Ollum, for this you have to take 5LA free. The world has been under the complete control of the Chaos god for a little bit now so the whole world has been altering to his whims. This will reflect with thing like the geography being completely out of whack and lots of unstable things, like governments.

To argue in favor of Phrenic:
With Phrenic, you don't gain the ability to use the crazy power-point system psions use. Just use the powers as spells, hell, have your believe they're spells -- he's a wizard! The powers he can use because of phrenic are just some spontaneous magic he can use because of his natural aptitude.
The power resistance helps avoid psionic attacks (which is nice since everyone hates psions)
At levels 1-2 you have:
--precognition defensive +1 to AC and +1 to Saves. So, this is basically the cantrip resistance
--1/day, you have force screen is literally shield
Once you hit level 3, you also get:
--3/day a +2 to will saves as an immediate action
--1/day Mind Thrust -- the magic missile of psionics.
Level 5:
--1/day daze an enemy
--1/day Body Adjustment. You get to heal yourself! As a Wizard! Magic!

There's no reason to run away from something just because it says psionics. You don't even have to mess with power points or psionic focus or any of that crap.

Yes I took a look at it. I still don't want it. Partly because It still is psionic and partly because I feel its a little to boring. Now Radiant Subtype. I may be able to get behind that. That sounds hilarious

Do you have a source on that? I've never heard of that.
Also, Omega, do you have a campaign name I can use in the stat rolling? The website organizes rolls by both user and campaign, so if we all roll with the same campaign name, we can all see each others' rolls

Edit: Wow radiant does look fun. LA 3 with a lot of goodies.
The aura has the potential to hurt the party, but still!

Go to the same site you linked the phrenic creatures from. Just go to creature templates and look for radiant creature. Its kind of like a planetouched but these people have ancestry in the plane of light.

I think I will go with, "Chaos God's Domain" for the campaign.

For stats, 6#4d6r1k3 will roll 6 stats, 4d6 drop lowest, and rerolls all 1s

For the purposes of this campaign, you have 5 Free LA. This means you can choose a more powerful race than normal - normally you can only play human,dwarf, etc, who all have LA 0
You can choose a more exotic race, like, say, minotaurs.

You could also modify existing races with things like templates, which also add to the LA.

If you want some suggestions, I'd be happy to give you some for the kind of character you want to play. :)

Thanks for the help. My current CS is a Half-Elf Swashbuckler I don't really have any interest in being a different race right now. (Unless I can find a cool nautical one.) So what can I use my LA for?

any elf subtype can have, by extension a half elf subtype related to it. all they have to do is get busy with a human.

Now I may or may not be bowing out of this. I don't know yet. Just giving a warning.
