Species:
Large reptiles who normally posess wings, and are usually capable of flight. Oddly enough, the number of limbs used as their legs is variable... there are almost as many who are two-legged as there are four, or six-legged... some are even gastropods, similar to snakes. Their body shape seems to vary as well, with some having a very long, thin, snakelike body, with others having a shorter, rounder, somewhat lizard-like body. They are typically capable of breathing fire, ice, or something similar, however, they are typically slow on land. The only things that remain consistant among the varities of dragon are the long neck, and, oddly enough, the fact that the older ones seem to grow feathers. Their sizes range between human-sized to about fifteen feet tall (or long) when fully grown. Their scale color usually indicates what kind of power they can use, and the males have two backwards pointing horns on the back of their head, whereas the females have one horn near the tip of their snout. Interestingly, they can have anywhere from one to three heads. Dragons with more than one head are referred to as 'Hydras.'
Avian creatures who seem to come in a wide array of feather colors. Their feather color may or may not indicate what kind of the new energy they can use. They seem to specialize in controlling the new energy, their talons more useful for catching prey smaller than themselves while they are in any fight. Their neck seems to vary between a swan-like long, slender neck, and a hawk-like short, thick neck. Phoenixes are always capable of flight, and are usually good to great at flying. There were originally rumors that phoenixes are immortal, however, they were proven false. Their wingspan can be anywhere from six to sixteen feet in width when fully grown, with their sizes complimenting their wingspan. The males tend to have a crest at the top of their head which is usually a different color than the rest of the bird's feathers.
These creatures are an oddity... their front half usually resembles some sort of bird, while their back half usually resembles the back half of some sort of large cat. They are a type of chimera which is made from only two kinds of animals, rather than the usual three for that species. Both the front and the back half seem to vary drastically, with combinations such as crow / leopard being just as common as the 'typical' eagle / lion. Their feathers and fur match the creature that said half is based on, with the feathers covering up to the chest area on the creature. These creatures tend to be exceptionally fast, yet are usually not very good at controlling the new kind of energy. Their sizes range from two to ten feet long when fully grown.
A strange creature that is a mix between three or more other creatures and can have up to three heads. These creatures are always of three different orders, making this thing difficult to classify. The creatures that make up the thing can be anything from dragons to wolves to even things such as fish, horses, birds, phoenixes... they can have parts and pieces from practically any multicellular animal mythical or mundane. As such, their colors are usually a patchwork depending on what animals the creature is a mixture of. They are usually oddly quick, yet tend to be somewhat poor at controlling the new kind of energy. Their sizes vary completely, but may be based off of the creatures that make the thing up. Gryphons have been found to be a subspecies of chimera.
It's not entirely clear whether these can be classified as animals or not. They tend to be made of one type of material, and seem to have a massive amount of the new kind of energy inside of their typically hollow bodies. They are the only remaining humanoid creature on this planet, actually resembling humans quite a bit. They are actually capable of using the new energy that dwells inside of them, however, they typically only do so in case of an emergency, as using too much of that energy could very easily kill the golem that used it. The materials they can be made of vary... anything from leaves to stone to iron or plastic are plausible. Their sizes are equally malleable, with anything from two inches tall to the size of a skyscraper being plausible... however, they tend to be around fifteen feet tall. Interestingly, they seem to actually grow as if they were animals, however... it's still unclear whether or not they are. They tend to be slow, but capable of withstanding a lot of pain... oddly, this may even be true for a leaf golem.
A hybrid species that is a mix between a dragon and a phoenix. They always have feathers, though, varying amounts, their front limbs are typically talons with their rear limbs typically being of the reptilian type. They usually have a very dragon-like tail, however, they also have tail feathers at the very end of that tail. They may actually have a beak in place of a snout, and typically lack horns of any kind. The males seem to have the same feathery crest that phoenixes possess, while also having longer tailfeathers. They don't seem to have any particular strengths or weaknesses when compared to the other varieties of creatures. Baffelingly, they are somehow still viable, capable of producing young... yet stranger is the fact that they're a hybrid species means that they are not of the first generation... scientists are still examining this species, of course, including a few of their own staff, by now.
Shapeless, slimy creatures that appear to be hyper-evolved ameoba. Their sizes vary completely, and their shape is completely malleable. Interestingly, they are actually multicellular creatures, and actually grow rather quickly. They tend to have a preferred shape, though, obviously, they'll still be one or two solid color or colors, and will still have the same consistency. The most common color of amorphous is actually blue, with red being very rare. They tend to be capable of withstanding a lot of pain, but are typically prone to things such as fire, or cold temperatures. There is no differentiation between males and females, and it is possible that these are actually genderless.
