Some measure of time moved by and Mithias was stirred by the wind blowing his hair across his face. It was night, and he was indeed lying on his back in an open field. The sky was clear and the dead and dried grasses from last summer crinkled softly in the breeze. The faint scent of blood that lingered after the Terebithia mingled with the earthy scent of grass and ground, telling that she had recently been there. Now awake, Mithias collected and directed his thoughts. Two facts struck him like a hard slap to the face. He was alive, and he was free. There could have been no greater insult than this, and yet, he could do nothing but accept with gratitude and broken pride. Things were looking grim, both for Magnus' vampire nation and for Mithias' closest allies and family.

The tired vampire sighed deeply, watching the stars. How he loved nature. As much as he wanted to disappear for a hundred years, he worried about others. If he didn't.... Mithias declined that line of thought. If he didn't, there'd be no reason to exist at all.

Like an old man, Mithias forced himself up. What day was it? What time? ... What year?? He narrowed his eyes as he looked around him. He could have sworn Martin was just there a moment ago. Oh yes. Martin no longer had a body. Terebithia had re-created Stein, and Magnus was nowhere to be seen. Rhyss was probably very angry with him and Onikage probably wanted revenge. Chances were favorable that Gabriel was still alive and on the run. Now, what was a failure child left to do? Mithias stood, straightened himself out and checked his weapons. Yes, he still had them. The best way to stop Terebithia was to find Magnus and strengthen the vampire nation. Much could be said for having international allies, structure, income, power... Now what direction was Kilo Point?

"̢̀͡ Noth- West from here... "̸̶̴͠
Martin answered Mithias's inner monologue as blood on the snow formed a crimson arrow, it was clear he'd stopped caring about pleasantries and subtlety. The Illusion was blatantly obvious so even most humans. "̢̀͡ It's about a 7 kilometer walk from here, though if you take a slight detour you pass by a creek, you might want to freshen up. "̸̶̴͠

With a voice layered thick in psionic treble and glamour it was difficult to tell, but someone as familiar with it as Mithias could tell he was agitated and bored.
"̢̀͡ Anyways I've scoured your being for any remnants of Stein but it seems your problem resolved itself. You are clean and healthy...
Now, is there anything else life threatening going on? Something you need help with or can you deal with these robotic cretins yourself?"̸̶̴͠

Dropping any theatrics he turned direct and almost businesslike.

"̢̀͡ It's actually a relief to not have that pompous human on my mind for a second, even though I did end up investing a lot of memories into that silly little machine of his that I can't access right now. I think I put everything I knew of African history on there among other things I can't even remember, shame about the African history thing though, I was going to put something together in a Loa theme, it was going to be mystical and stuff but I can barely remember who the Baron was... Sam? Sammy? Baron something something anyways. And with BIOpilot turned of or gone my internet access is gone too, that sucks badly...
I'll be honest, I'm bored now that he's gone... Hey did you need help or not? Else I'm going to pursue other projects, like find a new system to house memories. These humans and vampires keep dying! It's tedious. I think I scanned some scientists minds on biological AI somewhere, might steal that and build something cool with it."̸̶̴͠

Martin let his thoughts flow, barely stopping to judge the value of any of his thoughts. Without the worry of his brother in harm's way, talking about how they were all going to die. He only stopped when he noticed he was forgetting control and accidentally burst a couple of humans somewhere.

"̢̀͡ Damn it all! Why is everything in this blasted earth so damn fragile!? "̸̶̴͠

While Magnus and Ulric were sitting there discussi plans on taking down the Terebitha as well as safely entering his own house the entire contient was gradually turning to shit. "Ulric, look, how about this. We get our asses inside my heavily fortified and nearly impenetrable house then we continue to discuss this, because frankly I would like it if atleast a fraction of people were kept alive..." Magnus told him. "Ah hell with it, I'll just go myself, I don't have time for this." Shortly after he recieved psychic speech from Martin asking him if he needed help. "No, Not currently. I believe my forces destroyed most of the drones in Kilo Point, I can handle the rest by myself." Magnus thought. While Magnus couldn't directly send speech, he could easily send a scene of him talking to Martin. He took off towards Kilo Point, Ulric was right, they were really close to Kilo Point from their location. For, with Magnus' speed he reached it in a few minutes. The site he saw was rather horrific, corpses of vampire and human alike strewn everywhere, some in pieces. There were several drones surveying the area for anything that moved, fortunately the humans on the street had enough sense to hide, and what remained of his army that were patrolling the streets had taken cover as well.

