[IC] Fractions: A New Age

The aching pain on her body began to fade away only moments after the entire incident, the room fell silent except for the oozing metal dripping on to the concrete where everything had been charred and burned. Her body relaxed in his arms but she knew not to close her eyes, she knew that if she did she may not wake up for as weak as her body was or simply the flames would awaken when she was asleep and could be a whole other incident to be dealt with. Once her face was healed she let herself lay against him, only closing her eyes for brief moments before opening them and focusing on a object in the room. "I just want to sleep.." Her eyes were becoming heavy and she fought so hard to keep them open.

"Not yet, Nyx, Not yet." Alex said, passing her some of his own energy. He knew it wasn't enough to keep her awake for long, but hopefully it would keep her to normal sleep. "You can rest soon though." Standing up, he turned to Ryan. "I'm sorry about this. I wish nobody had been around when it happened." He held up his hand and gathered water, holding it out towards Ryan. "Let me heal you. Nobody who was only helping deserves those scars." He pushed the water forward towards the boy's wounds. As they touched, they soothed and began to sink into the burns, healing them. Once he was alright, Alex turned back to Nyx. "Let's go," he said, holding out his hand.

She fought with his motivation not to fall asleep, the flash of energy absorbed to quickly giving her only moments of strength. When he released her to cure the boy she struggled to keep herself standing. When she reached for his hand, her knees buckled and gravity pulled her down. The frustration took over and she felt herself tear up. "I can't walk." She whimpered as she tried to pull herself off the ground.

Alex bent down and scooped her legs up with his free arm, carrying her. "Then let me be your legs." He smiled at her, then nodded at Ryan and walked out the door. He wouldn't admit it, but the reason he didn't just teleport was because he was running low on energy, so instead he said "Let's go the long way, that way I get to carry you farther."

She smiled weakly at him, the violet and sapphire hue returned to her eyes yet they were dim. She kept trying not to close her eyes but her body so badly wanted to give in, Alex's warmth didn't help the matter as well plus she felt safe and... she closed her eyes, blackness swarmed her in a comforting way but she opened them quickly, almost flinching out of his arms. "You have to take me outside." She said, sure of what she needed to do. She looked up at him with confidence. "I have to regenerate somehow, it is going to be painful but it will help my novas." She felt guilty for the last word, that's exactly what it was, she had caused an eruption on numerous levels and that was only minor. She shuddered, she could destroy worlds.

Alex nodded, changing direction. He made his way to the rooftop door he knew was still open and pushed his way outside. Overhead the stars shown down, And he found a flat area. "I don't really know what's going to happen here," he admitted. "Do I have to give you space, or can I keep holding you like this?"

She reached up and caressed his cheek and smiled up at him lovingly. "If it was up to me, I'd let you hold me like this forever." She dropped her head and frowned. "But you have to let go, and lay me here." She gave him another smile before she was left on the ground and stared up at the night sky, she wanted to shoot herself up there in to the bosom of the universe and become a fiend to it's freedom. She looked to her side, waiting for Alexander to be far enough for her to continue.

She looked back up, closing her eyes she took a deep cleansing breath, she pulled a small blade from her pocket and sliced a slit on the side of hre neck, super thin before opening her eyes again. Her left hand reached up to the sky, her largest vein through her arm lightened as it went from her chest to the palm of her hand. A shimmering figure no larger than a foot ball glimmered in to her palm before her hand fell limp to her lifeless body, within a few seconds her soul was shot up higher in the sky where a glimmering light met with the shimmering globe, a bright flash of light struck the entire sky as they connected, only lasting for half a second before the stars were noticed again and the sky becomes calm. the soul lingered down until it found the open slit on the side of the body's neck and entered back inside of it's tomb.

Nyx opened her eyes again.

As soon as Nyx's eyes opened again Alex had her in his arms. "You almost gave me a heart attack," He said, holding her to his chest. "I thought you were leaving me again." He folded her in his arms again and picked her up. "Even if you can walk again I'm gonna carry you. You'll just have to put up with feeling like a princess." He kissed her and grinned. "Any objections, your highness?"

Her body was still frail, but her overall feeling was much better than it had been the last couple of days. Once her eyes opened, she was scooped in to his arms and held close to him which was a welcome she'd return to any day. She kissed him back and smiled as she was picked up in to his arms. "I always did think you'd be my Knight in shining armor." She laughed weakly with a small wince, her body still getting used to functioning. "I think I'd like some ice cream now." She whispered as she laid her head against his chest and closed her eyes.

