Everystep was tiring and hard, Loki was finding it hard to just move. He wanted to just lay down. His head was spinning and he was feeling weaker with each step. He would stop a few times as he coughed. He had no idea what was wrong.
The god knew he was unwell, His brother would be worried about him. But he was sure Thor had no idea where he was. Loki was in pain and he closed his eyes and breathed heavily. He felt like hell.

Not knowing he wouldn't get too far, and Stark Towers, which was now more of the Avengers tower was closest. He headed there, Though his head was pounding even worse. He doubled over and grunted in pain.
He had just woken feeling terrible a few days ago. His eyes were dull. LOki didn't have time to be ill, there had been other things he wanted to do. Though his body was weak. Looking around where he was Loki weighed up any his other opitions. Stark Towers was the last place he wanted to go. He knew the Avengers hated him, but he couldn't get home even of he wanted to too.

Though he knew wondered if he was dying. Unsure about anything really. He knew he needed somebody to help him. His head was hurting him badly. He coughed again and held his side.
Stark towers was nearing and he couldn't get much further. His magic was very low as well. Damn Loki thought. He looked around where he was again. Keeping look out for SHIELD. He knew going to Tony was a risk. He had thrown Tony out a window before. He was sure Tony may not want to see him. Groaning Loki collasped outside Stark towers. He had to hope Tony wouldn't call SHIELD.

Though Loki partly wondered if he deserved punishment. Part of him didn't care if he was going to be caught. He had done bad things , he knew he couldn't defend himself right now ether.
The god seemed to look like he was in very bad shape. "Tony...," he closed his eyes. He didn't have the energy to shout. He knew JARVIS would probably detect him and inform Tony.

Music blaring, Tony was working on a new feature for the Ironman suit in his lab. After the attack on New York the tower had be converted into more of a living quarters for the avengers if that was needed. However, at the moment Tony was the only one in the tower working away in the lab he had made sure was there before moving in. He did prefer his Malibu home but for now here he was. He hummed along with the music, AC/DC, as he spread some blueprints in front of him. This wasn't going to be at all difficult... Transplanting devices inside himself so he could actually get the ironman suit to basically come to him. It could be dangerous and Pepper would probably tell him that it wasn't worth it. He didn't care he was going to try anyway.

After a small amount if time scrutinising his designs he sighed, hand running through his shirt hair as he sat down. Nope. Not going to work. Memories of the attack on New York played across his mind, causing him to wince. Breath. Keep calm. He would be lying if he said he didn't have nightmares. He would be lying if he said he didn't have panic attacks now and then. He was a bit of a mess and he just couldn't get it off his mind. Everyone else had recovered quite easily. Bruce had disappeared pretty quickly, Clint and Natasha were back to super spy SHIELD stuff, Cap was working with SHIELD and Thor had disappeared off with Loki. And they were all used to it. Being on the front lines. Most of them were trained. He wasn't.

"Sir, I hate to interrupt your work..."

"What is it JARVIS?"

"There is someone outside the towers."

"Let them in then."

"Sir, they are in a bad shape."

Tony narrowed his eyes, standing and heading out of the lab. Why was someone at the door of Stark Towers? There weren't many visitors out with the avengers.

"JARVIS, who is it?"

"... Loki, sir."

What the hell? Tony paused. He had been about to just walk down the stairs and let them in like a normal person. But no, not happening. Tony frowned as he walked out onto the balcony. "JARVIS, suit me up." If didn't take long for him to walk forward, Iron Man suit coating him. Then, like the show off he was, he jumped off the balcony and just flew down there. JARVIS was right. Loki was in a bad state.

"What are you doing here?"

Groaning Loki looked up , he seemed extremly pale and dizzy. He knew Tony would not be glad to see him. He tensed up and was wondering what Tony was going to do with him. He was very weak. Too weak to be angry or to even attack Tony Stark.
"I ... couldn't get much further. Here was the closet and the only place I could think of coming." His eyes closed again. He knew anybody could so easily kill him when he couldn't fight back.
The god gulped not really knowing what to expect. He coughed and felt pain . He grunted and gritted his teeth. He wanted to remain strong and like he wasn't in pain. He coughed more.

The god of mischief looked tired and very weak. It was clear he wouldn't be able to fight let alone control an army right now. Even his normally perfect black hair was all messy. His eyes were so dull. It was like there was a lack of fight in Loki. He tried to get up only to collaspe and lay there looking rather patethic. He knew Thor would probably be worried as soon as he knew what was going on.

It seemed the god was seeing things. He yelled and backed up. He couldn't barely move though. His limbs were just too weak. For a destructive god who had caused so much chaos to the world, it was almost strange to see him so weak as he was now.
"I am not here to kill you." He rasped.
He wasn't sure Tony would trust him. He didn't know what to think. He wasn't sure if Tony would think he was faking any of this.

"Also not faking." Loki knew that didn;t mean much coming from him since he was a known liar. He just was shaking and coughing. He had a very high fever and was achy. There was no faking how he was feeling. He gagged trying to hope he wouldn't vomit.
He knew that was too much to hope for. His eyes closed as he was finding it hard to stay awake, Forgetting Tony was there he mumbled to himself. "No... I'm not lying Odin." Odin wasn't there he was just so feverish.

Tony narrowed his eyes, looking down at Loki suspiciously. He certainly did seem weak and ill. Tony didn't trust him, though. After all the last time they had met Loki had been trying to take over the world and had thrown him out of a window. So he had reasons to be untrusting. And it was in Loki's nature to play tricks to get his way as far as Tony was aware. But if Loki was here were was Thor? Hadn't Loki been taken up to Asgard? If so, how had he escaped? If he had. But that cough sure did sound nasty. What the hell should he do? He wasn't the best at these kind of things. Maybe he should turn him into SHIELD... no. Tony wasn't too fond of SHIELD either. Sure Loki had tried to kill them all but at least he had been honest in his motivations. SHIELD had hidden all those weapons of mass destruction and the stupid council had planned to nuke New York to get rid of the alien invasion. So he wasn't exactly on good terms with SHIELD.