The animelious are humans or animals that have transformed into larger, more powerful animals, imbued by the energy from the plate's mist itself. These creatures are known to be good with elemental spells, occasionally being capable of using three or more elements, they also have the senses of the animals they have become. This mist has also effected animals in this way, however, most animals that have become this turn vicious, and are incapable of using any kind of magic. Oddly enough, people who have become one of these only end up as mammals. Canines, felines, and primates are the common varieties, but far from the only kinds. They tend to be incapable of taking too much pain, however.
People who've ascended beyond a physical form and have become blurred, three dimensional shadows of their former selves. Often an impression of their eyes remain; glowing a soft yellow, red, or sometimes blue but other than that they're simple shadows. Due to their ascended state they are unable to physically interact with any living being and can shift their form into a two dimensional state which allows them to slip through the tightest of spaces while sacrificing any physical presence they may posses. In both these forms Umbrins are very vulnerable to both magic and light, with the sun simply weakening their abilities. To protect themselves when in their three dimensional state Umbrins will posses objects and 'wear' them, their weaknesses and strengths becoming that of what they own to an extent which is often measured by how well they are covered. What they can posses must be either inanimate or no longer living, some possessing entire corpses in a mockery of having flesh again and items such as gloves also allow Umbrins to 'touch' even if they can't feel. To a minor extent Umbrins have been known to control shadow with magic but the further abilities like this are exploited, the more sensitive the Umbrin will become to light.
Accepted Roleplayers and Applications:
Name: Robert Morris
Gender: ♂
Species: Dracoavian
Age: 23
Appearance: Robert stands at about 5'7" tall, has sapphire blue scales covering most of his body, with sky blue feathers forming a line down his back which continues to his tail. He also has a lightning bolt design on the left and right side of his body, which starts from the corner of his eyes, and ends at his toes. Robert's feet are now much longer, given that his legs are now are digigrade, similar to how a dog or a cat's legs and feet are. His claws are a jet black color, and almost always seem to be arcing electricity between eachother. The feathers on his crest seem to be more of a white color rather than the sky blue that the rest of his feathers, including his tailfeathers are. The portion of his wings that have muscles and bones are also covered in these sky blue feathers, but otherwise look like ordinary dragon wings with the teal membrane matching his teal underbelly. His arms and hands also resemble bird talons, with feathers covering his shoulders, and the arms being a sky blue, similar to his feathers. His eyes are dragon eyes, and are orange, contrasting his blue scales.
Bio: Robert had a fairly average school life. Sure, he was never popular, and was occasionally picked on by bullies, and the like. Because his parents kept changing jobs and somehow kept changing whether or not they could afford the house they're living in, he had to switch schools every year through his K-12 education. Oddly enough, one of his friends, his best friend Chance always seemed to change schools with him. His mother and stepfather (his 'real' father abandoned Robert at the age of zero) seemed to always end up fighting the school system because of something about 'special needs' or whatever. This made Robert somewhat infamous among teachers and principals once high school came around, however, again, they had to move, this time, all the way to West Metropolis.
This was a huge move from Robert's hometown of Lucky City, and, unfortunately, this also restarted everything his parents had accomplished by fighting the school system, and, as an aftereffect, high school was pretty rough for Robert during the first couple of years. The fact that everyone was freaking out about some planet crashing into Earth didn't help matters that much.
He then went on to graduate from high school, and is now in college, where he doesn't need anything extra from the schoolboard, and he has since moved into his own place... or, rather, is going to. He already had everything of his packed and ready to go.
His mother separated from his stepfather, eventually dating his stepfather's best friend, who then went on to treat Robert horribly, and eventually kicked Robert's twelve year old brother, Jake, out of the house when they temporarily moved in with them. A couple months later, he moved in with his stepfather who also found someone new. Thankfully, the two didn't treat Robert badly, and by that time Jake had already moved in with the two. Robert had finally found a steady job, and was already moving out of his stepdad's place when he noticed an ear-piercing scream, and a bright light. He looked out the window after it was all over, but didn't see anything different. Thinking nothing was wrong, he decided to catch some sleep that night... nothing would prepare him for what would happen to him next.
Powers: Robert is capable of controlling electricity and lightning. He is also pretty good at flying, and can breathe fire very well. His claws are sharp, yet short.
Weaknesses: Robert has developed a fear of swords and guns, unfortunately. He also can't handle the cold very well. On top of that, his scales don't protect against much.
Other: This is my RP, and I'll play it however I want to! er, sorry...

