I did. I don't expect him to fight. I only expect him to let me know if he does see something come into the apartment. Whether its through a pistol round, a bloodcurling scream, or a call from the radio. I don't know. But, he is essentially serving as an early warning system for me. The 30 second thing was to make sure that he doesn't die without anyone of us knowing and if he does die, then he would be quiet and I would have the right to be suspicious that he passed away, From blood loss and his existing wounds, or from something else... I wouldn't know, but I would know that he died some how and that I need to be more careful.
He wouldn't really be a good system. Because he's not far into the apartments like you. We aren't even in the apartments yet. And going in, we wouldn't be anywhere high up yet. Or anyone further along the chain of apartment buildings.
Also, going off of the radio example so far... I just made STATIC MORSE for those inside the fog. Its best to assume everytime you flip on that radio, it goes off. For EVERYONE in the mission areas. Be it voice, static or more. Every time you engage that radio, you're ruining anyone/everyone's stealth and likely getting a lot of folks killed.
Furthermore, every 30 seconds? Pretty unrealistic. That's every couple of meters, radio in. That sort of order is more likely to get someone killed as they have to stop and announce their location to everything in the area. :D Then again, if you go into the fog... Radios aren't gonna do much of anything but be a waste of time and a lot of noise unless you're close to people. Ah, yeah, and trying to provide cover fire from above it isn't gonna do much either. Cuz its thick enough to disrupt your radio. And that you can't see the battling within.