A loud resounded and soon after a metallic clank followed by a explosion of one of the drones. "Lord Magnus!" The sniper called out from his residence, Magnus had outlined the fortress with many various places to shoot from and look out of. Magnus merely grinned and said "Nice shot, now hold your fire unless I say so. My absense was the reason everything got so bad here. I'll finish this myself." Magnus of course referred to here as in Kilo Point. He could sense Rhyss inside the mansion among other people, so, he had made it back alive. Magnus' thoughts were interrupted as a drone shot itself directly into him, Magnus was lucky enough to have stopped it in time or there would be a big hole in him right about now. "I don't like it when things destroy my city." Magnus told the drone. It began to whirr and click as it tried to pull away from Magnus' grasp, but Magnus' wouldn't have that. He picked the drone up, and slammed it into the ground smashing it into tiny pieces of metal, wires, and things of the like.

To his shock blood came spurting out of it, he had seen something similar from the one the sniper took out, but he thought of it as nothing more than oil or something similar. It suddenly became quite clear to Magnus as to what Stein was doing, and if his calculations were correct, every vampire that wasn't of Stein's creation was going to die. Possibly those Stein himself created. He had little time to think that now, the drones had decided to surrounded him. "Well, thanks for making this all the easier." He told them. He grabbed his last remaining flash bang from the side of his jacket, removed the pin, let it cook for a few seconds, tossed it, and got the hell out of dodge. The flash bang would fry the drones' targetting systems as well as it's communication systems, everything from there would be child's play. The flash bang exploded, destroying one of the drones with the shrapnel, and utterly frying the drones' capabilites to fight. Some of them merely flew around bumping into everything, others just sat there.

Magnus began his assault, cutting through the drones with ease. Shortly after the drone's in the area were no more. He began to wonder about the intelligence of those in his army... A vampire peaked out of the door of his estate to check if the chaos had stopped, bunch of useless cowards... Magnus thought to himself. Magnus began walking towards his estate "Get medic's out here to tend to the surviviors, both human and vampire. Turn the human's if it means their survival." He shouted across. Shortly after a full team of medical staff came out carrying bags of medical supplied and blood, Magnus simply pushed past them. "Lord Magnus!" A vampire called from the doorstep. When Magnus reached the door the vampire began following him and speaking "We have recieved numerous requests of aide from Canada, they seem rather desperate. They are fighting a losing battle with Stein's creations, they are willing to pay any price if we come and help them, including aligning themselves with us." Magnus grinned as he heard this. The vampire continued to speak "Outlying countries are offering us assistance as well as allegiance to destroy what Stein has created as well as Heaven's Greatest Weapon. Sir, most of the modern world has no idea what to do, they are seeking help and advice from you as well as other Ancients."

Magnus really liked the direction this was going in. "This is very good news indeed..." Magnus said with a grin. Rhyss had heard all the shouting and had came to see what's up, of course he knew it was Magnus from the sound of his voice. "Welcome back Magnus, glad to see you made it back safely." He told him. He figured it was best not to mention Dresden, he knew from the way Magnus was carrying himself that he already knew. "Oh, Good, Rhyss. Just the person I was looking for. I need you to get on the phone with whomever is practically beating down our door for help from Canada, tell them we will help them on several conditions. The first being they allow us to set up a head quarters of sorts in Canada to monitor their activity, just to make sure they adhere to their promise of allegiance. Secondly, they will ally theirself with us entirely, their forces are ours and vice versa. Thirdly, they will give up a number of humans from their ranks to be turned deteremined by how many of ours die in the process of helping them. Lastly they will give us all research on any worthwhile technological advancements as well as weaponry advancements they have."

Rhyss nodded and walked off towards the communications room. Magnus knew they would accept these conditions, because they didn't stand a chance otherwise. Little did Stein and most of the world know the old Government did have some highly advanced weaponry and technology, if need be Magnus could simply use it to take down the Terebitha. Hell, with part of the stuff they found he could have the world on their knees. But, for now, he chose to keep it hidden. As well as another hidden weapon he had found, there was a reason he had set up his bade of operations in Kilo Point, a reason only a small few knew of. He dismissed the vampire who had for some reason still decided to follow him and walked to hid room, he opened a hidden chamber and in front of him was a clyindrical key. Had it not been for Stein Magnus would have never discovered the cave system that housed a vampire older than himself, older than Gabriel, perhaps the first vampre in creation. Shortly after during the war he sent out a team of vampires to scout the cave systems for any SOLDIER in hiding, what they reported back to him was something far greater. They told him about a stone coffin of sorts, ancient, with many different symbols and markings depicting a vampire.