Name: Tony Johnson
Gender: Male
Species: Dracoavian
Age: 30
Appearance: Tony is a very birdlike dracoavian, however, he lacks wings... or rather, the wings he has (which have replaced his arms) are too small to allow him to fly. Feathers cover pretty much all of his body, save for his snout, tail (save for one on the very end), and his legs (or, at least anything past the knees), which differ from birds due to the fact that the knees aren't reversed. He stands at 6'5", and has a tail that's just about as long. Most of his feathers are a forest green color with sand brown edges, however, the feathers on his underbelly, crest, and tail are a bright, vibrant red. His scales, which cover most of his face (up to the eyes), his tail, and legs are a yellowish orange color. Oddly enough, he still has fingers, four of them on each hand (with what used to be the pinky now being a part of the wing)... or three and a thumb on each hand. Each finger is also tipped with a silver-colored, four inch long, slightly curved claw. The claws on his toes are even longer, and the (what would have once been) big toes have a very curved claw at the end... he apparently has a fifth toe on each foot, however, it remains useless, similar to a dog's fifth toe. His stance is somewhat different thanks to his new body, with his legs changing to force him to balance on his toes rather than the entire foot, making him digitigrade. Despite all of the changes, he still currently wears his dusty brown uniform, which now has rips and tears in it thanks to those changes. The uniform consists of a brown jacket, jeans, and a very dirty white shirt... as well as black shoes which are the only part of the uniform Tony no longer wears.
Bio: As a child, Tony was always obsessed with dinosaurs. Yes, that was somewhat normal for children, but he didn't even care about a toy unless it was dinosaur-based. he never played with any of his toy cars, trucks, robots, or even his legos. Heck, he'd always wear the same costume on Halloween, that is, the same... but a bigger size... he'd always go as a velociraptor. Sure, he was picked on as a kid, often being called 'Lizard boy' among several, other, less appropriate things, but that didn't stop him. Tony did decently in school, but was never very interested in what they were teaching. Interestingly, unlike most children who are obsessed with dinosaurs, his interest in dinosaurs didn't fade when he grew, and yes, even as an adult he was still intrigued by the large creatures that once roamed the planet. Tony's parents weren't very supportive of him, and abandoned him at the age of thirteen. Tony always blamed himself for his parents leaving him, and was thrown into a depression for seven years. Thankfully, his middle and then high school were both nice enough (or well-funded enough) to help Tony through the first few years of his nearly crippling depression. In fact, he's only alive right now because the school has thwarted his continued attempts at suicide... he never saw his parents again, unfortunately.
Due to the depression, Tony ended up starting college somewhat later than most people would, however, as if to make up for it, he always took one extra class, no matter when it took place. Tony did have to work in order to pay for college, given that his parents were gone somewhere. This ended up being at the local Del Taco, where he worked as a cashier while he continued to go to college. Oddly enough, Tony almost always seemed to come up with just enough money to pay off his classes, even with the small, possibly minimum wage he was earning at the register, though, he had to survive off of canned beans and tap water during these few years. Tony finally got his degree, however, it was only a bachelor's degree, so, he continued with his old pattern, only this time, he was working at some office job that he absolutely hated. He was able to afford better food, cable, and a slightly bigger house, though, thanks to the fact that the job payed much more than his old one behind the register. This pattern repeated itself until he finally got his P.H.D... however, by that point, the world was ending, or, at least, that's what everyone seemed to think. Oddly, due to the whole 'world ending' thing, it was much easier to get into the job of his dreams... and his first dig was going to be tomorrow.
The next day, Tony was almost too excited to head off to the site, one that he learned had some strange and valuable objects, including dinosaur bones. The hours passed as Tony unearthed formerly lost treasures, along with a mere two other associates, Randy and Cindy, who, like him, were new at this job. Even between the three of them, Tony was still the least depressed and the least worried about the planet. He eventually found some weird plate whose markings were in a strange language which didn't even match up with any of the ancient human languages... the plate almost seemed to glow with a golden light, which really helped when Tony was studying the markings on it. Then he remembered something that the astrologists were going on about, the markings that were apparently found on the planetoid. He remembered when one of them showed him the markings, and, looking at the plate, they were a near-perfect match. Tony wasted no time in running back to the lab and handing off the plate with instructions to give it to the government, instructions which were followed immediately, and soon enough, Tony saw his plate on the tip of a missile. He figured that he has done enough for one day, so he drove back to his tent at the dig site to catch some sleep, possibly as a hero. Something ended up waking him up in the middle of the night, and Tony watched as the sky lit up as if it were noon, though, he had to cover his ears once the odd scream started. The day after that, everything went weird. He started off my heading out of his tent, and backed away at the sight of a huge, metallic, humanoid creature, as well as a dragon. Neither of these things existed yesterday, and now two of them had found their way to the site. Tony didn't have a gun, and on top of that felt kinda weird, so he simply warned them to stay back as he continued backing away from them, himself. He somehow backed into a mine cart, and fell into it as it, being pushed forwards by Tony, headed down the dangerous tracks... of course, with those creatures outside, Tony was pretty certain that this, even if it was from an old, abandoned mine, was the safer route.
