Ellien lifts her head, a broad grin on her face as she picks up a faint voice in the distance calling out "Encore!" with a giggle she shakes her head and stretches. Maybe some other time, she thinks to herself as she comes to a stop, opening her menu to view her map. The peak, combined with her high perception skill had allowed her to collect data on most of the cell save for a few dark spots where obstacles obscured her vision. Sadly, there wasn't much to note on the surface... It was common knowledge that there was a labyrinth entrance in the mountains, but so far very few had taken the time to explore the many valleys, caverns and peaks that surrounded it... Of course, that's what cartographers such as herself were for... And then when they find something good they can make some damn good money setting the information... But... her peak view didn't offer much that was valuable... plenty of mob spawn points... Mostly wolves and their "prey" animals such as goats, rams, etc... She wasnt sure whether it was a scenery object, or an actual program that caused the prey to remain behind... But she had caught hints of some form of boss in the mountains... She had found numerous large rams with huge chunks torn out of them... the pieces were larger than the mouths of any of the normal wolves... From what she had researched before heading into the mountains, there were no notes about bosses, so of course she had been tracking the beast for a couple days now... And she felt like she was getting close... It always seemed to show up in areas where people had been XP grinding using the smaller wolves... which of course made her think that there had to be some kind of parameters for it's patrol routes and spawn points... but of course, having never found it herself she couldn't figure out how long it took to despawn or respawn...
As she contemplated the possibilities, she stopped and just stared off into the distance, a foot propped up on a large rock... And that's when she heard it... A rustling in the brush... A snapping of twigs here... a branch rustling there... And she freezes, hand pulling back through her sleeve and into the chest of her cloak, sliding down to her hip and grasping her dagger... Her cloak was large enough that the extra bulk and the empty sleeve wouldn't be obvious, although someone with a decent perception might notice it... And she just stares off into the distance, her perception high enough that she didn't even need to turn as she heard the player step out into the clearing with her... If he made a hostile move, she'd be ready for him in an instant... Of course she was probably being too paranoid... not everybody was a PKer... but... She had encountered more than one out there... and the only thing that had saved her the first time was pure luck... The second was her speed... If she encountered a third.. she'd be ready...
"Hello, how are you on this fine day did you map anything important?" She hears from behind her, which caused her to frown... How the hell did he know she was out here mapping the area? She hadn't told anybody where she was going... Especially not a stranger... Maybe she was just being paranoid again... But with her life on the line she could never be too paranoid.
Putting on a smile, she turns to face the man, keeping her right side facing away so her arm holding the dagger was concealed, and pulls her hood back with her left "Hey," she says cheerfully, "Nothing much to be honest... at least nothing that I'd be willing to share, sorry, gotta make a living somehow." she says playfully as she looks at the crystal above his head and relaxes a little, seeing the green crystal, but she strains to listen to the area around her... the second PKer had been part of a group with a green bait player....
