Planet Unknown- Sci-Fi roleplay with 3 different Faction/Races

first time running/designing a roleplay, please be gentle

In the far-off future, during an intergalactic war, a planet seemingly appears out of nowhere and is discovered by the 3 warring nations at the same time. Not much is known about it, only that it has 3 moons, is believed to nurture life of some kind, and has a large enough power source to turn the war in the favor of whoever controls it. With this knowledge in hand, the 3 nations each set up a base on one of the 3 moons for an expedition to the planets surface, unsure of what to expect.

Factions

Caletans- a humanoid race, the Caletans are masters in the art of biotechnology. They don't build machines, they grow them. All of their technology is made from either plants or some sort of genetically modified animal. Every Caletan is a scientist of some sort, and their society runs entirely on solar power. The Caletans have a democracy.

Halepotians- A more animal race, the best way to describe the Halepotians is by saying they are large, armor wearing kangaroos without ears. They are a warrior race, with a monarchy that decides who the king is by whoever kills him. They use Alsium coal for energy, named due to the dark metal made as a byproduct when it is burnt, Alsium. Not only do the Halepotians make everything out of Alsium, they worship it as their God, claiming that all Alsium is a singular sentient being that rules over them. Unlike the other 2 races, the Halepotians use melee combat in wars.

Jalaki- The Jalaki are a race of hyper intelligent spider-people. They get all their energy from nuclear power. Due to a cataclysmic nuclear meltdown on their home planet, their race was almost obliterated. Fortunately, a select handful of them had a rare gene that gave them a decent resistance to the nuclear radiation. Overtime, this resistance grew until they were completely unaffected by the nuclear radiation. They use this to their advantages, flooding their bases with radiation for the ultimate defense system: Anything that isn't Jalaki dies.
Their government is a republic in which representatives are elected into the High Council.

Unique Racial Attribute: (Each race has a different attribute that is unique to their race. For Caletans it is what branch of bio-technology they specialize in, for Halepotians it is the melee weapon that they use in battle and use for spiritual rituals, and for the Jalaki it is the radioactive isotope they use in their nuclear inventions.)

While I would not like to add new races, I can be convinced, and I will accept any feedback about changing them or changing the circumstances of the planet. Feel free to ask any questions.

Thanks, help would be very appreciated. I have the general idea planned out, I'm waiting for more people to express interest before I post any formal character skeletons, but I have decided that Caletans must specify a specific specialization in the field of biotechnology and that Halepotians must have a specific weapon they use for battle/worship.