Powers: Tony can manipulate the ground, as well as any small to medium sized rocks, even being able to shape them as he pleases. He can also create some sort of weird light, which seems capable of damaging others... he can also use this light to heal allies. While his wings are too small for him to fly, they are big enough to act as a parachute if he ever falls. He is also quite agile, and is pretty good at evading attacks, and his claws are somewhat useful for close-quarters combat.
Weaknesses: Tony is rather weak to darkness-based magic, as well as fire-based attacks. His feathers also don't really do a good job of protecting him from physical attacks.
Other: Ironically, he's also afraid of heights, despite his wings.
Name: Elena Letendre
Gender: Female
Species:Dragon
Age: 22
Appearance: Elena is a 2 legged dragon with dark blue scales all around her body, a large long tail with a spike at the end. She also have 2 front limb used for arms. She his about human size, just a bit higher. She had a large neck as well as 1 horn on her nose. Her eyes are of a deep light blue color, and her wings are rather large. Her underbelly has ligher blue scale coloring . She also has a half broken moon necklace around her neck.
Bio:
Where to start… Elena never knew her real parents. She had been adopted at a very young age by a loving mother and father. She never knew what happen to her real family, only that they supposedly were not ready to have a child yet and that she was put into adoption soon after because of this. So she had lived with her adoptive family for as long as she could remembered, thinking of them as her real family.
In this family, there were her mother and father, as well as her older brother, who would always get trouble at school. He though that school was useless, and wanted to explore, live life to its fullest. Elena’s parents always tried to make him understand that he had to be good at school if he wanted a good way of life… but it was no use… He would not listen, and would cause quite some yelling and anger in the house.
Elena, on her side, would always listen at school, be a attentive daughter, but was seeing more and more her brother hanging out with some shady characters. People that you did not want to mess with. That was when she was 14 and her bother 16. She was worried about him and would tell her parents, but this caused her bother to be mad at her, telling her to mind her own business and that it was his life. She only wanted him to understand also. Her parents always looked at her highly compare to her brother, and it seemed that because of this, his brother did not care anymore of what his parents though. Rebellious to say the least.
Her life continued on normally until the age of 19, when her bother suddenly disappeared. They did not know what happen, or where he went. It was as if he had disappeared in thin air, no news about him or anything. Her parents tried to find him and talk to him, but with no luck. Because of this, Elena felt a deep concern. Even if he and her never really got along too much, they were brother and sisters, even if she was adopted…
After this, day after day she searched, trying to find clues over the internet and such. She had to find him… she had to see what happen to him. She searched, did her own detective case, but with no luck. He was gone, and they did not know what happened…
That is until the age of 21, when a mysterious package arrive in the mail for her. No address and no return postage. She opened it, only to see half a necklace, one that her bother made a long time ago, one of those days that he actually cared of his family when they were younger. Inside, a message saying that he was sorry, and that one day they might meet back again… She stares at the necklace for a long hour. He was still alive… but where was he... Her parents told her that it was no use even if he was alive, that he was lost, but she knew otherwise.
After all the years of studies in tourism, she decide that it was time. She setted out, searching the world, going place to places, searching for her lost brother, necklace on her neck. One day… one day she might find him.
Then… the day that everyone changed, she had been transformed into a dark blue scaled dragon… A beast of legends. She did not know how… she did not understand why… but when she saw the chaos that happened, she knew that the world if nothing were to be done. Then she was suddenly worried about her parents, and headed back home quickly, flying as fast she could, avoiding everyone she could. She was lucky cause work made her go somewhere close to her old home
When she arrived though, the only thing she saw was her house in rubble, with strange creatures lurking, staring at her. She felt watched… and holded her necklace close to her. Something then walked toward her, but Elena was too worried, seeing the shadows moving towards her. She then instinctively let out a dark bolt and flew away from the place, too worried about what might happen if she stayed. The world had become too weird, and her mind was too confused. Where were her parents, what happen to them? She did not know, and flew away… She had to know what she would do next… Or else this new world might be the end of her
Powers: Elena is able to use Darkness magic as well as Water magic. Currently she is able to make dark bolts as well as controlling shadows slightly entangle something, as well as creating water bubble shields and water jets.