Alex grinned, carrying her back through the door. "You always want ice cream. I'll bring you some once you're settled in, alright?" He turned down the corridor towards his room. Once he had her safely in the bed, he grinned at her. "It's a good thing I'm not someone who would take advantage of your weakness isn't it?" He asked, then reached out and tickled her. "Maybe just a little." Laughing, he went over to the door. "I'll be right back with that ice cream."

She smiled and let herself rest against him as he walked towards his room. Maybe she didn't need anyone else, but at the same time she needed to get out of the bubbly of isolation and actually make new friends. She mentally sighed, like Nessie. But there was something about her that she felt to be off, as if there was something far deeper between the two but she brushed it off her shoulder. She had done enough thinking for the last couple of days. When he placed her in the bed she blinked up at him and his teasing, then blushed at the thought of what if but her face grew normal by the time he turned to look at her before leaving. She smiled back and yawned, excited to see what he brings her yet his absence already made her lonely. She climbed out of the bed and wobbled to his dresser to find herself one of his sweaters. She peeled the suit off of her and tucked the panties between the folds, they would need to be cleaned as well and set it on the couch and slipped herself in to the sweater before climbing back in to the bed, covering herself up with the blankets while the lights were dimmed. She looked up and noticed a crease on the ceiling above the bed, she cocked her head and curious enough stood on top of the bed and touched the line with her fingers, she slid her nail in and pushed one of the sides opening it up to a large window, her mouth opened up as she stared before climbing back in to bed completely satisfied.

A few minutes later Alex came back, a bowl in his hands. "Here you go, princess, one bowl of ice cream." He put it down on the nightstand and sat down on the bed, yawning. "Today was busy." He said, flopping down on his side. He rolled over so he was facing Nyx and smiled. "Maybe tomorrow will be easier?" He reached up to pet her hair, and leaned in for a kiss. "Hopefully." He closed his eyes and started drifting off to sleep.

She became more interested in laying with him then the bowl of ice cream, unaware of how much time she had before he was ready to fall asleep. Before his head could hit the pillow she wiggled herself to sleep under his chin and wrapped herself around him until she was warm enough to fall asleep. The night felt shorter than it was, the sun waking her up once more to a bright day, her schedule was all messed up, she was a night person and being awake in the day just didn't feel right. She stretched and yawned before climbing back to his chest and laying her head down face first, waiting for him to wake up. "Aleeexxx." She hummed.

Alex grumbled and tried to roll over, but the weight on his chest stopped him. Opening his eyes and looking up through the skylight, he held onto Nyx and rolled onto his side. "Go away sun." He mumbled, curling himself into a ball around Nyx. "I don't want to get up yet."

She poked her head up feeling him stir underneath her, before she squealed being turn to the side as he curled himself around her which only made her laugh. She got her hand loose to rough his hair and poke his face all over. "Cmon sleepy head." She poked his nose over and over again before leaning in to place a soft kiss on his lips shyly, the first time she kissed him and as soon as she did it, her face grew pink as she tried to hide it by hiding her face in to the covers.

She poked her head up feeling him stir underneath her, before she squealed being turn to the side as he curled himself around her which only made her laugh. She got her hand loose to rough his hair and poke his face all over. "Cmon sleepy head." She poked his nose over and over again before leaning in to place a soft kiss on his lips shyly, the first time she kissed him and as soon as she did it, her face grew pink as she tried to hide it by hiding her face in to the covers.

Alex opened his eyes, fully awake now. He lifted his arm, pulling the covers away from Nyx's bright pink face. "Good morning, Sparkles." He said, leaning over her and giving her a long kiss. After he pulled away he sat up and stretched, getting his bearings in the world again. A quick look over his network told him nothing was wrong, so he decided to take it slow this morning. "Anything pressing you need to do?" He asked, settling back down.

She blushed again after the lingering kiss, wishing they could lay in bed all day but soon his arms released her and she watched him stretch. She lazily pulled herself out of the bed to stretch once more and stopped when he asked her if she needed to do. She looked down at herself, she had dry blood some places along with dust from the burning room last night. "I think I should take a shower." She shrugged wondering what the room looked like now.

"Hmmm," Alex said, "Alright. I'll be here when you're done." He moved around so he could hug her around the middle. "That is, unless you want me to come with you." He teased, squeezing her stomach lightly.

She covered her face to hide herself from feeling flustered once more. She jumped and ran to the bathroom while laughing nervously before she got in to the bathroom her face as red as a tomato. She took a quick shower and walked out in her towel forgetting the suit. "Uh could you make me.. another pair." She pointed down sheepishly.
