Ha! I forgot I even put that up! Yeah i think it could work, if we plucked Mystique from First Class, since she's still learning about individuality and not totally crazy at this point. And Steve seems like he's also trying to find himself, they seem like they're both lost, in a cliche way.

I wouldn't say they're the same thing, since I'd associate doubling with equal effort for both roles. I offer because it does give the plot more room for different direction and interest but if you're fine with just having two roles, that's okay too.
