[OOC] Fractions: A New Age

Nexus has broken out in war with Sethos and every city has been destroyed leaving everyone in poverty, working long hours to make little money for families. Yet, young adults have been disappearing for months and no one figured out until an announcement had been made for all 'Defects' to be transferred in to a different fraction, but that fraction was extermination so now all 'Defects' are to be sent by their families to the only place they know they'll be safe.

Fledging - Single symbol in the middle of forehead, the color of your element - 'Deffects' start out with one color, once they become a Elemental, their tattoo changes to both colors.

Elemental - Your body will Change once it can fully handle the ability of the use of elements, once Changed the body becomes more mature and your simple tattoo spreads throughout your body from head to toe.

Fractions – Also known as ‘Defects’ are Fledgings/Elementals that possesses the ability to manipulate more than one element. On a normal basis a Fraction has two elements to where they can manipulate them with advance capabilities.



Each fledging has an outline of a symbol on their forehead that glows the color of their element, before the have reached Elemental stage, their symbol is covered in and then ratifies down the sides of their face in unique patterns. Defects usually have one color until they are Elementals when their tattoo changes to multiples colors down their face, shoulders, back, waist and arms.

Nuxvar:
North Living Quarters Housing, dining, lounges
All fledglings male and female will be living under the same roof, this is where the fledglings are able to relax without being under the eye of Elementals, they believe in privacy an as much freedom as they can give you.
West Intelligence Schooling, Library, Study Halls
All Elementals resign to the West building once classes and combat is over.
South Survival Combat, Survival, Team Strategies
This is where you will compete with and against other fledglings to find your rank as a Fraction.
East Unknown Forbidden
They all say the place is under construction but it is easy to tell something else is going on, but death is the consequence if entered.
Dorm Rules
Rule 1 - Respect the times others are sleeping.
Rule 2 - Keep a healthy sleep routine
Rule 3 - The Dormitories have no strict rules on genders, but keep male and female rooms separate, therefore allowing genders to be in the same dorm area, but in different rooms. We took this approach, so you can mingle a lot easier.
Rule 4 - wake up at 4 AM each thursday, no questions asked.
Rule 5 - Your dorms are chosen every year, who ever is there first gets the best dorm room, simple enough.
The first student inside a dorm is the owner of the room, and decides who is in the dorm with him.

Nuxvar is a last resort for family's Fractions where they are taken from the outside world and kept safe. You're not allowed to leave, or have contact with your family. Secretly you are being trained to become the prime army of assassins to take down both Sethos and Nexus which means you may be destroying your family and everyone you knew in order to create peace among the Elements. For now you live a normal life as a teenager in Nuxvar while they train you in the elements you are capable of manipulating. Until you complete the change in to an Elemental, your life is under the roof and authority of Nuxvar.

*Background: Back home, her parents mostly ignored Caroline, leaving her be raised by her older brother. He taught her to protect herself, knowing that he wouldn't always be around. Thanks to him, Caroline grew up strong and happy despite the negligence of their parents. When the call came to round up the defects, her parents tried to hand her over to earn some small favor. Her brother was the one who protected her, shoving them back and carrying her out. When they got to the border, there was an armed squad waiting for them. Her brother fought against them while she ran, holding them back long enough for her to escape.

*Personality: Caroline is kind, but stubborn. When she sets her mind on a task, she'll try to see it through to the end even at the risk of her life. She's loyal and strong, a good friend to have by your side, but sometimes a darkness can be seen flickering in her eyes.

Style: Thanks to her brother's training, Caroline is strong and agile. She incorporates as much of that training as she can into her combat style, creating weapons out of ice and stone. Even so, she is clever enough to include some non-weapon tactics.

Background: Cassie had a pretty normal life back home. Her family barely scraped by in terms of money and food, but they were happy. Her two younger brothers were always play fighting and when Cassie intervened they would turn on her and they all had great fun. One day Cassie’s uncle was hammering on the door yelling his sister’s name (Cassie’s mother’s name) and three children were sent upstairs but they could hear occasional phrases as voices were raised between the three adults. The next morning Cassie had to say goodbye to her family as it had been decided it was no longer safe for her to stay at home. She travelled with her uncle to Nuxvar and he left her there, promising he would look after her brothers for her.

Personality: Cassandra is loving and loyal- she would do anything to protect those she loves. She has a fiery temper however, and sometimes it gets her into trouble.

*Background:John and his family were pretty rich back in Elpis. The destruction of the cities didn't hit them as hard as the rest of the citizens but it wasn't kind either. Most of the house staff was turned away and food became a bit scarcer. When Defects started being called in, he was terrified. His parents told him to lay low but when Nuxvar opened he was shipped away. He was glad that the fear was over but sad to leave his brother and twin Roger behind.

*Personality:John is smart, funny and loyal but can sometimes be seen as a tad pessimistic. He's a bit arrogant but only because he knows his abilities. He'd do anything for the people he loves and cares about.

*Background:

Celia is very shy and kind though she is so shy to the point where she can't really talk in front of other people. Having not socialized with anyone Celia has no knowledge on how to relate to others and so she hardly ever knows what to say or how to act. She tends to blurt a lot of things out without realizing it or thinking about her words. She also gets embarrassed and flustered way too easily; often blushing and hiding her face. Being as innocent as she is to the world, she trusts way too easily and is oblivious about a lot of stuff, especially when it comes to flirting/love or basically any interest thrown her way. She can be very insecure about herself and her body and she tends to second-guess herself a lot. Celia can become upset very easily and is very sensitive; also being very clumsy and tends to trip over her own feet a lot. Despite all of this however. Celia loves helping people and will do everything she can to make them smile. She looks at the brighter aspects in life and tries not to dwell on negative thoughts. Celia has a habit of thinking out-loud. Celia also puts others needs before her own and in most cases she reacts without thinking of her own well-being: if someone is being hurt, Celia will immediately try and protect them with any means possible without even considering herself. She is very, very selfless. Celia can be very curious and is very easily captivated and awed by even the simplest of objects and things. She is very much like a child in a way.

Growing up in a poor family, Ryan didn’t have much to begin with. He didn’t mind though. Ryan was content playing in the dirt and usually came home covered in mud. It seemed that he did not care that there seemed to be less food on the table with each passing day. But soon the situation became critical. Being the youngest sibling, he was kicked out in order to provide food for the two older siblings, who had jobs and need strength to provide for the family. He was put in an orphanage, and was found to be a “defect”, so he was sent to Nuxvar.

He likes to joke around a lot. Is prone to making highly sarcastic comments from time to time. He’s willing to do work, but not an extreme amount of it.. He's extremely calm and mellow for the most part.