He had the team who discovered it killed and began research on the coffin, he had a team engineers construct a key from scans of the hole in the side of the coffin as well as images from various ancient texts. The engineers knew they would be destroyed shortly after the key was made so that no one but Magnus himself knew of the key. It was completed shortly after the war ended, sort of a last ditch effort in case everything went to hell. Stein wasn't the only one with a secret weapon... He made sure it was still there and left the room. He grabbed a blood pack from the small refrigator in his room and bit into it, it had been several days since his last meal, he sucked it dry and tossed it in the trash. He sat down in his chair, waiting to hear news from Rhyss about Canada's acceptance as well as contemplating all the possible outcomes of what was about to happen from his knowledge, several showed success, either way it would be one hell of a ride.
Matt opened the package cautiously, it wouldn't be the first time someone tried to blow him up. Inside was a stone cylinder. "What in the hell is this, exactly?" Matt asked turning the thing ever whichway. Shortly after a SOLDIER came running down the hall. "Sir, we have caught transmissions from Canada as well as outlying countries concerning Magnus and Stein. Canada is prepared to align themselves with Magnus for his help, so are several other countries. The world is in panic, something concerning Angel's and Demon's as well as Heaven's Greatest Weapon and the Terebitha with the drone strikes across the country and in Canada. People are speaking of a extinction event on the radio, they are saying if Magnus doesn't aide the rest of the modern world and they he that we are all doomed." The SOLDIER told him. Hearing this made Matt's eyes widen with shock, if this was all true SOLDIER was done for, hell if this was all true the entire country was done for. "Send a message to Magnus, make sure the feed is cloaked and cannot be traced. Tell him I need his input on this. If it is true then I will use whatever forces I have left to aide him." Matt told the man who hesistated before running off. Matt shivered in disgust at what he had just said, as much as he hated Magnus, as much as it went against what they were currently fighting for, Matt cared more for the survival of the United States and the rest of the world than his own petty quarrels.

Martin regarded Magnus's style of psychic communication trough solely illusions to be both entertaining and creative.
"̢̀͡ Good, good. I'm detecting quite a lot of content and pride, you found the sarcophagus didn't you? My advice? Wait a few more moments before indulging in it.... On an unrelated not, I'm going to need some private space for a.. project. Can I use the mines?"̸̶̴͠
"Ah shyte, that sounds like more trouble than I signed up fer." Cedric scratched the back of his head and thought for a second.
"D'ya mind if I use yer communications? I want to see if I can tell ye more bout the thingamajig I gave ye."
A shadowy figure in dark hooded robes snuck trough the city of Kilo Point. Around his neck hung a small copper bell, it shook silently.
For a few minutes he stood still, mumbling into himself, he then continued on.
With skill and a set of lock picks he broke into the back door of the old hospital.

"Thank you, brother." Mithias replied. "I owe you my life several times over." He looked in the direction of the blood-red arrow in the snow. "Seven kilometers..." Certainly a drone had flown him out here, because Terebithia wouldn't have come this close to Kilo Point for any purpose. 7K was practically Magnus' backyard.

Mithias frowned when Martin accidentally killed a couple random humans in his amplified thought. Inwardly, he feared his sibling would slowly lose himself, a fragment at a time, due to the fragility of his network, not to mention the merciless deaths his musing could cause. But the elder brother bit his tongue. After all, who was he to give Martin any advice? "Be careful, brother." Was all Mithias said. His confidence and pride were crushed.

Like a soulless zombie in the darkness, Mithias walked to Magnus' fortress. As he neared, a sniper shot him through the back, the high-speed bullet passing out the front of his chest, spraying blood forward with it. Mithias staggered a step, the wound healing immediately. Straightening again, he kept walking, like he didn't even care.

