Celeste Romilda

Cel remained as calm as possible while waiting for the list of pairings. However, once the holographic projection popped up, she began to feel nervous. She wondered whether it was really necessary to see the pairings today. She could just go home right away and come back tomorrow when she'd be more mentally prepared. Don't be so stupid , she chided herself. Taking in a deep breath, she stepped forward to read the list. It was better to just get it over with right now instead of staying in suspense till tomorrow. Instead of scanning straight away for her own name, she slowly studied the pairings one by one and looked around to see if she could find the other tuners. It was pointless, really, at this time to know who was paired with whom in this sea of strangers but Celeste continued doing so. She was, in reality, just grasping for a few more seconds to prepare herself before finding out her own pairing.

'Celest Romilda with Lucis Gonjake.'

Whether Cel liked it or not, she had ended up looking at her own pairing. An anticlimactic wave of relief washed over her. Was this even worth getting worked up over? she wondered before turning her attention towards the list again. She studied the picture of her Receiver carefully before looking around. "Hi! I'm Celeste Romilda. Nice to meet you" Cel rehearsed her introduction in her head before giving herself further instructions. "Act friendly, smile , but not too much- you don't want to come across as a goof. And whatever you do , don't you dare get flustered.". After that, she moved away from the list, waiting for the crowd to thin out so that she could find Lucis.

Adrian Floris

Adrian had entered amidst the eager crowd waiting for the pairings in the room. After having chatted momentarily with the newbies, he left them as they went to see their pairings. He figured it was time he looked for his own partner as well. Adrian knew Shun would be making close to zero effort in finding him, so he looked around the room. Not that this seemed to bother him in the slightest -he had enough enthusiasm and amiability for the both of them . Over time, he had become accustomed to some of the aspects of Shun's behavior. Adrian briskly walked through the heart of the room- there was no point in looking for Shun there. He knew his sourly friend would be sulking somewhere at the back and definitely was not in the center of the room, socializing with others. He looked around for a blue-haired boy not wearing uniform. The thought of Shun appearing in uniform began to seem very strange to Adrian, if not unlikely. Finally locating him, Adrian greeted Shun loudly as he walked up to him."Look who finally made it to school!" he exclaimed with a grin as he punched Shun's shoulder as he often did on meeting him. Adrian noticed he wasn't wearing his uniform again which he had somewhat expected.

Miya

1:59 p.m.

That was the tenth time Miya had stared at the bistro's large clock in the last hour. A sigh of relief escaped her when the clock struck 2 p.m. With her shift finally ending, she wasted no time in removing her apron and flinging it over one of the hooks in the employee's room. She put back her daily belongings in the duffel bag she brought to work everyday before taking out her phone.Miya then swiped quickly across its lock screen. She didnt have a passcode on her phone-not like anyone could dare to mess with her things anyway. She then started composing a message to her aunt.

"Done w/ work
Hdng out 2 stores rite nw
Is spghtti 4 dnnr ok?"

Without caring to check her message , she hit send. Afterall, her aunt was used to deciphering her messages by now. Not waiting for the reply, she slid the phone in her pocket of her jeans.

"And I'm freeeeeeee!"
She shouted as she stood in the centre of the room with her fists up in the air.

Some of the workers jumped at her sudden exclamation while others rolled their eyes at her.

"Must you be so dramatic every single day?"
One of them called out as Miya headed for the door.

"Later." Miya replied with a smug look on her face, flicking her short hair with one hand as she did so.

Miya then reached the marketplace where she was to get her groceries from. She took out a folded piece of paper from her bag which happened to be her shopping list. She knew most of the things she needed to get, but she scanned it anyway. She hated making multiple trips to the store in one day, so she was going to make sure she got everything in one go. The list was written in permanent marker on the blank side of one of the menus from her bistro. The thick black marker made her handwriting look awful, especially since everything was written in capital letters.

