The Third Adventure Of The Shadow Pokemon Saga Is About To Begin!

CLOSED! No longer accepting!

OOC, Officially Closed!

12 years have passed since the events of Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, where Michael stopped Greevil and his organization, Cipher. When Greevil was sent to prison, Eldes and Ardos had managed to avoid being arrested, and though they needed to stay low, they dared to both challenge Michael in the Orre Colosseum. Both were defeated, and left a message for him after their losses. Ardos declared Michael to be Cipher's biggest enemy, and that the organization would be watching him for the rest of his days. Eldes wasn't as hostile, and simply told the boy that they were rivals and that he hoped they would meet again one day for another battle, under better circumstances. After they took their leave, Michael had proven himself to be the strongest trainer in Orre, and returned to the Pokemon HQ Lab to study Pokemon, and knowing Ardos wasn't one to toy with... Ways to prevent Ardos' plans to bring back Cipher by making the purification process easier.

As Michael was told, he was watched for all of these years. They were close to him, perhaps an assumed best friend, or somebody working in the lab. Or maybe Cipher had better technology than Michael could of ever realized. His studies never advanced much, and though it was a failure somewhat, he became very knowledgeable about the Pokemon in the region. Now at the age of 24, Michael is Orre's Pokemon Professor, and at the same time, technically the champion as well. Though he has a firm belief there are trainers who are stronger than him lurking about nowadays, people still respect him as a hero.

Recently, reports of overly violent Pokemon have come up. Compared to the usual strength of the species, they show immense strength and endurance. Some able to knock holes into walls made of stone, others showing amazing acrobatics and agility. Some pokemon have even began attacking themselves suddenly without confusion being inflicting on them. What is currently happening is a mystery to most, but to those who know, they know a crisis is about to bring itself upon Orre. And somebody has to stop it.

You are one of Orre's youth: A trainer that doesn't really matter much in the big picture of things, but a trainer, none the less. A tour of the Pokemon HQ Lab is started as a way to attract those who are curious, and you end up being brought to the first ever tour. Some might be curious about what goes on inside the lab, others may want to meet the Hero and Champion of Orre, Michael. Some might of not even wanted to come, but were forced into it. This above average day may turn into the event of a lifetime for these trainers. A journey of friendship, heroism, and dark secrets await. Will you embark on this journey?
More details will come in the OOC, for now I'm searching for people who are interested. I'm looking for about 3-4 players, that can post at least once or twice a week. I'd love to see more than that, but I don't mind taking the RP a little slow if I can find a few dedicated people, and it probably won't go at too fast of a pace anyhow, considering I have a job that likes to take up a lot of my time. >:c

I'll just leave a few rules below, and hope to see some interest! Feel free to ask any questions below, I'll answer them when I can.

-What I Ask Of Roleplayers-

1. For you to stick to Casual rules.

2. Decent grammar. I make mistakes, I don't expect anybody to be perfect. As long as I can understand your posts we should be alright. :)

3. Keep down the swears. Occasional ones in situations are okay, but please try to not go overboard.

4. For you to be honest with me when you get bored, instead of just ditching without a word. It's understandable if you don't want to continue, but not when you just disappear. Just a small comment, anything, would be great.

5. If you read these rules, post the name of your favorite starter Pokemon in your post expressing interest. c:

6. Try to be a little creative with battles, make then interesting and entertaining to read. We all get in some tough situations sometimes, everything shouldn't be an easy task for these trainers.

7. The obvious stuff, such as no auto-hitting against another player, and no godmodding.

Hmmm. Interested.

Favorite Pokemon: Makuhita.

Quick question though, Which generations will be included this? Just the generations that appeared in Colosseum and XD or some of the more recent ones? I'm not too familiar with the newer generations to be honest.

Oooo, that's one of my favorite fighting types.

I will be including all generations, (Fairy-Types as well.) The reason behind it is mostly because of the rarity of catching wild Pokemon in Orre. It's so trainers along the way in the RP can have diverse teams with Shadow Pokemon for the players to catch.

Anything you need to know about the Pokemon of recent generations can easily be found out by taking a quick glance at the lovely place known as Bulbapedia. Just search for a Pokemon's name, and you'll have all the information you could ever ask for. :)

Or you can simply ask me, I'm familiar with pretty much all of the generations. (I haven't played X&Y, But I know of the Pokemon. :p)

Hmm, I think I could manage this. Count me in. Blah blah Turtwig.

How will our characters be starting out? Green rookie trainers with a couple little Pokes to their name or 'don't even have a Pokemon yet' newbies?

Also, I had the brief idea of one of the characters being able to see Shadow Pokemon like the heroine of Colosseum, but I'm not sure if that could be used to be interesting or not. Twas but a thought.

The characters ought to not be too experienced, probably with a few Pokemon with levels ranging from 5-11, somewhere in that area? Of course, starting out with obtaining your first Pokemon from the lab would also be acceptable, it'd be a valid reason for taking the tour, too.

Though the technology exists to see Shadow Aura, I would be fine with having a character that could see it naturally like Rui did in Colosseum. Could be pretty interesting, I say go for it if you wanna! I've never touched the subject of being able to see Shadow Aura like that, so it'd be interesting to see someone else's thoughts and explanation of it in an RP.

Is there any chance in the Rp we'll find out what happened to the protagonist from Colosseum and Rui? It's always bugged me, not knowing what happened to them.

Many people assume Wes (Leo in the Manga Adaption) Is the father of Michael, the Gale of Darkness protagonist. Personally I have mixed feelings about this, giving that I like WesxRui, and Michael's mother in XD (Named Lily) Is obviously not Rui, giving they have different eye-colors and other differences.

I do have my own headcanon that I'll be using for this that I consider more likely, but I won't say anything on it because I don't want to let that out until later. But yes, I do plan on stating what happened to both Wes and Rui in this RP, due to my fascination with Orre, and the many hours I've spent thinking about a sequel to Gale of Darkness. xDD

Hmm, thinking about my character, I think I might actually take the 'can see Shadow Pokes' route, I think I came up with an actual backstory that might work. Should be neat.

Waiting for a bit more interest for the OOC, I presume?

Did somebody say OOC?

I always have the OOC ready before an interest check, so I can put it up and not halt my players. <3

Sneaky!

What's the age range you're looking at? I sorta guessed 10-13ish, where my character will probably be, which is pretty normal for trainers.

Eh, 10-15 seems about right. I should actually add that age range to the CS real quick. Thank you for mentioning that.