"JARVIS, is he faking it?" Tony spoke quietly to just the AI, something relatively easy to do considering he had the ironman mask down.

"No, sir, he truly does seem to be ill."

Right. Well that was a relief. Sort of. And anyway, no one could fake being that ill. He couldn't even get up. And he had come to Stark Towers for some kind of help Tony guessed. Though he was an enemy of earth. He should really just leave him here. But he couldn't. Damn getting a morality. Frown across his lips Tony let the ironman mask slide up, bending next to Loki so he could get a closer look. "I believe you." He spoke quietly, quite coldly as he watched the god. He was obviously feverish. Tony didn't really believe that Loki wouldn't kill him. He wasn't necessarily here to kill him and seemed genuinely ill but Tony was sure that Loki would, in the end, try to kill him when he was able to.

"Hey, calm down, Odin isn't here," Tony's voice was almost comforting as he tried to work out what to do. Right. This was going to be interesting. He sure as hell hoped the God wasn't too heavy. "Look, Loki, I believe you and I'm not going to hurt you." Saying the words loudly and clearly Tony somehow managed to bend down further, just about scooping up the rather tall god in his arms. Well as far as plans went this was probably one of his worse. Here he was carrying an ill Loki of all people into Stark Towers. "JARVIS, open the door."

"Right away sir." Tony had to take it slowly into the Tower as he was after all carrying Loki. Who was far taller. Ah, the joys of being short. Hoping that Loki would be too ill to struggle or anything Tony carried him right up the stairs, heading into one of the guest bedrooms and gently placing Loki down on the rather nice bed. "There. So what is going on and what do you need?" Please don't be too feverish to not be able to answer.

Not going to hurt me? That was the first time he had heard Tony say that. He didn't really want to have to let Tony help him. But he was weak and had no other choice. He didn't want his stupid brother. He supposed Tony was at least better than that.
He was too weak to attack, too weak to even plot if he wanted to. His eyes just fell weakly on Tony.
The god had been in prision it was true, he hadn't escaped. Thor had made sure he had been let out because Loki had claimed he was willing to change. The thunder god had barely been able to convince Odin of that. Plus nobody knew if Loki had been lying out that.

"No going to turn me in?" He whispered weakly. The god was too sick to even use magic. He knew he didn't even have the engery to stab him or anything. His eyes were so dull. Loki just looked completly fragile and broken.
He knew Thor would be annoying when he found out. He knew his brother never left his side anytime he was ill when they were younger. These days that would probably annoy him. He stilll wasn't on the best terms with his stupid older brother.

He seems very thin, like hes already lost weight. He whimpered like when Tony picked him up. He was too weak to do anything. He just lay weakly in Tony's arms as he was lifted. He didn't have the engery . He was very sick and tired. It was clear he wouldn't have slept at all in a few days.
The god closed his eyes and tried to ingore the pain he was in. He hadn't expected Tony to want to help. He knew all humans were mostly weak and couldn't stand to leave somebody laying on the ground ill.

He sighed in relief once he hit the bed. He looked weakly at Tony. "W..Water?" he whispered. He knew that he needed to drink some, His eyes closed again. "And a bucket.... ," he knew he would vomit at some point. He didn't want to on the floor. It was degrading, He didn't need to loose his pride anymore. He was sick and had just let Tony Stark help him.
"I'm not really sure, after Thor let me out , I spent most the time in my room, but he came to check on me, The idoit ended up upsetting me so I ran off. that was few days ago, but woke one morning feeling terrible."

"Not too fond of SHIELD," Tony muttered in replied to the question of him turning Loki in. When he was a bit better, yes. He would probably turn him in. Or call Cap at least or one of the other avengers. He unfortunately did not have Thor's phone number so he couldn't come collect his brother. After all Tony didn't have any good thoughts for what would happen once Loki felt better. He trusted him about as far as he could throw him. Which was probably a reasonable distance at the moment, admittedly. But the point was that he didn't trust him. He just wasn't cruel enough to leave him out on his doorstep in the state he was. Loki was still human after all, in some way. Well not really. Tony wasn't sure what the Asgardians were.

"Water and a bucket, right, that should be easy." Tony nodded slightly. He listened to Loki's explanation with a slightly tilted head, dark brown eyes fixed on his sort of enemy cross patient. Thor let him out? What the hell... After all that Loki had done. Sure Thor probably meant well but Loki almost definitely had nefarious plans. At least that was what Tony thought. No way would Loki just decided to change and become good. Nope. Tony didn't believe it. And he really doubted many of the avengers would. But from what Loki was saying he basically had no idea what was wrong with him. Well that was brilliant. Just peachy. Well hopefully it wasn't fatal. Tony didn't want Loki dead. And in Stark towers? Thor would kill him. Good thing he was making a ton of new ironman suits. "So you don't know what it is? Great. I'll just be back." He quickly left the room to get what Loki had asked for. He took a detour to get out of his ironman suit - he doubted Loki would be killing him soon.

"JARVIS, keep surveillance on the room Loki is in and notify me of anything suspicious that goes on," Tony commanded as he headed searched about for a bucket.

"Right away, sir."

