While Magnus and Ulric were sitting there discussi plans on taking down the Terebitha as well as safely entering his own house the entire contient was gradually turning to shit. "Ulric, look, how about this. We get our asses inside my heavily fortified and nearly impenetrable house then we continue to discuss this, because frankly I would like it if atleast a fraction of people were kept alive..." Magnus told him. "Ah hell with it, I'll just go myself, I don't have time for this." Shortly after he recieved psychic speech from Martin asking him if he needed help. "No, Not currently. I believe my forces destroyed most of the drones in Kilo Point, I can handle the rest by myself." Magnus thought. While Magnus couldn't directly send speech, he could easily send a scene of him talking to Martin. He took off towards Kilo Point, Ulric was right, they were really close to Kilo Point from their location. For, with Magnus' speed he reached it in a few minutes. The site he saw was rather horrific, corpses of vampire and human alike strewn everywhere, some in pieces. There were several drones surveying the area for anything that moved, fortunately the humans on the street had enough sense to hide, and what remained of his army that were patrolling the streets had taken cover as well.
A loud resounded and soon after a metallic clank followed by a explosion of one of the drones. "Lord Magnus!" The sniper called out from his residence, Magnus had outlined the fortress with many various places to shoot from and look out of. Magnus merely grinned and said "Nice shot, now hold your fire unless I say so. My absense was the reason everything got so bad here. I'll finish this myself." Magnus of course referred to here as in Kilo Point. He could sense Rhyss inside the mansion among other people, so, he had made it back alive. Magnus' thoughts were interrupted as a drone shot itself directly into him, Magnus was lucky enough to have stopped it in time or there would be a big hole in him right about now. "I don't like it when things destroy my city." Magnus told the drone. It began to whirr and click as it tried to pull away from Magnus' grasp, but Magnus' wouldn't have that. He picked the drone up, and slammed it into the ground smashing it into tiny pieces of metal, wires, and things of the like.
To his shock blood came spurting out of it, he had seen something similar from the one the sniper took out, but he thought of it as nothing more than oil or something similar. It suddenly became quite clear to Magnus as to what Stein was doing, and if his calculations were correct, every vampire that wasn't of Stein's creation was going to die. Possibly those Stein himself created. He had little time to think that now, the drones had decided to surrounded him. "Well, thanks for making this all the easier." He told them. He grabbed his last remaining flash bang from the side of his jacket, removed the pin, let it cook for a few seconds, tossed it, and got the hell out of dodge. The flash bang would fry the drones' targetting systems as well as it's communication systems, everything from there would be child's play. The flash bang exploded, destroying one of the drones with the shrapnel, and utterly frying the drones' capabilites to fight. Some of them merely flew around bumping into everything, others just sat there.
Magnus began his assault, cutting through the drones with ease. Shortly after the drone's in the area were no more. He began to wonder about the intelligence of those in his army... A vampire peaked out of the door of his estate to check if the chaos had stopped, bunch of useless cowards... Magnus thought to himself. Magnus began walking towards his estate "Get medic's out here to tend to the surviviors, both human and vampire. Turn the human's if it means their survival." He shouted across. Shortly after a full team of medical staff came out carrying bags of medical supplied and blood, Magnus simply pushed past them. "Lord Magnus!" A vampire called from the doorstep. When Magnus reached the door the vampire began following him and speaking "We have recieved numerous requests of aide from Canada, they seem rather desperate. They are fighting a losing battle with Stein's creations, they are willing to pay any price if we come and help them, including aligning themselves with us." Magnus grinned as he heard this. The vampire continued to speak "Outlying countries are offering us assistance as well as allegiance to destroy what Stein has created as well as Heaven's Greatest Weapon. Sir, most of the modern world has no idea what to do, they are seeking help and advice from you as well as other Ancients."
Magnus really liked the direction this was going in. "This is very good news indeed..." Magnus said with a grin. Rhyss had heard all the shouting and had came to see what's up, of course he knew it was Magnus from the sound of his voice. "Welcome back Magnus, glad to see you made it back safely." He told him. He figured it was best not to mention Dresden, he knew from the way Magnus was carrying himself that he already knew. "Oh, Good, Rhyss. Just the person I was looking for. I need you to get on the phone with whomever is practically beating down our door for help from Canada, tell them we will help them on several conditions. The first being they allow us to set up a head quarters of sorts in Canada to monitor their activity, just to make sure they adhere to their promise of allegiance. Secondly, they will ally theirself with us entirely, their forces are ours and vice versa. Thirdly, they will give up a number of humans from their ranks to be turned deteremined by how many of ours die in the process of helping them. Lastly they will give us all research on any worthwhile technological advancements as well as weaponry advancements they have."
Rhyss nodded and walked off towards the communications room. Magnus knew they would accept these conditions, because they didn't stand a chance otherwise. Little did Stein and most of the world know the old Government did have some highly advanced weaponry and technology, if need be Magnus could simply use it to take down the Terebitha. Hell, with part of the stuff they found he could have the world on their knees. But, for now, he chose to keep it hidden. As well as another hidden weapon he had found, there was a reason he had set up his bade of operations in Kilo Point, a reason only a small few knew of. He dismissed the vampire who had for some reason still decided to follow him and walked to hid room, he opened a hidden chamber and in front of him was a clyindrical key. Had it not been for Stein Magnus would have never discovered the cave system that housed a vampire older than himself, older than Gabriel, perhaps the first vampre in creation. Shortly after during the war he sent out a team of vampires to scout the cave systems for any SOLDIER in hiding, what they reported back to him was something far greater. They told him about a stone coffin of sorts, ancient, with many different symbols and markings depicting a vampire.
He had the team who discovered it killed and began research on the coffin, he had a team engineers construct a key from scans of the hole in the side of the coffin as well as images from various ancient texts. The engineers knew they would be destroyed shortly after the key was made so that no one but Magnus himself knew of the key. It was completed shortly after the war ended, sort of a last ditch effort in case everything went to hell. Stein wasn't the only one with a secret weapon... He made sure it was still there and left the room. He grabbed a blood pack from the small refrigator in his room and bit into it, it had been several days since his last meal, he sucked it dry and tossed it in the trash. He sat down in his chair, waiting to hear news from Rhyss about Canada's acceptance as well as contemplating all the possible outcomes of what was about to happen from his knowledge, several showed success, either way it would be one hell of a ride.
Matt opened the package cautiously, it wouldn't be the first time someone tried to blow him up. Inside was a stone cylinder. "What in the hell is this, exactly?" Matt asked turning the thing ever whichway. Shortly after a SOLDIER came running down the hall. "Sir, we have caught transmissions from Canada as well as outlying countries concerning Magnus and Stein. Canada is prepared to align themselves with Magnus for his help, so are several other countries. The world is in panic, something concerning Angel's and Demon's as well as Heaven's Greatest Weapon and the Terebitha with the drone strikes across the country and in Canada. People are speaking of a extinction event on the radio, they are saying if Magnus doesn't aide the rest of the modern world and they he that we are all doomed." The SOLDIER told him. Hearing this made Matt's eyes widen with shock, if this was all true SOLDIER was done for, hell if this was all true the entire country was done for. "Send a message to Magnus, make sure the feed is cloaked and cannot be traced. Tell him I need his input on this. If it is true then I will use whatever forces I have left to aide him." Matt told the man who hesistated before running off. Matt shivered in disgust at what he had just said, as much as he hated Magnus, as much as it went against what they were currently fighting for, Matt cared more for the survival of the United States and the rest of the world than his own petty quarrels.
