Some other details:Gender: Female
Age: 17(9)
Appearance:Pretty much like this, only with some variation in clothing, depending on some abstract reason.
No, the image is not our own artwork. We liberally borrowed it from DeviantArt. We'd make our own image, but that takes too long, and we no longer have a renderer we're familiar with.
Flaws & Merits : (2 pt. Merit) Dual Nature - She's often fairly small, sweet and innocent, yet when push comes to shove, her deeper nature of cold, unflinching ruthlessness will come forth. Much like how a small girl can wrap someone around its little finger, all the while seeming to be all sweet. Most will never see the second nature lurking beneath her surface, let alone realize how much she can control it.
(1 pt. Merit) Concentration - With her strong connection to the Cobweb she can at times seem to be easily overpowered by it. But in truth it has taught her unusual control. When she really needs to, she can shut out pretty much any distraction, be it noise, pain or even the cobweb itself. She can put her entire focus on one thing.
(1 pt. Merit) Acute Hearing - When she concentrates on it, she has hearing far beyond what most other kindred have. She can hear things that others think they're saying low enough to be indistinguishable from background noise. She can similarly listen into conversations from a great distance. Of course, this can also be a bit of an inconvenience, for sometimes she hears too much.
(2 pt. Merit) Natural Linguist - When it comes to languages, she's a natural. She learns languages more easily and faster than most others. Prior to her embrace, she studied languages, so while she can't always remember having studied them, the knowledge is in her mind.
(3 pt. Merit) Lucky - Needs no explanation, really. It says everything for itself.
(2 pt. Merit) Judicial Ties - Somehow, Alodia has contacts in the Justice system. For the most part, she uses this to get into and out of various madhouses, but she can just as easily use it to affect criminal cases or investigations.
(1 pt. Merit) Inoffensive to Animals - Animals do not fear or distrust her the way they do most of the Kindred. They treat her as they would any mortal
and do not shy from her touch. Rather convenient, really.
(1 pt. Merit) Prestigious Sire - Her sire has great status in the Camarilla. Even prior to his embrace, he was well known. Alodia doesn't like using his status for her own benefit, but will do it if she needs to. Even without regular contact with her Sire, those who know of the connection will often treat her better for it. Others, be it due to ignorance or dislike of her sire, treat her with contempt. The prestige is not universal. Among Malkavians the connection tends to be more known than among the other clans.
(1 pt. Flaw) Insane Sire - Her sire is quite insane. Even more so than her. It is almost so that it can be said that he lives for the Cobweb. Though not often, he will on occasion issue orders to his Childe. These orders will turn out to follow some purpose that is dictated by the Malkavian Madness network. It might benefit the Camarilla, or it could just as well not affect anyone visibly. Or it could set the stage for future events. Its impossible to say. Last time he contacted Alodia, he sent her to Texarkana to help form the local camarilla, several years before even the idea struck anyone in the Camarilla, let alone had decided upon someone to make prince.
(1 pt. Flaw) Short - She's considerably shorter than most others. Unless she jumps, she can't see over most high objects. While that is inconvenient, her short stature and slight build also makes it much easier for her to hide from others. She can hide where most wouldn't think that anyone could fit.
(1 pt. Flaw) Prey Exclusion - She's a picky eater. For her, the only acceptable food is male virgins around her (apparent) age, black-haired priests & geeks.
(2 pt. Flaw) Amnesia - When she was embraced, her memory shattered. Much of it was lost, other parts simply disconnected. She struggles to remember what happened before and after her embrace. It is all mixed up. As such, she might at times forget about her greater-than-human abilities, but eventually her thirst will remind her.
(1pt Flaw) Touch of Frost - Plants wither as she approaches them and die at her touch. Her skin is cold, almost like ice.
(1 pt Flaw) - Repulsed by Garlic - She cannot abide the smell of garlic, and the smallest taint of its scent will drive her from a room. The full force of
its pungent odor will bring blood tears to her face and can render her temporarily blind, while its touch causes unspeakable agony and
even open wounds.
(0 pt flaw/merit) - Mimes - She can't stand them. If she sees one, she will do her best to find a way to kill it.
Brief history:From the Journal of Alodia:
We don't remember where we came from. Or do we? Cheese, said our father, our sire. That makes perfect sense, we think. It explains everything. In the end, everything comes down to fish. All logic leads there. You don't understand, you say? Pah. You are blind! You are all blind! Hold this torch into your left eye. Fire will open it. You will see better. We think.
No! Don't hit us with that branch! Fish we say! Fish! We will not stand for this. Father will teach you, should you open your eyes. We remember studying science. And it all led to fish. Except language. That led to moose. We did not fit in with the others. They mocked us. Lied to us. Claimed our theories were ridiculous. We taught them otherwise. All that remains of their blood is now in my papers. No! You won't read them. They are ours. OURS!
Northern Europe, we remember. Or is that from Father? It is hard to say. He is in here. He is everywhere. And nowhere. Moose. The theory of fish states all. Fear not. You will not die yet. Or will you? Chased walrus, we were. Fly, we did. Or was it swim? Matters not, it does. This place is home now. We like it here. Many fish. Ample blood. We like it.
Derangement description & how she works:Alodia's derangement is multi-faceted. For one, she's got multiple personalities, sometimes working together, other times at cross-purposes. She's got a bit of memory problems too, having trouble distinguishing when what happened in the past. Her connection to the Malkavian Madness network is pretty strong for a kindred of her age, which in turn destabilizes her in comparison to most others.
She's also obsessed with fish and certain other animals, using their names in place of some other concepts. Alodia is not the classic joker, though. Even prior to the Embrace, she was more than a little insane and utterly inept socially. She's a bit of a scientist and was nearly a prodigy, but the embrace rather made that potential wander off. She's still unusually intelligent, but she's a malkavian, so its of varying use.
Reminding her of the past isn't the smartest thing. She has vague memories of it, but seeing as how she's insane, the pre-embrace memories are utterly mixed with the post-embrace memories. When she feeds, she tends to be a bit messy, like in the appearance image. Basically the rest of her derangement is that she explains things scientifically, filtered through the perception of a Malkavian.
She's not much of a fighter, but still more than good enough to tackle most regular mortals. When it comes to combat, she will dodge and hide more than she will go for direct confrontation. She has only minimal conscience, so killing is something she couldn't care less about having done. She doesn't know how to do a lot of mundane things, like use firearms or drive vehicles. [/quote]