It didn't take Tony long to find one or to get a glass of water. He returned to Loki, placing the bucket beside the bed and holding the water out to him. "Water and a bucket as requested. Since you don't know what is wrong with you and can't give you much more. Would painkillers work for you? If so and you have a headache or something then maybe a couple of them wouldn't hurt. If not I guess I'll just leave you in peace to sleep." This was not easy. He really was resisting the urge to just, well, throw Loki out the window. Although he did look quite pathetic at the moment and his weakness was almost... cute? Hell no, Tony did not just think that. Lack of sleep really was getting to him. Maybe he should crash for a bit as well. But he doubted he would get much sleep. Nightmares. Tony shuddered against his will, though he quickly stilled himself and hoped Loki being ill had removed him being really aware of everything going around him. No weakness in front of whatever Loki currently was to him. Enemy, prisoner, patient? He had no idea. Okay, so sleep was probably off the table. Back to designing the ironman suits. He had to admit he may have been going just a little over the top with the amount he was making.

A little more than a little. He had just finished Mark XXXVIII, or Igor as he had named it. Okay he had made a lot since mark VII that he used in the avengers. He still hadn't managed to work out how to get the suit pieces to come to him on his mental command, though... He should do more on that. And one that could go into space for a short period of time.

"That makes two of us." Loki of course didn't trust SHIELD for his own reasons. He was feeling very wek. Though he thought SHIELD didn't have the best ways of dealing with things. Plus he had been smart enough to get past them.
Stupid fools. He thought, He curled up in the bed. The god closed his eyes. He knew Tony didn't trust him. Loki didn't really trust himself either, He knew that he had causes so much trouble in the past.
He also was sure that even if he was trying to change it wouldn't be easy.

He sipped the water when Tony passed it to him. He knew that Tony wouldn't understand why Thor let him out. He wasn't really sure Thor would have ever trusted him enough to do that. Yet it seemed he had. But Thor was rather easily fooled and stupid in Loki's opinion. He knew that Thor coudn't even tell what was an illusion sometimes. He coughed more. He knew that he would need to rest.
"I don't need any now,... but I think I just want rest," even if he didn't know what was wrong. He was too sick to want to stay awake. He fell asleep. The god was breathing deeply, He was curled up in blankets.

When he awoke he looked around the room. He was feeling dizzy. He wondered what would happen if SHIELD showed up. Tony said he didn't like SHIELD, but he also didn't trust or even like him. The god sighed. He just hoped they wouldn't come.
He groaned and held his stomach. He had known he would be feeling that sick. His body was aching. The god shivered. Loki knew he would be not in shape to even cause trouble. The god sat up holding his head.
Loki grabbed the bucket and threw up and groaned. He wondered what was wrong with him.

Tony nodded slightly. "I will leave you then," he murmured. He quickly left and headed back to his lab. Back to the blueprints. He would definitely have to inject something into himself to get it to work... He wasn't sure what at the moment. Maybe he should change to one that could stay in space for a while. That would be good. Then if he had to stop any alien invasions he would be able to definitely survive in space. Because the last time he had nearly died. He had felt his life slipping through his fingers as JARVIS shut down after going through the wyrmhole. It was quite a miracle that he was still alive, actually. It didn't take long for Tony to scratch down some designs, roughs really. This one wouldn't be too hard to make. He was in the middle of his second draft of designs when he began to nod off, slumping against his table.

First there was all of the creatures, aliens, chitauri, whatever. They were everywhere and wreaking havoc. Tony blasted them left right and centre, flying around in an attempt to get them away from civilians. There had been those massive creatures, terrible things that smashed into buildings. It had been hulk that save him. Loki was beaten to a pulp and Natasha knew how to close it, so to stop the bloodshed and the chitauri coming through. Then Fury gave Tony the news.

The nuke was closing in on New York. Tony knew what he had to do. Didn't take long to relay it to his team mates. He managed to catch up with it, get underneath it and grab it. Just a little push and the both of them where flying up and up and up. Then he wasn't on earth again. He didn't know where he was. The nuke slipped out of his grasp, moving towards the largest ship. JARVIS shut down, unable to cope in these conditions, and Tony felt the air leaving his lungs. He saw the explosion just as his eyes closed and he plummeted back to earth.

Tony woke with a gasp, breathing ragged and eyes wide. He was tense, unable to relax. Fear shot through him, along with guilt. How many had he killed that day when he had taken out the mothership? Too many, he thought. Sure they were attacking earth and it was a war. But it didn't stop Tony from feeling guilt, scared and horrified with himself. He wasn't sure he would ever got past what had happened. He had died. That much was obvious. With a groan Tony rubbed his forehead. "JARVIS, what is Loki's status?"

"He just vomited, sir."

Lovely. Just what he needed to know. But that did mean he was awake then. Time to go see if he needed anything again. Tony first made himself a bit presentable. Didn't want to appear like a man who hadn't slept in days due to PTSD caused by events the man he was just going to see had pretty much caused. Eyes slightly less bloodshot, tension out of the body, normal smirk or grin on his lips. Tony headed into the kitchen to grab another glass of water before heading to Loki's room. "JARVIS told me you were awake. Do you need anything now? Anything to alleviate pain, make the time go by. I brought more water." He sounded a bit like a bumbling idiot as he handed over the water. He wasn't doing too badly. He didn't normally talk to people soon after his nightmares.

Loki was still holding the bucket. He was pale and threw up more. "Vile stomach." he hissed. The god looked digusted a bit. He didn't like throwing up. He doubted anybody did. He was shaking, he wasn't aware that Tony walked in till he looked up.
He coughed a bit. "Yeah I'm awake, stupid stomach." He was looking pale still. "But that and I never sleep well." he was looking at Tony, he was sure he could see evidence of a restless sleep on Tony's face. But he decided to not ask.

The god doubted Tony would want to talk about it. Loki knew Tony didn't even like him. He wasn't sure he wanted to talk about all that. He groaned a bit. His head still spinning. He was drinking the water. He had been through so much as well, he had his own nightmares, but normally they were about everything he had done, he regretted it all. He had nightmares that he would be alone. He also had bad dreams that he had gone to far and killed his brother. He did really hate Thor , but he didn't want to kill his brother. He knew that he would regret it forever if he ever killed him. He had been so close to killing his brother sometimes. Thor was still his brother despite it all. Even if Thor was an idiot.
"Painkiller be great," he knew that his head was hurting him even more now. He wanted that pain to go away. Loki hoped that Thor wouldn't show up. He knew that his stupid brother was bound to be looking for him.