A vampire knocked on Magnus' door, with a groan he said "Come in." He hadn't got a bit of rest since he returned, so much had happened in his absense and of course EVERYONE wanted to tell him about. "Sir one of our snipers has spotted someone running through the forest about 6 kilometers out. What should we do?" The vampire told him. Could it be Mithias escaped? Or maybe it was Martin? He sat still, scanning the area for any psychic connections or abilities. It was indeed Mithias the sniper had spotted and probably shot. "Do nothing, I will go." Magnus told him and shoved past him. He made sure to refill his claws with poison and grab a few flashbangs and a smoke grenade on his way out, just incase Stein had done anything to him. He took off out the front door, he had much to discuss with Mithias, much to ask him about. To his amazement he got shot by one of his own sniper's in the forest, amazed at the fact that the sniper hit him...and the fact that he hit HIM. "Exactly what in the hell do you think you are shooting at? Pay attention! This is how people get killed accidentally..." He told him before continiuing his trek through the forest to Mithias.

He stopped shortly, he estimated he had ran about a kilometer already. He sat on the ground to get his bearings, then began wondering why in the hell he actually decided to run all the way here. Mithias as just as psychic as he, why not use that ability? He sighed at his own ignorance and closed his eyes, locking on to Mitihias' mind with ease. He depicted the scene of the forest, Mithias running to Kilo Point, and then Magnus stepping out in fromt of him. "Hello Mithias." Magnus told him with a grin. "It's been such a long time, you wouldn't believe the problems that have occured in your absense. Yet, you probably do, considering you most likely all ready know of them. Tell me, Stein is dead, isn't he?". To anyone that didn't know Magnus you would believe you had stepped into a alternate universe with highly realistic holograms. But of course, it was only something Magnus had mastered with his ability soon after the war. Magnus simply stood there grinning waiting on a response.

After a soldier had handed Cedric a phone he turned his back to the room raising a finger, signifying he wouldn't be long.
He dialed a number from a piece of paper he fished from his pocket and waited...
"Ah, hello? Right! It's Cedric.
...
No the hunter ye send out to former america.
...
I'm not surprised to hear that at all.
...
There have been some developments.
...
*sigh* There have been some developments, sir.
...
Your original plan to play them out 'gainst each other using the coffin is no longer very profitable sir.
...
Yeah I know you have bigger things on yer heads, but I'm tryin' to tell ya this is related tot he angel scare.
...
No I dinnea know if this is related to some mass epidemic o' nightmares, first time I'm hearin' of it.
...
..sir.
..
Okay, so the deal is, they're probably going to work together with Magnus to fix the tertiary threat, also I suggest a cooler name for that, here they're callin' it Terebithia.
...
Will do sir.
...
Understood, then I am to tell them what's in the coffin?
...
Uhm... What's in the coffin then?
...
...How much?!
...
You lot are good
...
..You lot are good, sir"

Cedric hung up with an agitated look on his face and turned back around to the group.
"Sooo... awkward.. That there's a key to a coffin said to contain one o' the oldest vampers in existence, cool weapon right? Well the idea was to tip off the vampers on the coffin that was placed there by me employers 20 sumthin' years ago. And give you lot the key right now. Hopin' that it will make a quick n' violent end to the war, one side killing the other for their piece o' the puzzle... Then the winning side opens the lid and get's a nice once second view of a massive coffin full a' Astrolite before it blows their fokin' face off.. along with the entirety o' Kilo point and surroundings."
Cedric paused.
"But me employers agree that with the recent events that is no longer their.. priority." He laughed nervously.
"So 'ere I am, telling ye everything ah know."
"̢̀͡ I will be brother. It's time for me to find something more permanent, I'll keep you posted. "̸̶̴͠
A van drove trough the streets of Kilo Point, it had an aura of unremarkableness around it. If anyone would see it, they wouldn't notice it. Just another car.
It parked behind the old hospital, five hooded figures carefully came out the back, they scanned the open parking lot.
Another figure came walking up to them from the hospital. "Drunmed vaungon gisamed gedmed" He whispered.
"Pevaugisa vaumals" the others answered with smiles.
The six of them walked into the hospital. They came out a little while later carrying medical equipment and bloodbags.

All too quickly aftter beginning his short trip, was Mithias detected and psychically received by the vampire monarch himself. Even as his own physical body continued forward, he accepted the mental visions projected to him. He saw Magnus, exactly as he appeared in the real world that moment, step out in front of him and start speaking. Mithias watched the scene as if watching a film, yet outwardly, he kept moving, nearing to the source of the communication as the two conversed.

"...Tell me, Stein is dead, isn't he?"

