He's right, you know. Aikido is all about countering and using your opponent's weight and movements against them. It's a fantastic style to use against grapples, fairly potent against striking, and generally a style used purely for defense. Don't get me wrong, martial arts in general are about "self defense"... but Aikido is ALL about the defense and not so much the "beat someone's ass before they hurt you" things that other hard-striking styles often appear to focus on. Sloth, of all people, would know. He used to practice Aikido.

You guys are right. I totally wrote the wrong style. I meant Iaido, which is another Japanese sword style. Silly me, because of she knew aikido she could easily use that to fight.

Peak human is what you see the best human in their field can do, then maybe a tad more then them because they are probably not the highest possible, but still pretty close.

How expensive is tuition at New Peaks? I'm sure a school such as this isn't just a "You wanna go here? AWESOME! Welcome to New Peaks!"... as it seems to be a fairly prestigious place to go for an aspiring martial artist or fighter. As such, I would think the only ways in would be to have either a fairly wealthy family or to gain a scholarship in some way.

As average College Tuition is around $30k USD per year, I'm guessing that tuition to an academy like New Peaks would be comparable, if not somewhat higher? I'm simply curious, as I stated that Vincent came from a fairly wealthy family in Sicily.

The IC is sitting there whenever anyone wants to go there for whatever random things they have planned. Battles begin whenever anyone challenges someone else and they accept. So far there are only two students so there isn't much chance of that until more arrive.

I was just wondering because generally the GM makes the opening IC post.

There's no central storyline at the moment that I can think of that would be a good opener.

1.) I'll be making a couple edits to Weiss before the IC starts up
2.) What happens if a student accidentally kills another student. I've been doing a lot of research and have found that the forces of even some more basic martial arts attacks such as a crouching side kick from a Capoeira practitioner, can pack up to 1800 pounds of force... enough to stop a human heart from sheer impact.

I'm not saying everyone will kill everyone... but logically, fatalities WILL happen.

Was already editing Weiss to have Tiger Style. I'd appreciate it if you don't use that one. Should be plenty of other animal styles to use.
