Dominic Maltivan watched the kindred slowly enter the large business meeting room. The giant black marble table was big enough to fit 50 people, though there wouldn't be that many. The young woman sitting at the end of the room in a corner glared at everyone as they came in but remained silent. He had been warned that the local kindred and lupes had a truce, but he did not expect to have one show up to his first Elysium. He had enough to deal with without them, but he wasn't about to spark a war by refusing her.
The wall to wall window behind the host chair provided a good view over down town Texarkana and was mildly soothing, which was good, since his irritation only rose as more guests showed up.
A Samedi, a child, a wacko from the local asylum, a brute, and only a fraction of the locals he was told were here. This was going to be a bloody nightmare. It was like a child's adventure game in there. He sighed deeply, as the ghouled secretary buzzed that the last had arrived. Well jacked up help was better than none. And if they were true to the cause, he could herd them into greatness with the city.
Well the only way to go from here was forward, so on with it. As everyone, a total of about 15, arrived and either sat in the plush expensive business chairs or stood, Dominic opened the side door and stepped out, moving towards the host chair as he spoke. "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and thank you for coming. This meeting has been called for many reasons, but most importantly, to announce the camarilla presence in the city... which is a reason I am a slight bit annoyed to have so few locals here." Despite an obvious effort, he couldn't help but let a bit of his anger show at that last bit. "But I am sure they have their reasons, and we will address that more later. The city of Texarkana is growing, and before it gets too much more attention, the camarilla must get a hold of the area. The elders have placed me as prince, but it will be up to me to establish the rest of the court. I am Dominic Maltivan of clan Ventrue. I am going to ask that each of you stand forward and state your name, clan, and purpose here. After that, I will tell you what needs to be done in the next few nights. I am not a general, I will not be demanding individuals to do anything this night. You are all adults...well most of you... and should know what what your strengths are and what you accomplish. I just want it done. Please leave all questions until the end" He sat like he had just run a mile and motioned to the group to begin.