Weaknesses: Unfortunately for her, she is not very resistant to lightning, as well as being terrified of it. She also is not too strong with physical hits.
Other:Nope.

Age: 24
Appearance:
- Physical - body of a large gorilla with the head of a bull, wings of a bird and a snake for a tail. It is covered with dark brown fur on its body and head, he has 1 foot long horns on his head and bone like protrusions along both for-arms both of which are a jet black in colour, the snake’s tail is scaled in brown shades.

Bio:
The life and times of one Jacob Mc-Knoll is not the epic journey of a hero but rather the dull and boring life of you everyday man, that was until the mist fell across the planet and changed not only him the whole of the world. Jacob’s story begins like so many others with his place in the family, he was the middle child of 3 with an older brother and a younger sister to round out the group, this resulted in him being passed over for most things and leaving him to his own devices when it came to working things out. In his mid-teens he got some of the attention he missed from his earlier life be way of an academic award for his high skills with science and mathematics, though even this was glanced over by his parents, this skill would be what drove Jacob to much of his future goals and work.
After graduating his high school with minimal stress and damage Jacob accepted an invitation to a major university to study under the guidance of the head science professor, this professor was named Practis and was renounced for his theory on atmospheric weather analysis and future control, Jacob studied under Practis for the next 5 years before he graduated with his degree. It was then that the world was shaken with the news about the rouge planetoid heading there way and the attempts to stop it, in fact Jacobs mentor was one of those called in in the attempt to figure out what the planetoid was, while Jacob himself was setting about discovering a way to generate controllable lightning for research into manipulating the weather.
That was when everything changed, with the last attempt to destroy the planetoid only hours away Jacob decided that if he was to die it would be doing what he loved and once more returned to his lab, it was while there that the final destruction and collapse of the planetoid occurred covering the world in the mist; it was this mist that changed him into the beast he is now as well as stripped him of much of his intelligence though strangely enough it granted him the ability to wield the powers of the sky just as he had dreamed before the mist.
Powers:
- Flight from the wings
- Poisonous venom from the snake, can be ‘spit’ when needed
- element control, limited to basic manipulation of the air and lightning elements
Weaknesses:
- Poor fine motor skills
- loss of majority of intelligence
- Prone to bouts of anger and rage
Other:
- associate of the black knights order, this group of individuals are a loose knit group who through the use of force and power are trying to return law to the lands
Name: Connor Stark
Gender: Male
Species: Golem
Age: 32
Appearance: Connor's height grew exponentially after his transformation, moving from 5"7 to almost 20"2, roughly 5" taller than the average golem. He is a large, bulky barrel-chested golem, who's body is mostly made up of various different sizes of rock. His limbs are made up of linking boulders, starting small and growing larger as they reach his hands and feet. Connor's feet and abdomen are smaller than his upper body and hands, adding to his already massive appearance. A light moss grows mostly along the rocks linking along as his hands and feet, and some around his back and head area. He has a protruding jaw, with seemingly dark grey areas for his eyes. Upon opening his mouth, he appears to have small, pebbly teeth. Due to being the size of a telephone pole, Connor doesn't wear clothes. In one hand, he usually holds some sort of a make-shift weapon, such as a small tree or a stop sign.
Bio:
I'm coming home.
Connor Stark's life was one of relative ease. He was born into a small, rainy coastal town, to two healthy parents and into a middle-class lifestyle. Never would Connor have to struggle with poverty, or live his life out with only one parent. He lead a quiet and polite life, as was the Stark tradition. Connor was home-schooled in a large, stark white house, rarely being exposed to other children or any of the like. Connor didn't have much experience with others around his age, so he didn't gain much social skills from his childhood, whereas he should've been talking and making friends around his age. He learned the fundamentals of physics, science, history, and other subjects. In other words, Connor Stark had a very average childhood. It would be the most boring childhood anyone would have to suffer through. Connor should've continued his sheltered life. He could've used his education to get to an average college, get a desk job, and continue on with a couple of kids and a wife. But the sheltered child decided he wanted to stray from his path, and become something else, moving on from the age old tradition. It would turn out to be one of the best decisions he could've made.
Connor Stark graduated from the state college, and got his diploma and gained a degree in carpentry, moving on to become one. Connor never moved from the coastal town, despite some bad childhood memories there. When he started his own carpentry business, he struggled with money for a long time, before meeting his soon to be wife. After they married, she helped to support them, and allowed them to just make it in the world. Together, they had two kids. A young boy, named Nathan, a big fan of baseball. And his older sister, Ellie, who was great with school. They made a great family together, even if they did struggle with financial problems. Connor Stark made sure to keep an eye out for any other business opportunities beside being a carpenter, to try to ease the load on his wife and bring in some cash. It was always tough for him, being self-employed. Connor Stark still remembers the night he got the family computer. He had been "discovered," apparently. He found a major job opportunity in the industrialism world that would greatly help him and his family out.