Sighing Loki leaned back against the pillows "Suppose my stupid brother will be looking for me," he knew deep down that Thor only worried because he cared. But he was still too angry with Thor to want to let him.
He knew he wanted somebody to care though. But he was often too angry to admit that. Loki coughed more and curled up. He needed to try and relax. He gasped weakly. Loki kept shaking, he wondered if part of him wanted his brother to find him.

Loki was looking at Tony. "Ohhh my head," He groaned. He wondered what illness he had. He hoped it wouldn't kill him. But he really didn't feel that great. The god was hoping it was one of those normal illnesses that went away in a few days.

He knew that he was always hit bad when he was ill. But he was very ill now and he was sure that he hadn't been this ill in awhile. He had heard the AI earlier. He wondered if Tont relied on JARVIS all the time. It was still rather strange to him. He didn't have such things in Asgard. He was still confused by many things in Midgard, He was glad to at least be laying in a soft bed right now. He was breathing heavily.
His black hair was all messed up, he was all sweating and he lay a hand across his forehead. He closed his eyes again. He whimpered a bit as well.

"Oh, yeah, that doesn't look good," Tony made a face, talking about... the contents of the bucket. Ugh. He would get Dum-E to clean it up when it came to that. He was sure the robot could deal with at least that. He hoped so at least. He didn't comment on Loki saying that he never slept well though it piqued his interest. Better to not pry into other's businesses. Anyway, this was Loki. He really didn't want to know. They could possibly have the same thing, nightmares, but why would Loki have nightmares? He thought everything he did was justified. Then again so did Tony and he still felt guilt about all the Chitauri deaths he cause.

"Painkillers, I'll get them right away," Tony nodded with a frown. Loki definitely wasn't in a good way, Tony knew that. He should get JARVIS to look up what to do in the case of a fever. That might help. He was sure, though, that Loki wasn't going to die. It actually sounded similar to something like the flu. Just with a bit more actual puking. But the fever, headache and cough definitely were symptoms of the flu. Then again Tony wasn't sure. If it was that it shouldn't be too long for Loki to get better. He'd just have to wait and see and have JARVIS continue to watch. To make sure Loki didn't get worse and didn't try to kill him when he got better. "And I'm sure he is..." Tony tilted his head, dark eyes watching Loki carefully. "I'll just be back in a minute." He winced slightly at Loki's exclamation of pain related to his headache and slipped out of the room. He ended up having to ask JARVIS where all the medicine was as he, quite frankly, couldn't care less most of the time. When he was ill he just moped around and felt sorry for himself with Pepper often ending up being the one taking care of him. And he never took care of anyone. Well never had before. He grabbed a packet of paracetamol, heading back.

"The recommended adult does is two pills, take however many you think will work for you," Tony handed over a sheet of the pills for Loki to pop out. After all Loki wasn't exactly human so Tony had no idea exactly how many he had to take. "They should help with the headache and lower your temperature." He glanced over Loki again, trying to discern more and remember what to do when someone was ill. This was going so incredibly well. So very well. He was very helpful. Looking thoughtful Tony headed into the en suite bathroom and returned with a damp cloth in his hand, He kind of hovered next to the bed, holding it and just looking at Loki before awkwardly holding it out. "Eh, put this on your forehead, it will help, I think." He shifted slightly. "Now, if you want anything to keep you entertained while you can't sleep... A book or something, I can do that. When you feel a bit better you can probably move to the livingroom and lie on the couch. There's more to do there." He cut himself off. No need to say any more, Loki probably just wanted to be left in peace again to lie on a nice comfortable bed and pity himself.

"Sir, Director Fury is calling."

Tony froze, glancing at Loki before he answered quickly. "Tell him that I am still sleeping."

"Of course, sir."

Loki was very pale and had a hand on his stomach. He couldn't remeber the last time he had been that sick. He just knew this would hit him hard. Feeling sick made it hard to even get any amount of decent rest. He was drinking his water slowly as he didn't want to be vomiting yet again. He could see Tony was disgusted. He knew it was horrible and was glad there was a bucket as that would make the whole sitution worse. He knew he prefered the bathroom. He just couldn't move.
Stupid weak body he thought bitterly.
He was glad Tony didn't ask why he didn't sleep. He didn't like Tony and didn't want to share that with him. He doubted Tony cared enough to want to ask.

The god nodded. He had no idea how well human medicine would work for him. He just knew the headache was bothering him. He also knew it could be dangerous for him if the fever got too high, He coughed more and grunted laying there, He knew Tony was doing what any good human would do by helping him. He knew Tony would rather not be looking after him. "Why are you doing this? I mean I know I came here, But I wasn't expecting you to help me after all I had done."
He knew he didn't even deserve help. Flu or not, He was sure he would have gotten worse being outside wandering around. LOki wondered if Tony was worried what Thor would do if he found him dead.
He knew Thor would be looking and panicking when he couldn't find him. He hoped the thunder god wouldn't come. He wasn't sure what would happen , or who Thor was with or if anybody would follow. "Stupid idoit always worries about me, Hes the one who upset me the other day in first place."

He looked at the pack of pills, He blinked. HUman medicine was so strange. He managed to get them out after a struggle. He took too and downed water after taking them, He sighed and leaned back."Ok," He didn't really know what to do. He wasn't sure what he could talk about with Tony. He felt so lost there. He didn't have friends and he didn't normally talk with Tony like this, He relaxed best he could and was thinking for awhile.
He wanted to say he was sorry for all he had done. But those words didn't want to come out of his mouth just yet. He curled up. "I like reading, a book might be a good idea." He wasn't sure if Tony had much interesting things to read.

