"My oh my, so many choices" the woman crooned. "You know, you're really funny" she told the man who had just arrived "telling me to trust you. Hah! Trust is for the weak." Then turning her head towards Ranathia "get out of my way girl" she ordered as she held out a hand with 4 rings on it. The ring with the emerald on it glowed as Ranathia was engulfed by a small tornado and thrown to the wall. Then the sapphire ring glowed and the woman and Mithos were both trapped inside a dome of water. "Now, let's not have anyone getting any funny ideas..." she said as she pulled out a sword and threw it at the water dome...it was torn to shreds as it hit it. "so yeah...no one'd getting in or out unless I say so. Now then, let's play" she cackled as he eyes began to glow.
"I fear that whoever that voice was, she made a terrible mistake" Mithos mumbled to himself. As he pored all the magic her could into his barrier in perpetration for her attack. Unfortunately, his shield wasn't designed to defend against the kind of attack she unleashed "AHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Mithos screamed as he clutched his head in pain
"Now I must admit, you captured my curiosity before when you said we didn't understand your problems, and all that stuff that came after it. So I just have to peak inside your head and find out for myself...oh, well isn't this interesting" she chuckled "looks like you were right boy; I certainly didn't see that coming. Here all of us were assuming that you were all torn up about the damage done to both your name, and your family's name, the humiliation of being dragged through that farce of a trial, along with being reduced to being a babysitter for a royal brat...but no, none of that's seemed to phase you at all..."
"GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!" Mithos screamed, but the woman just ignored him.
"No, it wasn't any of that at all...it was the people in the room during that incident that got to him...how fascinating." Turning to Ranathia, she said "you know girl, he used to think you were interesting. He had never met another girl like you before. That is until he heard what you really thought of him. He lost all interest in you then. He's even been actively avoiding you since then. In fact, when you offered to take him here, he was suspicious of you. How amusing...but it's his cousin that's the most amusing"
"BE SILENT! DON'T YOU DARE SPEAK ANOTHER WORD!!" Mithos demanded, even though his body was wracked with pain
"Oh be quiet. I'm triggering all nerves to report pain to your brain. The fact that you can speak is impressive, but there's no way you can even move in your condition. Now where were we...ah yes, your cousin. It hurt you, didn't it? That she seemed to be unable to understand, that she couldn't say a single word in your defense. Even though she was the reason why you ended that fight so quickly, why you targeted the rune right away. You were so sure that it was some evil relic, that not only would it's destruction end the fight, but that the world would be better off if it was gone, and you know what; I kind of agree with you. That thing looks like what I'd make if I wanted to make an evil demonic rune, hell, even the name fits. All you were trying to do was end the fight as quickly as possible, to ensure that she wouldn't get caught in the crossfire, even though what you wanted to do was drag it out just a bit, to get a better handle on those new powers of yours. Yet she didn't seem to understand that, no one understood that. Instead they called you arrogant, reckless. And your own cousin and childhood friend couldn't say a thing in your defense. It made you question your entire relationship with her. That is what has you broken up about the events a month ago. Oh, what's this? You seemed to make a lot of comparisons to this Marta girl. I wonder who she i-" but before she could finish, she found a light arrow in her right lung. "Gah!"
"I...I told you...to stay quiet" Mithos managed to gasp out
"You...managed to think coherently enough under all of that pain to cast a spell and aim it at me...color me impressed" the woman smirked. "Well, it looks like I'll be needing some medical attention now. Oh well, I got what I came here for. If you can't take care of the boy now, then that isn't my fault" and with that, she vanished into thin air, taking with her the glowing dragon symbol
