Only dragons roam this land as both the dominate and most intelligent species. The lands even know of their greatness for they are shaped perfectly for each different kind of dragon that strides across the massive world they were born into from the ice regions where the icy mountains kiss the sky, the deep swamps filled with the sorrows of the world, to the thick forests that bring this land to life, even rare rolling hills of sand that go on for miles know they hold these fearsome beasts. Yes, there are a few other animals that live beside them, but they never will reach the knowledge, the power these many dragons hold when they were birthed onto this land to rule. Even though most of these creatures fight with their brethren to show the most powerful race, some have more peace than war, these places are found where the first born came into the world, the sacred place where each race holds dear to them, that they protect with their lives. Some explore, they want to expand their knowledge they want to know more about their world but instead cause chaos and death. Some of these "shrines" still stand, most of them have missing pieces or have been lost forever in caves that have collapsed or have been abandoned. Some have made it their quest to fine their ancient roots, others go day by day doing the same thing rather it be fighting with their kin, or just trying to survive. Wingless or not, these dragons have their strengths and weaknesses, their ups and downs that range in different categories, no dragon is more powerful than the other, they are all equally balanced, most of them call this a curse or a burden, but those who say that are most likely fighting another opposing race, thus the same wars rage on for centuries taring up most of this beautiful land their own world in a never ending fight for dominance for a dragon to worship, most of these groups that fight have lost their shrines in natural upbringings, or have discarded them. Some dragons have been hidden away in secrecy, in this case young dragons that have been taken from all of the strongholds, these eggs were pure-blooded dragon eggs that came from the "royal" families to be taken care of in the "Heart of the World" which was located in the deep underground tunnels that lead out to all of the different parts of the world. This was the molten core, the very center of the world above them. A shrine that wasn't written in history lays here more ancient than the ones in the lands above, the first shrine of the Dragon kind. Their goal with this shrine and these eggs were to bring a new beginning to the raging war above, one where all races of dragons can live in peace, a place that will forever change their world. This is where new lives will begin. If you're interested in joining this RP then fill out this character sheet below after reading the lore above, thanks.Name:

If you have any questions please ask away below and I'll be sure to answer them. I will start the RP once we have enough active members put in their characters here. Some basic races if you don't have any idea of what you want to play:
The magma drakes live in the city of Vulcan, which is located inside of Mt. Ignis, a volcano in the middle of the Wyvern Mountain Range. They tend to have incredible physical strength, and are usually immune to fire, heat, lava, or overheating in general. Their scales range from red to yellow, with some that have black scales as well, and their scales tend to come in a few different patterns, the most common of which looks like the magma that surrounds their city. They, however, are also usually very slow, and more often than not lack wings (hence the term drake). They are usually quadrupedal, with very few of them being serpentine, and even fewer actually having wings. They are at war with the Aquuis, who threaten to drown the land, and are allied with the nearby Wyverns.
An aquatic race of dragons that has mostly adapted to life underwater. They live in the underwater city of Azure, which is in the dead center of the Aquuis Ocean, much farther west than any of the towns which are located on land. Popular belief among the aquuis is that they are, in fact, in the center of their planet, whether or not that's been proven true by anyone. They tend to be quite attuned to magic, and are almost always capable of healing others, however, their claws and teeth aren't as tough or as sharp as the rest of dragonkind... and their physical strength isn't anything to write home about either. Aquuis tend to have webbed feet/hands, or a serpentine body, and almost always have blue scales to blend in with the ocean, they also usually have fins in place of wings, though, rarely, an aquuis is hatched with wings... unfortunately, this is seen as evil, and the wings are clipped at a very young age. They are at war with the Magma Drakes, who threaten to dry up their ocean, but are aided by the Forest Dragons who live in the Western Forest just off of their coast.
Once believed to be another species entirely, the wyverns occupy the mountain range that has been named after them on the eastern side of the continent. They have given up two of their limbs for unbeatable flight capabilities. As well as being able to fly, most wyverns have some sort of control over the wind, which makes it that much easier to fly, and to ground any flying opponent. They rarely have to rest in flight, however, they are quite vulnerable, with their scales being very light, and fragile as a result. They, too, are usually much lighter than the rest of dargonkind, and are, just like their scales, more fragile than the rest of dragonkind. They are also somewhat clumsy on the ground, however, they are experts at using their wind magic. They are at war with the Forest Dragons, who will stop at nothing to fill the land with towering trees which would break the wind and make it harder for the wyverns to fly. Their scale colors are usually pastel blues and whites, ranging from medium blue to stark white. They also tend to have cloud patterns on their scales, to blend in with the sky.