The job had an absolutely great pay. It was for a company called Phonetix, and the work didn't seem bad. However, there was one main problem with the business venture; the city's headquarters were almost on the other end of the country. It would take ages to get there by car, which was more cheap, but shorter by plane, but much more expensive. Connor would have to be away from his family for about two months before returning for a week before going back to Phonetix. It would be a long trip there. For a while, he argued with himself on whether he should go or not. For one, it would greatly help the family out with all of their financial problems. But for another, he would only get to see his family once a week every two months. However, his family seemed to completely support his decision to go there. And after a while, he finally went. He packed up some valuables, he gathered some money and food, and tearfully headed off to the airport. Connor bought a ticket and hopped on. After a short while there, he arrived in the big city, where he could take his job offer. Connor would describe this as about the time things began to go horribly, horribly wrong.
Within two days at the city, Connor learned of the impending apocalypse in a short day. Every channel was playing it. He almost immediately rushed to the airport, only to find all of the flights blocked. It seemed all of the attendants and pilots would rather stay home with their families than stay at work. After all, why would money matter when you would be reduced to ashes in a couple of long hours? Connor became depressed and just angry. Why did he have to be stuck here, in this stupid city, trying to scrounge out a living for himself when none of it even mattered? The worst part was that when the meteor hit, he wouldn't get to be with his family to experience the world's end with them. Connor spent his last hours pondering life, sitting on a grassy knoll in a nearby park, hidden under a tree's shade. Connor remembered his last few moments well. It was roughly midnight, and the dark city sky was cloudy and plain. Not a single star was visible. But Connor knew that somewhere in the dark knight sky, hidden behind a cloud, the meteor was rushing forth at that very moment to decimate them all. And Connor felt at peace. And then a great light flashed out and a massive sound broke the silence and Connor was knocked out.
When Connor awoke, he was surrounded by strange creatures. A scaly, emerald reptilian beast, with ruby eyes snorting smoke. A small raccoon, with a green light playing around it's eyes. An amorphous, blue, transparent blob. Connor screamed and backed up against a wall, but he noticed something was odd with his voice. It felt lower, and more gravelly. It had more of a rough edge to it, and he sounded more gristly than he should've been. Something was wrong with Connor's hands, too; rather than flesh and muscle, there was rock and moss. Connor soon learned of what had happened, according to some of the still sentient beings roaming the area. The meteor was detonated; however, a great shroud of mist had set in over the land, causing all humans and animals to morph into strange mythical beasts. Dragons, Chimeras, and many other species had taken over the land. Apparently, most electrical items had been completely broken due to the explosion of the meteor, too. Connor's mind immediately raced to his family, still waiting in their town, still waiting for him. What did they think? What would happen? Were they still..? Connor decided on one thing, however; he would find them.
Connor began his long journey home the same day he morphed into the golem. He would have to travel across a country filled with anarchy, and depression, and madness. However, Connor swore one thing, that kept him going.
He would come home.
Powers:
Strength - Connor's durable, rocky surface and great size allows him to be much more able than the regular man. He has great strength; he can rip certain from the ground with relative ease, and shove cars aside as if they were tumbleweeds. His durable, dense outer body is extremely tough, withstanding to most simple claw and tooth attacks. It seems almost all physical attacks slide off of his body.
Flexibility - Despite Connor's dense, rocky exterior, his limbs are surprisingly flexible and fluid. This is due to him having numerous rocky joints in his arms and legs. His arms are longer than his legs. Using this to his advantage, he can swing them into his foes when they can't reach him, similar to that of a gorilla or a monkey. When moving from place to place, he moves relatively like a gorilla, using his arms and knuckles to propel his body forward.
Ordinary - While Connor is not too experienced in the realm of magic, he does have one type that he uses often. Ordinary is Connor's most basic form of attack, which is essentially all the physical ones. Kicking, punching, smashing, and the like fall under this category. While Connor does have few basic spells, he has yet to learn them, instead preferring the more brutish, simple physical attacks.
Weaknesses:
Water - Water is Connor's Achilles' Heel. His great strength and durability have several great downsides to them - one in that they greatly add to his heaviness. In water, Connor will sink like a stone, which he technically is. He can't even go near most forms of large bodies of water. Rain is not a problem, but massive, great spurts of water can cause him much pain. He also has a great fear of water; if he had to cross a bridge to get over a river, he'd go around.