As she entered the store, she noticed that there were quite a lot of people there already. A few of them were older than her, people who were probably also returning from their shifts. The majority, however, seemd to be groups of teenagers. She stared at them as though they had intruded her terrritory and were at fault for being at the store.
Why are there so many of them here? Dont they have school or something?

Her train of thoughts was interrupted by the alert tone of a message on her phone.

"Ok(✿ฺ◡ฺ‿ฺ◡ฺ)
O(≧∇≦)O Spaghetti sounds good!! o((*^▽^*))o
Take care!。(>ω<。)

Was all it read. While Miya used almost no smileys in her message, her aunt decorated all of her messages with a tonne of emoticons.
Glad to know you like spaghetti, Miya thought sarcastically as she stared at the excited emoticon.

As she went to the dairy products section, she realized why so many teenagers were at the place. It was summer after all.
Her stare subconsciously changed to a softer gaze as she observed the groups and what they were wearing, before getting some yoghurt as well.
With her list almost done, Miya pushed her trolley towards the check out line. She found the outfits adorned by some of the teenagers ridiculous and even felt like snorting at one or two. With the line infront of her budging only barely, she checked her list to see if she had forgotten anything.

"PASTA" the list seemed to scream at her.

Groaning, she turned her trolley around.
my post will be a bit late
i should have one up by tomorrow
Will get my cs up soon~
3 days and no lightning guardian- how long does a cs take anyway?
Things are crawling along at a pretty slow pace.
I'd suggest you guys open up the lightning position to other prospective players, or atleast start the ic, the lightning guardian can always join us later.
But of course, its all up to you guys.
Celeste Romilda

The beginning of the semester. Cel had visualized this day at least a dozen times in the last week. Despite this not being her first year at the academy, she still anticipated the event and the days to come. Each new year was a promise of undreamt possibilities for Cel, a chance for her to begin anew and better herself.

She had sat down in one of the front rows with her fingers interlocked and her hands resting in her lap. Cel was listening to the Principal's each and every word. She knew her attentiveness wasn't something she could boast about but Cel wasn't really good at tuning out people. Atleast the principal was trying to be genial, she thought. Compared to some of the more tedious lectures she had to attend over the years, the principal's speech was much more bearable. She continued listening to him, going as far as noticing his intonation and the changes in his speech rate. When the speech ended, Celeste joined in on the applause. The speech really didn't deserve any applause - it was mediocre, the sentences weren't timed well and the principal's choice of words seemed forever old and unchanging. She clapped, regardless, as expected of the students.

Cel looked around, waiting for Miki to appear. When the teacher did appear, Cel didn't know whether to feel pity or disdain. As a teacher, the least Miki could do was to be there on time. Still, she couldn't help but feel a tad bit empathetic for her-Miki was obviously embarrassed. With the teacher's announcement, Cel noticed the increase in the bustling chatter around her. The new students were clearly excited about getting paired up. Cel got up to leave as well and proceeded in no particular hurry.

Adrian Floris

Adrian had slept in once again. Not like this bothered him anyway. He got ready at his own pace and was outside the school entrance as the principal addressed everyone else in the gym. He walked towards the building leisurely, noticing how beautifully the cherry trees were blossoming. Adrian's thoughts went adrift to his afterschool plans. Perhaps he could go for a Hanami on the weekend. A pleasant breeze interrupted his train of thoughts and he looked up to see the lighter tree branches waving at him, their petals scattered to the wind.

Adrian didn't really feel like attending the principal's speech in the first place. It was the same thing every year: pompous claims about the academy's prestige and what not, some pointless prattle about rules and discipline and a big forced welcome to round it up. As Adrian walked towards the gym, its doors opened and out poured a stream of students. The first of them were newbies about to be paired, their telltale anxiousness taking over their speech. Adrian walked over to a group of them and greeted them with a smile.
All characters who are not paired at the start of the RP and are going to be paired RNG will have their pairings announced IC.

So can I still post about my unpaired character ?