He answered by contributing to the scene. The realistic hologram of Mithias in that alternate universe stopped in front of Magnus, his head bowed. Long black hair shaded his eyes as he refused to meet Magnus' gaze. With uniquely characteristic grace, the son of the absconded antediluvian knelt. "My lord, Magnus. I have failed us all. Stein lives once again, and I contributed to his resurrection. I am such a fool." The younger vampire was obviously pained by this, on a personal level. Mithias at least lacked no manors. Clearly he had been taken advantage of. Images were transmitted to Magnus as Mithias recounted his fragmented memories. It began with the image of Stein laughing in the dining room, the horrific and spontaneous fire Mithias and Martin had summoned... "Stein had poisoned me, then revealed to me his plan to destroy our country and begin nuclear winter if I did not agree to betray you and take your life. Only after his death did I discover that Terebith had become fully sentient. She took me as I lay, possibly dying, cut into my skull and used me for her experiments, writing a saved copy of Stein's mind into my own mind." Mithias recalled his intense fear in being strapped to the surgery table in the lab, the lights in his eyes and the precise robotic arm. Also, the numerous copies of himself in the lab. "In me, he lived without my knowledge, and she gave herself the ability to knock me unconscious at any range. Such is what ocurred when Rhyss carried me back to Kilo Point. However, I was able to converse with Stein in my mind while I slept. He told me that Martin had triggered certain protocols on Terebithia that would lead to the end of the world and the cration of heaven's greatest weapon." ...the images of the world burning and the seraph flying over the crashing warship. "Although I had no guarantee that Stein would keep his word, or would even have any reason to let me live afterward, I took him back to Terebithia. He told me he would cancell those protocols. It was foolish of me to go, but I quickly found I had no choice. I should never have let the situation get so out of control." Mithias placed a hand on the ground, as if in deep regret. "But make no mistake about it, Magnus..." Mithias pulled up the ice-cold demeanor of stein as he watched the flesh melt off the dying pre-seraph experimental subject. "...Stein still wants to kill you, Martin, and Gabriel, and to make his master race. I have no doubt that he will get his mind set into one of his creations and continue his sadistic goals in a new, immortal body of untold power." Suddenly the mental images ceased, and Magnus would open his eyes to find Mithias kneeling before him in the real world, just as he was in their telekinetic conversation.

"I am ashamed to be alive, my lord, but I am vengeful. Stein's 'mercy' mocks me, for I know he only intends to use me to get to my father. I return to you, Magnus. Let us grow strong. Let me once again serve to strengthen our empire and take revenge on our enemy."

In the illusion, the alternate version of the scene sat Martin listening while sitting on a tree stump.
Appearing as his old vampire self but wearing long dark robes and his white hat.
He sat leaning head head on his palms and looked confused at both the king and his subject.
"̢̀͡ He wasn't quite written into your mind though. If he was I would have found him and extracted him. He is elsewhere, saved on a cpu I suspect, and was broadcasting thought into your head like an illusion. I'm not sure how he bypassed your reinforced defenses but I don't believe that's relevant. What is relevant is the biggest question I could ask.
It's 'why?'...
What in the name of a thousand drowning children does this lunatic even want from us? Why is he so hellbent on getting our father? His motives is what I don't get. "̸̶̴͠
Once filled up with medical machinery and liters of blood the hooded figures left the town in the van.
A few kilometers outside the town they parked on a field in front of the old abandoned mine.
There they met up with several other groups of hooded silhouettes.
A few more vans full of medical gear, two construction machines, and two large coach buses full of humans bound, gagged and blindfolded.
"Drunmed vaungon gisamed gedmed pevaugisa vaumals" was whispered by many.
A tall man with white dreads and blue eyes stood on a large rock as he took inventory of the groups of hooded people that arrived.
The wide cloak was draped loosely around his shoulders, the pale moonlight highlighted his presence and all listened to him.
"We have gathered here tonight to follow our dreams my children. Let us get to work."
People packed equipment or lead lines of imprisoned and set off down into the mine.

"I do not know, Martin. Perhaps vampires killed his family. I was also hellbent on killing us once, so I can understand it. Perhaps for Stein, his drive is power, or peace and an end to the eternal war... but it would all be an effort to promote his studies. Nonetheless, there is something about our father. I fear losing him would begin a great undoing of our species. We know now what we are up against, for the most part. We need to prepare ourselves for the upcoming battle. Magnus, I'm going to try to find Gabriel and get him to tell me what would make him stop running."
