[IC] The Hawthorn Facility

A group of large black buses, each having the word Hawthorn written on their sides in golden letters, rode in a single file line as they made their way down a long, narrow strip of rode, the only surroundings being miles upon miles of flat grass lands. On each of these busses were dozens of men and women, there ages ranging from young children to the elderly. It was after hours of this mind numbing driving that the rows of buses came to a large wall the extended about twenty feet up into the air. The only visible entrance pass the wall seemed to be a golden gate with a H placed on the center of it. As the buses came closer to the gates they opened and aloud the long line to pass. A large, what looked like a ten story, building came into view as the busses pulled into the curving drive way. A large fountain was planted in front of the building and shot a beautiful display of water into the air. The buses came to a stop at the bend of the drive way, just in front of the entrance. The doors of the buses opened and the riders were indicated to take what ever they had brought with them and to exit the buses. As the mass of people began to grow on the steps in front of the building a older man, looking to be in his late forties, with well kept graying light brown hair, pale blue eyes, fair skin and a warm smile came through the front door to the building. He looked over the group for a brief moment before he spoke up in a charming and kind voice.

"I offer each and everyone of you a happy welcome. As many of you may know you have been sent here do to your special talents, a trait all of you share. I wish to be the first to tell you that this place is a safe haven for your kind, a place for you all to feel at home and rest. For this is the goal I and so many others have strived to achieve, this is the Hawthorn Facility and I am it's founder and head specialist on Meta-humans, Dr. James Hawthorn."

Vein would stand up on the bus and crack his neck knuckles and all other possible bones as he would then sigh softly and grab his bags and create two small creatures out of Concentrated lightning that could carry the smaller ones for him he would then join the others at the enterance to the building with the strange man standing infront of it.

Dylan got up and did a quick stretch. He walked outside and heard a person talking about the place. He didn't really believe it was a safe haven. Mainly because, well, who would put a guy who crushed people with buildings and put him into a safe haven.

IC: "Gosh darn it."

Rose looked up from the familiar "Game Over" on her iPod, the sudden stop having caused her to mess up a game of Temple Run, something she had just remembered she had on her phone on the way to the Hawthorn building.

That's how bored she was.

Her eyes flicked over her fellow passengers on the way out of the bus, counting in her head the ones she recognized from the news. Murderer. Murderer. Rapist. Particularly creative murderer. Lawyer. Sociopath.

With this kinda company and no powers, nothing could go wrong!

This time. This time. This time! Vivian thought frustratingly as the buses rolled on, staring intently out the window. "Bloody hell!" she had exclaimed as the buses came upon Hawthorn, aggressively kicking the seat in front of her. Her golden eyes flickered about and she found some guards to glare at. They must have something stopping us from using our powers, she realized. When the buses finally came to a stop, she filtered off the bus with the rest of the sheep. She'd like to release some stress, but the young woman was stripped of all belongings but the clothes on her back. And she couldn't take on these people without a weapon or her powers--especially with the guards around. They didn't trust her with a pen. An older man was droning on with some welcome as she looked around at her new neighbors, a confident smirk replacing her angry glare. Funny you need such armed guards at a such a happy facility, she thought curiously, her eyes continuing to wander about as she absorbed her surroundings.

Vein looked to his side and noticed vivian as he repeated in his mind 'damnit dont let her see me damnit dont let her see me damnit dont let her fucking see me' the boy kinda hid himself inbetween a couple people hoping to god she didnt see him

Roxy stepped out of the bus and growled at those closest to her. She didn't like people, especially when they were in her personal space. She looked around at the group gathered listening to someone giving the ' this is a safe place spiel. Like she hadn't heard that before. She wasn't buying what they were selling. Roxy leaned against the bus and waited to see what would happen next.

It had been dark inside the bus, so as he stepped out Ardal rubbed his eyes in the daylight. Someone growled in his ear but he was looking at the ground through his fingers and didn't see who it was. He was feeling fairly disoriented and not himself; everything in the past few days had happened so quickly.

A familiar face caught her attention during Vivian's scan. She first blinked in surprised and tilted her head a bit. For a moment, it almost seemed like she was angry. But then she just licked her lips and offered the boy a cold grin that didn't quite reach her narrowed eyes. Well, well, well, she thought. This place might be more fun than I bargained for. She wiggled her fingers as a wave to him and winked before turning her attention back on the old "specialist."

The boy lowered his gaurd and wiggled back out from inbetween people as he saw one of the gaurds look his way he quickly stopped using his powers and it was just as though he had his bags setting on the ground the entire time as he reaturned the wave to vivan wondering if she was just leading him into false security

Making his way through the crowd, Ardal saw something flicker out of the corner of his eyes. Looking down on the ground he saw a small green garter snake flicking its tongue and staring at him expectantly. He sighed with a smile, it was happening quicker then normal this time. Still, he thought that it would be nice to have a companion in this place and quickly slipped the snake up his coat sleeve, hoping no one would notice.

Dr. Hawthorn offered another warm smile to the crowd before he spoke up again. "Before I can allow you all to explore the facility we must first begin processing you. It is a quick and simple process I assure all of you." As he spoke the doors opened up behind him and he began to enter the building. He came to a stop at what looked like a military check point, there being six armed guards surrounding a small desk at which the doctor took a seat. "I will like you all to form a line and tell me your name as you come to the desk. After which the appropriate accommodations will be made for each and everyone of you." Dr. Hawthorn said in his same warm tone and waited for them to form a line.

IC: Rose hastened to create the front of the line, eliciting a few glares from other assembled metas.

She could only hope the glares were only for her speed, and not anything else they could have heard.

Vein stood at the front of the line right infront of a girl who seemed eager to be there looking at the old man "i am vanity tsukiko but for those who know whats best im normally called vein sir.." the boy had his bags in each of his hands ready for the fact that they would be checking his bags. "also sir i would like to talk with an old friend i happened to capture for this place later if you dont mind"

Roxy snorted as the director instructed them to form a line. She had no intentions of following orders. She continued to watch the others. Once she saw what happened to them she might consider lining up. For now she intended to lean against the bus and watch. You could learn a lot from watching.

Vivian watched everyone scramble to get to the front, eyes narrowed in thought for a moment. Eventually, she turned on her heel to take the back of the line. She wanted to learn as much about her new neighbors as possible, and she couldn't do that if she was greeted with "appropriate accommodations" right off the bat. I wonder what they have in store for people like me, she mused to herself, looking curiously down the line at her fellow meta-humans. She knew some--if not a good majority--were here involuntarily. It was typical for power to to your head, after all.

IC: Rose was very tempted to rub her eyebrow with her middle finger to surreptitiously flip off the kid who had cut in front of her, then realized she had done the same.

She let out a breath slowly and calmed her nerves.

Dr. Hawthorn offered Vanity a simple nod and his warm smile as he wrote down the boy's name on a clipboard. "We will see about you and your friend's reunion later, but for now will you step to the right with my associate Mr. Lock." He said looking up from his writing and indicating to his right to a guard who was standing next to a set of large crates.

From the back a rotten smell could picked up before a loud hacking sound could be heard. If anyone would look back, which a good some did, they would see a man who looked like he was literally rotting away snorting and spitting on the floor. The man rolled his shoulders and gut wrenching cracks came from all over his body. He then ran his boney hand through the patches of hair he did have on his head.

Making sure the snake in his sleeve was as still as possible, Ardal stood at the end of the line, used to avoiding being in peoples' way.

The boy stepped where the man told him and awaited the next part of the entrance process "hello" the boy would simply say to the gaurd