Slow - Connor is extremely slow. At his fastest sprint, he can go at about the same pace as a light jogger. The slowness results in a lot of problems. For one, Connor can't escape a battle as easily as he would be able to do before. He can't run away. He has to face whatever challenges him. For another, it greatly gets in the way of him journeying home. It's almost impossible to walk miles upon miles to get home when you can only walk slightly less than a mile per hour.
Heavy - Connor's heaviness is a great problem to consider. Most small, wooden bridges he can't cross without completely breaking them. Sometimes, while walking down the road, he treads on a lighter chunk of asphalt. The lighter chunk of asphalt usually leads to his foot smashing into the road, and him being unable to get it out for several minutes. In reality, his heaviness is actually most of his water problem, but he still has a unshakable fear of water.

Name: Ralph Ivey
Gender: Male
Species: Phoenix
Age: 32
Appearance: Ralph is around the average size for his species. His neck is rather long, and he has a slightly larger wingspan than most birds his size. Bright red feathers cover most of his body, with a few slightly darker feathers on his wings and tail. He also has a black crest on his head.
Bio: Ralph's early years weren't anything out of the ordinary. He lived with his parents, both of which had stable careers. He managed to get good grades, and didn't get in trouble too often. He was an honor roll student in high school, and was on most of the school's sports teams. He eventually graduated from teacher's college, and ended up as a substitute teacher for several years. He then got a permanent job as a high school Phys. Ed teacher, at the same high school he used to go to.
Everything was going fine for about five years after that, but then strange things started happening. People were turning into creatures from myths and legends. There were some Dragons and Gryphons roaming around, as well as some creatures that he'd never seen before - giant blobs, for instance. He himself had turned into a Phoenix, and he also gained the ability to shoot fire (He nearly lit his house on fire when he discovered this).
Upon leaving his home, he saw the chaos that was going on around him. It was as if everyone had completely lost their minds. He decided the city was the worst place to be at a time like this. Leaving everything behind, he got himself as far away from there as possible. Once he had gotten away from the anarchy of the city, the rest of his journey was rather easy. He is currently living in a wooded area, and although he can still see buildings if he flies high enough, he still hasn't run into anybody since he left.
Powers: He can create and manipulate fire and lava, although he rarely uses the latter because of how difficult it is to control. For now, he can only shoot small fireballs at an opponent, and create very small amounts of lava, but he has a feeling that his powers will improve over time.
Weaknesses: He prefers to fight at long ranges, and for a good reason. Once the enemy manages to get close enough, he'll have a lot of trouble hitting them with his magic attacks. Since he isn't too good with physical attacks, he won't be able to do much at close range.

Name: Alexander "Sandy" Bridge
Gender: Male
Species: Gryphon
Age: 38
Appearance: Standing a mere meter (3.3') tall at the shoulder, Sandy's lithe frame is clearly built more for outright speed than any kind of endurance. But then that comes with the territory when you appear to be built from parts of a Peregrine Falcon and a Cheetah. The contrast between his golden eyes and his darker grey rear plumage causes the eyes to seem to shine out of the darkness, while the whiter chest feathers - intended to camouflage the falcon in flight - serve no such purpose as they give way to the black-ringed golden fur of the cheetah hind end.
While he sometimes still wears his lab coat - trimmed at the bottom, and with patches removed for the wings to fit through - he has difficulty finding apparel to fit, though he seems to care far less than he used to - a psychological change to go along with the physiological ones, perhaps? He also keeps a rain coat modified in a similar fashion for those days when the weather is too miserable to fly.
Bio: There isn't much to be said about Sandy's life prior to what is commonly referred to as the aversion of the Apocalypse. He was always a good student, though he kept mostly to himself - though a good all around student, he excelled particularly in fields relating to Biology. He wanted to know what made things tick, from a genetic level, to a cellular one to an organic one. Learning all he could about all manner of creatures became his passion, over the years, one that drove him to continue his studies, even after achieving his PhD. at the age of twenty seven from the University of West Metropolis, who eventually granted him tenure as a Professor for his knowledge, which allowed him to retain unlimited access to their laboratory facilities.