"JUst if Thor comes... make sure hes not with anybody ......," LOki muttered. "I hope he doesn't show up."

Deep down he was beginning to feel like he needed Thor. His brother has always made him feel better when he was ill as a child. He doubted it would feel the same as it did then. So much had changed between them.
He sighed, no point admitting to Tony he needed his brother, He didn;t want to ruin to much of who he was, He coughed more. The god was looking very pale, he still had no idea why Tony was helping, Nobody ever bothered these days.

Tony was rather taken aback by Loki's question. Why was he helping him? He wasn't sure that he really knew. It was a tough question and it really shouldn't be. He should have a proper reason to be helping Loki. Just something had told him to. Everyone deserved a chance? That sounded like something someone in a romantic comedy movie would say. So not that answer. That was just stupid. Goodness of his heart? Hah, no. Heat of the moment decision, maybe? Not a reason for trying to look after Loki really. Spiting SHIELD? Probably part of it. Though if Fury found out they would be totally screwed. He did not want that to happen. Definitely not. "Truthfully? I don't know. I really shouldn't... You threw me out of a window, almost destroyed New York and killed Coulson." Not to mention almost cause Tony's death. But that wasn't all that important really. "I guess it felt like the right thing to do?" Thor would probably kill him if he found out Tony had left Loki for the dead. He didn't want that. And if Thor had allowed Loki out of his cell then maybe he had changed? Tony didn't really believe that but he would see.

Tony arched an eyebrow as Loki went on to talk about Thor worrying about him. "Of course he worries, he's your brother," Tony replied with a shrug assuming it was true. He was an only child so he didn't know. And he doubted he would have gotten on with a brother if he had one. Tony would never be able to settle for being second best. His ego wouldn't allow it. He was close to asking Loki what they had fought about, but decided against it. Loki probably wouldn't want to talk and the information wasn't exactly valuable. Gaining it wouldn't help anyone. Tony just wouldn't think about it. He didn't need any information. This was just him nursing Loki back to health then kicking him out, no strings attached. Or handing him back to Thor, or SHIELD. Former would be more likely. Tony didn't mind Thor even if they had come to blows when they first met. Thor had suddenly appeared and taken Loki, though.

He almost found it funny how Loki looked at the pills in confusion almost as if he didn't quite understand them. He probably didn't, Tony kept on forgetting he wasn't from here. It must all be a bit strange for him, all the different technology and medicine and everything. Tony was sure that if he turned up to Asgard he would be just a little confused about half the things that were there. He doubted he would ever go to Asgard, though. Probably a good thing considering how well he had gotten on with the two Asgardians he met first time. "Okay, well then I'll find something. We have a whole library... I don't really read, inventing too often, but some of the Avengers enjoy it and made me add a library in to the tower for when they stay so then can read and stuff..." He trailed off realising he was going on a bit. Loki was reducing him to rambling. Weird. "What kind of books do you read?"

Then Loki was back to Thor. Kind of weird how he kept on going back to the topic of his brother. Must be something really on his mind. If Tony had any way to communicate with Thor he probably would have by now and called him down. He would know how to look after much better... Well at least would know what Asgardians required when ill. Tony was kind of clueless, as per normal when it came to things that had nothing to do with technology. "Well, I'll try, but I doubt I would really be able to stop him. He does have that hammer of his..." Loki sure was set on telling Tony that he hoped Thor wouldn't show up. "And I wouldn't worry, Thor probably won't even consider you being here..." He watched Loki carefully for his reaction to that. "Not exactly the first place I would look."

"Well no matter what, everybody would normally leave me to suffer , Well I suppose Thor would look after me, I just never go to him these days, He would be furious had you left me, But I never deserve help. I wasn't expecting you to even want to help."
Loki said quietly. He didn't even want to get Tony in trouble with SHIELD, but he didn't mention that, LOki still hid alot of things. The god was very lonley and had tears in his eyes. He normally wouldn't cry infront of somebody like Tony.
But he was cracking a bit. He curled up. His mother was gone , he didn't know if he could mention that to Tony. But it had all but ruined him.
Everything Tony said about him was true. He deserved no kindness.

"Well... not really, I mean I am the monster adopted brother and son." The god muttered darkly. He still didn't feel like a part of the family fully anymore. "Though I suppose in ways, but he is the only one who cares, other than mother who is..." He stopped himself "Nevermind." he was crying more.
He maybe did want Thor here. He was just feeling so miserable. He wasn't sure Tony knew how to contact Thor. The god knew that sometimes he did need somebody to care about him.

"Hes annoying though never leaves my side when I am ill or hurt, It was fine when I was younger... but as I got older it got annoying, suppose point was he cares I suppose."He knew that Thor would just worry too much if he saw how ill he was. "Though seeing me now he'd overreact and worry I will die." He sighed. "Hes an idoit."LOki looked at Tony when he mentioned books "I don't know... the books are different in Asgard I think." he shrugged "Suppose anything exciting."
He really didn't know what books Tony had either. He just wanted something to do. He relaxed where he was.Glad for the medicine at least. He knew he was talking about Thor alot.

"Ah yeah...," The god replied. "But he isn't that smart." he shrugged "So suppose he won't, might be the last place he would think of, but after a few days of looking and stopping for awhile."
He curled up. "I don't need him anyway." He was lying, he did need his brother. He wasn't ready to admit such things. Like the fact his mother die and that he was sorry for everything. He just couldn't and needing his brother was weak.

