He intertwined his fingers with hers and he looked into his eyes as he told her he trusted her, and just wanted it to be easier on her. She smiled, glad that he hadn't started to become paranoid on her, glad that he trusted her so much, even as she could easily kill him at that moment.
She still, when it came time to it, she saw that he was nervous. Of course he was, they weren't sure that it would cure her. For all they knew, it could actually be poison for her. She hoped to God it wasn't poisonous. So, prayers sent upwards. She smiled at him again, also a bit nervous. "Yes, please."
The joke didn't help with her nerves, but she had tried at least.
She stepped closer to him, closing the distance, and kissed him on the lips softly before moving over to his neck. Her lips grazed his warm flesh, his heartbeat right beneath her fangs yet again. She didn't let o of his hands, keeping their fingers intertwined, but her other arm did come up and over his shoulder as if she was feeding normally. For a moment, she hesitated as she thought about the last time she was at his neck and ready to bite. She thought about how much he trusted her and loved her to let her do this with complete trust. She almost didn't want to bite him...to expose the most inhuman quality about herself by biting him. For a moment more, she just listened to his heartbeat, and felt it through her lips.
Finally, she figured she couldn't delay it anymore. She couldn't back out of the experiment without feeling regrets.
"I love you." she whispered quietly, focussing on his heartbeat, warmth and breathing to help drive her instinctive side past her mental barrier and bit down into his neck.
She felt the familiar rush of blood in her mouth, and she eagerly drank a few mouthfuls. His blood was sweeter than she thought, but that was probably from all the fruit he ate. She pet track of how much she was taking in, and although she couldn't help but drink a bit more than she had intended, it was by no means anywhere near serious blood damage. It was perhaps, only a couple swallows more than a pint. When she was slowing down, she noticed a slight burning sensation that wasn't there with other blood. This must have been some of the effect. Pulling out slowly, she kissed the spot she had bitten down on, and then his cheek. His neck would heal fine with a little pressure and cotton..she hadn't tapped directly into his carotid. "Now...we wait I guess. I told him to give me until tomorrow evening." She nuzzled into him a bit before letting go of his hand. "You need to tend to your neck." she said quietly, walking over to sit on the edge of the bed. The burning was faint, like mild salsa, but she noted it was still strange that it was there to begin with.
