-This is an alternate timeline/heavily non-canon RP for any onlookers, just saying!-
Two hundred years after the Galactic Empire was defeated and replaced by the New Republic, and their guardians, the New Jedi Order, the galaxy was at peace. Things gradually became nice and lazy without the threat of the Sith returning... But the Jedi remained vigilant, as they had nearly been annihilated too many times in the past to overlook. It was their sworn duty to defend the New Republic, standing beside them in any and all matters regarding the security of the massive alliance and the safety of billions of innocent people under their control. The Republic was beginning to settle...
They were wrong. The Sith and the Imperial Remnants, who were never truly defeated, charged forth from the Unknown Regions of the galaxy to claim vengeance. They were the Sith Empire once again, just like all those thousands of years ago. Their amount of Force-sensitives was enough to battle on even ground with the New Jedi Order, and even begin to crush them during the opening months of the war. The Republic meanwhile wasn't ready for anything of this scale. They were initially beaten back, and the galaxy was split in half. After the Republic began to hold it's ground and start working beside the Jedi, the Sith Empire's advance was halted. This war wouldn't end any time soon... Today, it's been two years since the beginning of the war. Neither the Empire or Republic want to make too harsh a move, fearing that the other side will suddenly gain the upper hand.
Now, there is a disturbance in the Force. At times, a blinding light, and at others a shrouding darkness. A single person, completely unaware of their unusually potent connection to the Force. This one Force-sensitive could turn the war in the favour of either side, but first they need to get their mitts on him. The Jedi could teach him to use his power to help others, fight for justice and illuminate the galaxy. The Sith would capture him and turn him to the dark side, hopeful that at full power he could decimate the Jedi and the pathetic Republic... But they need to locate him, and persuade or capture him. Of course, there's a war to fight - nobody cares that much about ONE young Force-sensitive all that much, ...yet...