"Yeah, right, sorry about that... Loki," Tony kind of stood there awkwardly staring at Loki as tears seemed to appear in his eyes. It wasn't because Tony didn't like Loki that he couldn't say anything at all comforting. It was because Tony didn't do these kinds of things. Yeah, he was pretty messed up himself. Didn't mean he could deal with other messed up people or people on the verge of tears (not that he had ever expected that). He just didn't really know what to do. He wasn't the nicest of people... Well, he wasn't good with other people. Technology, yeah. He could talk to people but emotional stuff? Nope. He did keep everything to himself anyway. Pepper would be way better in this situation. Anyone really.

"I doubt that that is true..." Tony trailed off. He wasn't really sure what to say. "Everyone messes up and makes mistakes." Loki's mistakes had been pretty big but Tony would put his dislike for the guy aside for the moment. Which he found all too easy to do for his liking. "Thor really does love you, I think. He stood by you even when you were, you know, trying to take over the world. He said something along the lines of 'Loki may be beyond reason but he is of Asgard and he is my brother' or something. Even you admit it, he cares." Tony shrugged slightly, glancing away as Loki mentioned his mother and started crying more. Well something certainly wasn't right there. He doubted Loki would appreciate him prying, really. It wasn't polite and just wouldn't be nice. It obviously affected him very badly. He could guess what it was, though. "I'm sorry." Surprisingly genuine.

"Yeah, I guess that is annoying, means you know someone cares about you though..." Tony trailed off. When he'd be ill when younger his mother had sat at his bedside as much as possible almost all of the time. Then she died and... Tony went a bad way. So did his father, in fact. And they just hadn't gotten on. Howard was too into his work, something that Tony had inherited. For a while Tony had nobody. Now he had Pepper. She was good friend. Much more than he deserved. "And yeah, I can imagine that." Tony winced slightly. Thor wouldn't be at all happy if he thought Loki was dying. "Something exciting. Right. I'll look." He thought he had an idea of something that would work. Or a few.

"Yeah, if you say so." Tony was pretty sure Loki was lying. He was talking about Thor too much. "I'll just be back... With a book or two." He nodded slightly and quickly left. Phew. That had been tough. He wasn't sure what to do when Loki started crying. Not what he had expected. He entered the small library he had been forced to create, scanning the shelves and picking out a few books. He returned after a while of searching, four books in hand. "Can't personally recommend any, but I think these are all good and gives you a choice." He placed the four on the small table beside the bed. They were Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson, Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, War of the Worlds by H.G.Wells and the Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. All classics so Loki may enjoy one. Hopefully.

Loki didn't really expect Tony to comfort him. He looked at Tony "Its fine...," He didn't really know what to do or say , Talking about his troubles with a man he didn't like was just too hard, He wanted to get those feelings out, But he just couldn't really as easily around somebody he didn't like or trust.
His eyes were dull looking. The god really was terribly ill, he curled up, his body was aching. He always felt cut off and that he had nobody to talk to. He moaned and curled up tighter.
He was just glad to be laying in a bed.

"Yeah... but those aren't what I'd call mistakes... killing people and trying to rule the world? Those are far worse than mistakes." Loki said quietly. "Plus I am a frost giant... I'll never get away from that and they are monsters." He knew even if he regretted his actions that they were too bad to be mistakes, Loki felt terrible about what he had done. He was very troubled. Tears continued to fall down his face.
He knew Thor cared. He was glad he did, even if it got annoying at times. Loki couldn't admit how much he really needed his brother. He closed his eyes trying to relax. "We were closer as kids, but after finding out the truth its ruined that."

Really Loki was bored and just talking so he didn't get too bored. He knew that Tony couldn't help with any of this. Loki really did seem weaker and more vunerable. He wasn't sure if Tony would believe his lie when he mentioned his idoit brother too much.
"Stupid idoit used to get himself sick from hanging around me like that too, even if told him so many times, he said he never cared, But hes not one to like laying around he gets bored too quick. Hurt his back once and he was bored after 5mins of having to stay in bed. " He smirked a bit. He was amused by some of his brother behaviour at times.

He curled up when Tony went to get a book or books. He closed his eyes trying to relax. "Thor... I need you." He was unaware that Tony had walked back into the room and had heard that. He had more tears falling down his face.
It seemed he would always be Thor's little brother.
The god looked up when he hears Tony's voice. He knew that maybe a book would take his mind off everything. His mother had made sure he had enough books to read in prision, well before she was killed. Loki felt so broken and lost.

"Ohh I see," He knew none of those books but would try anyway. He hoped it would prevent some boredom. He was more quiet about his boredom then his brother would be, He knew Thor got bored in bed even easier than he did.
He stretched and picked up on of the books and looked at the back and cover. He knew he would probably read later when Tony left him alone. He stretched and leaned back in his bed.

Tony didn't have anything to say, so he decided just not to say anything for a few moments. He had heard Loki saying that he needed Thor, but didn't comment. This information wasn't actually a surprise. Loki had been talking about him far too much. The story about him hurting his back was rather entertaining. Tony watched Loki for a few moments, brain whirring as he worked stuff out. What was he going to do? Well, find Thor. How? He wasn't sure yet. He could work it out. He was a genius. This shouldn't be too hard. Build some kind of communication device or something. Yeah. Because that was just a brilliant plan. Amazingly brilliant. "Eh... I'm sorry, I'm not good at this," he murmured, running a hand through his dark brown hair. "But, if it helps, I don't think your a monster... Even if you are a frost giant." It was kinda true. He barely knew Loki. Sure, Loki had tried to conquered the earth and a lot of blood was on his hands. But... It wasn't much worse than Tony, in a way. And anyway Loki hadn't exactly seemed sane. "But I doubt it helps, coming from me." He sighed.