Forest dragons obviously live in the forest... the Lost Forest, to be more precise. This forest stretches for five miles from the Azure Ocean all the way to a mere two hundred feet from the Wyvern Mountain Range. The locals are very religious, and believe that the trees hold the souls of their dead. The Forest Dragons almost always have wings, and always walk on only two of their four limbs. They often carry a weapon with their other limbs, and are usually somewhat well trained in using said weapon. Their scales usually come in browns and greens, occasionally coming in striped or spotted patterns, in which case, they'll normally have some black scales, as well. Forest dragons are also good at finding and making natural cures from whatever plants may be surrounding the area at the time... however, their scales aren't too resistant to magic. They are allied with the aquuis, whose ocean helps feed their forest, and are at war with the wyverns, who threaten to destroy their forest, and what most of the Forest Dragons believe to be their ancestors in the process.
These lightning-elemental dragons live in the Thunder Plains, located to the east of the Wyvern Mountain Range. The storm dragons themselves are the cause of the plains getting their name, due to the fact that several storm dragons in one area will cause ceaseless thunderstorms and rain in the area. Their scales are typically darker blues and sometimes even occasionally nearly black. They also usually have a lightning pattern on their scales, which can be anything from white to red to black. Most storm dragons walk with a bipedal stance, all of them have wings, and it is impossible for any of them to have a serpentine body. They are pretty good at using their magic, and their claws are rather sharp and tough, they are also very fast... however, their claws are also very short compared to other dragons, and their scales don't seem to be very good at resisting either magic or physical attacks. They are allied with the Lost Ones, whose swamp provides an interesting variety of the resources that the plains lack, and are at war with the polar dragons, who threaten to freeze the entire planet.
These dragons live in the Frozen Ocean, far to the south of Azure City. The constant snowstorms protect the polar dragons from invaders, and also provide building materials (snow) for their buildings. These dragons scales and fur tend to be a light blue, or even white color, with the rare brown or dark blue usually being ridiculed by the other polar dragons. They typically do not have wings, and instead, often have a layer of fur which aides in their protection against the harsh elements that they live in. This fur does not seem to replace their scales, which still exist underneath the fur. They are quite strong, and well defended against physical assault, but like the magma drakes, they are also quite slow, and are somewhat vulnerable to magic with their fur also being quite flammable. They are allied with the crystal dragons, who often send over their women, as well as several magical items (making mixed-race children common for polar/crystal dragons), and are at war with the storm dragons, whose lightning threatens to melt their homeland.
These strange dragons live in the hostile, swampy area to the north of the Lost Forest known as the Forsaken Swamp. The very air of the place is poisonous enough to keep intruders at bay, and is even used in the lost ones' poisons more often than not. The lost ones are almost always serpentine, however, they also normally lack wings. While they are serpentine, they typically have arms and clawed hands. Their scale colors come in dark greens and black, with their eyes often being either yellow or red. The lost ones are usually very good at using darkness-based magic, and are taught from an early age how to craft poisons and even how to combine their poisons with their magic, however, their claws aren't very tough, and their arms aren't very strong, making them often rely on their average speed to either dodge or cast a spell that combines a sleep poison with damaging shadows, or something similar to succeed. They are at war with the beauty-obsessed crystal dragons, who consider them trash, and are allied with the storm dragons, who often teach them the secrets of lightning magic in exchange for some of the strange plants that grow in the swamp... oddly enough, the Storm Dragons are typically immune, or at least resistant to the poisons of the Forsaken Swamp. The Lost Ones are currently trying to find out why that is, as the Storm Dragons don't appear to be close, or even distant relatives to them.
These dragons live to the south of the Wyvern Mountain Range, in an area known as Radiant City. The city, which is made entirely out of a crystal found in a nearby cave, seems to light up whether it's day or night. Interestingly, the dragons that live there are often covered in these crystals, not from working in the mines, but instead are hatched that way. The crystals are clear on their own, and the 'color' of these crystals is determined by their scale color... which can be every color except for black, white, grey or brown. The Crystal Dragons are an oddity, as nearly 80% of them are female, and they can come in almost any possible form... anything from serpentine to quadra-or-bi-pedal, also often possessing wings. The fact that most of them are female means that most of them are paired off with a polar dragon whose frozen tundra and constant snowstorms don't bother the crystal dragons at all. The crystal dragons' scales (and crystals) practically absorb magical damage, however, they tend to rely on others to actually damage enemies, as they specialize in healing and support magic. They are allied with the polar dragons, whose snowstorm provides some protection to the women that the crystal dragons send to them, and are at war with the mutants that call themselves the Lost Ones.
