side." Linda warned