Right. Here goes nothing. Why he was doing this he didn't know. He had suddenly been overcome with some kind of sympathy. Loki just... he looked so weak and broken. Tony recognised it. Similar to when he lost him mum, when so many bad things happened in his life. He knew he shouldn't feel sympathetic for Loki of all people. But he did . He should. But he did. Just for now, while Loki was in his house and ill. After that they would part ways. But it wouldn't be so bad to talk to Loki, would it? Wasn't like he was going to tell him stuff nobody else knew. "You might have heard, but my company used to manufacture weapons. I basically designed a missile to blow up people, then designed an even better one. These weapons were meant to be used against the terrorists. Turns out they had been being delivered to the very people they were meant to be stopping. My weapons, things of my creation, inadvertently caused many deaths. So, yeah, I've got blood on my hands to." He grimaced, memories of his kidnapping returning to him. Those had been dark days. He still remembered the man who had saved him... Died doing so. At least he was with his family now, wherever he was. "I'm sorry, I just thought you should know. I mean I know the worse thing you've done, I guess. But yeah. I used to be so proud and full of myself." Okay, he still was. But not quite as much.

"Anyway, I'll leave you in peace if you want." Tony began to move towards the door. "My company isn't all that great while I'm sober and I doubt it will help with your recovery." He kind of hovered at the door, watching Loki carefully. Damn, this was still not going well. Going from just awkwardly talking to Loki to spilling everything. Not his darkest secrets, those would never leave his mouth in the company of Loki... Well, he was pretty sure they wouldn't. But it had been kind of weird. He had thought like he should tell Loki to make him feel better. Tony was so confused at the moment and the source of the confusion was Loki.

That was why the faster he found Thor the better. Thor could deal with Loki. Thor knew what to do. Thor was Loki's brother. He thought he had an idea of how to communicate with Thor... Yes, he was pretty sure he did. He would have to be careful about it and not give much away. Damn, he needed something to drink. But that wouldn't be a good idea. He was beginning to realise this was why he normally didn't look after people who were ill. He just wasn't good at it. He was too busy thinking that he didn't realise that he was still standing at the door.

"Odin raised me.. to believe frost giants were monsters,,, and all this time never telling me I was one." Loki curled up. He still refused to conside Odin a father anymore. He wasn't sure how he was supposed to feel about all that.
He wasn't sure what would help. He felt so horrible about himself. When he had been arrested and taken back to Asgard the Asgardians had said nasty things about him and even some had wanted him arrested.
Even as a child people had been cruel to him. The god had no friends. He felt so alone. The god was sure he hadn't deserved to be bullied as a kid. He had done nothing wrong then and only wanted to fit in. But he knew now why he would never fit in.

"I never fitted in as a child. People were cruel to me then and cruel to me now and still Thor stands up for me." He shaked his head. The god didn't understand why Thor would stand by him after all of that. He shivered a bit. He had been sure without Thor things could have been a whole lot worse. He listened to what Tony had to say. He knew some of that, But difference was people seemed to not hate Tony. At least that was how Loki saw it.
"I see, Though I don't see people hating you forever for it, The Avengers seem like your friends even if you are sometimes annoying to them it looks like. I know Thor thinks your an alright guy. He does refer to you as a friend. Sometimes I get tired of hearing him talk about how amazing all you guys are." He makes a face, "I know he enjoys fighting alongside you and the others."

"Its fine Tony..., I need to talk to somebody to stop me feeling like I don't exist....," Loki had been feeling that way last few days since nobody talked to him or went up to him. He coughed badly and curled up. "My mother was killed." He said. He wasn't sure why he was telling Tony this now. "I somehow feel like its my fault. Because If I wasn't locked up. Another reason Thor let me out." He coughed more.
The god curled up, his body was shaking badly. Loki knew once he was better, that he wouldn't be wanted around, He though didn't care if Tony turned him in or not. He groaned and curled up.

"I deserve to be this miserable....," LOki sighed and coughed more. It seemed he was coughing more than earlier. It was making him quite tired as well. He shivered more and sighed.

Tony was pulled out of his thoughts by Loki talking. "That's horrible. My father ignored me but..." He trailed off. No wonder Loki was so, well, messed up could be a way of putting it. He had basically been raised being told about a race being a monster only to found out that he was one. That was really not okay. Tony was finding that he disliked Odin. He shouldn't pass judgement, though, he didn't know much about him. Didn't sound like a good father though. Not at all. He made a light face at what Loki said next. Truthfully he couldn't imagine Loki as an innocent child but he must have been one once... "Just cause you didn't fit in?" He snorted. "Sounds like high school bullying, but worse. At least Thor does stand up for you..." He smiled ever so slightly. Thor obviously cared for Loki, which was good he guessed. It seemed mutual.

"That is true... I'm not generally hated." Thankfully. He knew he had many enemies and many people who didn't like him, but most were okay with him existing. Didn't neccesarily like him. And he did get on with the Avengers very well, strangely. Even if they were all completely different and most didn't approve of certain aspects of Tony's personality. Not many did. "And I guess I do have the Avengers. And I'm sorry if your brother talks about my awesomeness all the time, he must have been awestruck after I shot at him a few times." Tony tried to joke, but it was rather lame and half assed. Damn. Normally he was so good at making everything into a joke. Head slightly tilted, Tony walked back over to stand beside the bed.

"Well you obviously do exist, that is for sure," Tony looked down at him. "If you didn't I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be puking and coughing everywhere." Another attempt at a joke. He was trying to get back to his usual self. Lighten the mood. Yeah. That was going to work. "Your mother? I'm so, so sorry Loki... That is terrible." Tony blinked, tears threatening to cloud his gaze. Nope. Not happening. Not thinking about his past. "And I doubt that it is your fault... There was nothing you could do. It isn't your fault." Well it was Loki's fault that he was locked up but his mothers death probably wasn't his. Loki had obviously been close to his mother, and looked like he was in pain over that. Tony leaned over and awkwardly patted the god on the back. "I'm sorry."

"And I don't know..." Tony frowned. "Now that I'm talking to you you don't seem half bad. There is always a way to gain, well, redemption I guess. Make up for what you did. Nobody deserves to be miserable. Well, I'm sure that is what some optimist would say." Tony shrugged. "But don't worry, Lokes, I'll help you get better and then you can go and... Feel better?" Great advice. Oh shit. He did not just call Loki Lokes. Nope. No no no. What was he doing? "As you've probably guessed, I'm not good at... Talking to people like this. I'm crap at it actually. So yeah, that is why all of what I say is stupid."

"Thor has had his fallings out with his father, but nothing as bad me I guess, I started to feel like I wasn't as loved and Thor got most of Odin's time, I know he was preparing him to be king, But I felt like I would never have a chance and now I know why," the last couple of words were bitter. He really didn't think things would ever be ok with him and Odin. He was so angry at him.
The god knew he would always be different. He doubted that would ever change, despite all the bad things he had done. He hoped people would just move on and forget about it, but he didn't think it was that simple.
"Well yeah I was always the loner and different and really quiet, I always felt left out among Thor's friends growing up. They were all warriors and doubt they even liked me then." He mumbled.

"I was always the clever one and skilled with magic, I learnt from mother, Not that anybody ever thought I could be a warrior and fight with weapons and strength, No like Thor." He felt so different and useless. He managed to laugh at Tony's attempt at a joke. "Well I don't know about you being that awesome. " he was smirking. He was trying to tease Tony. "I did manage to throw you out a window."
The god was a bit amused. He coughed again. It had managed to cheer him up a bit. Loki knew that he enjoyed teasing and joking around when he was in the mood for it. He curled up again as he coughed badly.

"Yeah I miss her, I was a bit cruel to her as well, but I was close with her, I never wanted to admit that," The god sighed, He looked at Tony, He wondered what it would be like if he had met Tony under different cirumstances.
The god looked very tired, He was breathing heavily. "I don't? Well ........ Thanks, But even if I regret what I did and I want to chance, I don't think I can see myself in a postive way," He knew sometimes he was so miserable that he couldn't see the good points.
His chest was aching and he groaned again. The god thought of what he would do without help. He knew he would be more likely to die than if anything was seriously wrong.

The god just weakly takes the bucket and throws up again. He was feeling miserable and wished his stomach would settle down. He was sure at this moment that it never would. He gagged and just looked paler. "I'm getting tired of this, "
He had hoped his stomach was too empty before. He looked pained as he kept gagging and coughing. He was finding it rather hard to calm down. He knew his mother used to be able to calm him down when he was feeling this sick.
Loki coughed more, He tried to breath deeply and hoped the sick feeling would ease down. He hadn't been this sick in awhile. His body was very shaky, He was sure if he was standing upright that he would collaspe. Loki knew he didn't like people seeing him this sick, but he had no choice as he needed help. The god had a hand to his mouth and closed his eyes, He was clearly suffering and feeling rather miserable right now.

"He doesn't sound like he was a very good father," Tony pointed out, knowing it was obvious but saying it anyway. "And I'm sorry that that happened to you. Everyone deserves to have friends growing up... It won't help, but I was always different as well growing up. Never had any friends." He had always been too smart. There was the fact he had gone to MIT at 15, graduating with two masters at 19. Most people had only been in university for a year at that age. He had always been the young smart one who put too much of himself into his work. He had been surprised he'd even gotten through MIT, though, considering his drug problems at the time. He had gotten over them, though. Thankfully. Alcohol? Not so much. He had always drunk just a bit too much. It helped.

"Hey, I'd like to see you try again!" Tony smirked, folding his arms. Okay, he really didn't. That had been another near death experience. Thankfully JARVIS had gotten the Iron Man suit to him just in time. "I doubt you'll even be able to get near me, I'm too awesome." He laughed slightly, a small but genuine laugh. Loki wasn't too bad company. Surprisingly. Tony could see that he was in mental pain, obviously, and had always been second best to Thor. That must have been tough. But he wasn't too bad a guy. Tony could see his virtues, rather than just concentrating on the fact that he had tired to take over earth. And Tony was sure there was more behind that too.

Tony smiled ever so slightly, and nodded. "I understand... But I am sure you have many good memories of time spent with her? Those are always the best things to think about." He watched Loki carefully, noticing how tired he looked. Tony was sure he was getting worse, not better. That really wasn't good. It really made him feel like wasn't doing a good job at all with helping Loki get better. "No you don't..." If things had been different Tony was sure they would have been... Friends? Possibly. Tony was beginning to see him in a different light, but Tony wasn't sure how much of the nicer Loki was just him being ill. Stripping back all his outer, protective mental walls or something. He didn't know what would happen when he got better. "Sometimes changing how we see ourselves is the hardest, yeah? But that doesn't mean you shouldn't try... And that you shouldn't try to make up to other people." He shrugged. He wasn't sure and wasn't really one to talk. Sure, he seemed confident, but there were days when Tony hated himself all too much.

Looking away as Loki vomited again, Tony grimaced. "That doesn't sound nice..." That must have been the third time that Loki had thrown up? Maybe more. Certainly not a good sign. Hopefully it was just his body getting rid of all of the nasty stuff inside it and hopefully his stomach would settle down. "JARVIS, find out some good ways to stop vomiting."

"Right away, sir." Tony waited for whatever JARVIS managed to find through the internet and various sources he could get to, watching Loki with a sort of worried expression.

"It is recommended that small amounts of clear liquids are drank frequently. Ginger is also said very good for settling stomachs and reducing nausea. We have fresh ginger in the kitchen and I have found instructions for making ginger tea."

"How does that sound, Lokes?" Damn, he did it again. Ah well. "I can try and make you some ginger tea if you want... Only if you want, though. But it is worth a try, right?" Not that Tony had any tea making skills whatsoever. So whatever he managed to make might come out truly horrible. It would have been easier if they had ginger teabags or something... But not many of the people who stayed in the tower drank tea.