Sandy was never one to believe in any kind of doomsday scenario. He knew that life would always find a way to survive, even in seemingly impossible scenarios, and this would be no different; if humanity were wiped off the face of the Earth, it would simply be to pave the way for something new. As such, he was in the labs continuing his research on the genetic diversity between certain insect subspecies at the time of the Pulse. There was a horrendous, albeit brief cacophony that stirred him from him findings, accompanied by a bright flash visible still through the shuttered window; the lab equipment, the lights, everything else shut down moments later. At first, Sandy thought it would be a normal power outage, but the minutes passed without the building's generators kicking in. The lab's automatic doors had been sealed from the outside. Until someone came along, he was trapped. Hours passed into the night as he grew more and more weary, his findings already recorded via pen and paper rather than the computer that usually served the task, and still no one came. Eventually, his fatigue overcame him, but not before he noticed a fine white haze. He had thought, at the time, that it was simply sleep deprivation getting to him.
If only he had known then.
Powers: His light frame is swifter than most, though only for brief periods at a time, and he is fully capable of flight; perhaps more so than others of his kind due to his comparatively light frame, as well as canny use of what little control of the Air he has. He theorizes that with the right materials that he would be able to use this to generate a fair amount of Static Electricity, though he has refrained from experimenting with this, as the exercise drains him terribly.
Weaknesses: As mentioned, excessive use of 'magic,' (though as a scientist, he is loathe to call it that) leaves him sluggish and weary, leaving him vulnerable to attacks it would normally be child's play for him to dodge. His small frame and light bone structure are highly susceptible to physical strikes, and his feathers don't do much to pad a blow.
Other: Having worn glasses for most of his human life, Sandy thoroughly appreciates the keen new eyes that the change has granted him. The talons, on the other hand, he could do without; while sharp and imposing, they lack some of the fine motor capabilities that his hands require for a large portion of his work.
Name: Miles Hall
Gender: Male(?)
Species: Amorphous
Age: 23
Appearance: Somewhat similar to a dragon, with 4-digit digitigrade feet (a toe up further on the feet) and hands, both with seamless claws. As well as back-facing horns protruding from the sides of his head. Being an amorphous blob, Miles has two main colours; black and red, although mainly black. His chin to underside of tail is red, whereas the rest of his body is black. Interestingly, he's barely translucent, if not appearing to be a shiny, wet solid. He lacks wings for a dragon, which is particularly odd (he can make them, although it's not like he's gonna be flying anytime soon without assistance). In the event he does gain wings, the membrane (not of the cells, but membrane of wings) is red, but the rest of his wings are black. His tail is nothing special, although the top has a grey ridge that goes from tip to Miles' back.
Bio:
Miles had a strange childhood. For one, his original name was Milloon. For two, his parents weren't the protective types. For three... well, it was good. Bullies didn't care too much for Miles, and nobody would pass false rumours about him. Good grades followed with isolation from others.
Only a few bits of his childhood was bad. Like his mother's fate in a factory. Or his uncle attempting to murder his father. Or the time he got cancer.
He was 20 when news struck him. He felt weak one day, and collapsed to the confusion of his mates at university. Richard, being the friend he was called an ambulance. Unfortunately, he would never step foot inside the same room as Miles', because he was kept at the same hospital for being mentally unstable. For some reason, he was able to avoid authorities for years and keep his condition secretive.
Friends and family would continue visiting Miles in his deathbed. His uncle under the watch of officers. His dad in a wheelchair. Richard himself when he managed to escape, just to get some time with Miles. He managed to defy the odds for two years, until the cancer really got terminal. He watched slowly as the life began seeping out of everything he saw. Suddenly the whole world almost became colourless. Time zoomed by. He didn't care when it turned out he had an amoeba trashing his body, still waiting for death to come. And he never did, because he was possibly just a jerk to him.
Time eventually stopped. Miles watched the television placed across his room, coughing weakly and barely able to feel anything. His friend Richard peeked through the door's window before being tackled by security, because he was holding a 'knife' in his hand (really just a syringe without a needle). Miles sighed as the planetoid made its way to the Earth, thinking about whether the disease or destruction of the planet get to him first.
One day, Richard managed to break out for the seventh time in three years. With a syringe in his hand, he knocked out security as he loomed over Miles' sick body. Miles told him to go away as he wanted to die in peace, but his wish was never fulfilled. Richard instead jabbed a needle in his chest, where the amoeba was located. Before being tackled by security for the twentieth time.
Two days later, Miles was recovering well. The amoeba was contained in a cyst, thanks to the efforts of Richard. Who apparently 'faked' his condition just so he could work on a treatment. However, with the cure came despair; Miles had wasted his life. He didn't go out and tried skydiving, or even took the time to step out his room. He just played games all day in his bed, going on the internet on breaks and viewing the television for news.
And then came the day where the planetoid ended it all. Not with a deep impact, but with something more sinister.
Powers:
Absorption - Miles can engulf organic enemies and absorb the entity into his mass (or at least the organic bit of the enemy). The law of conservation of mass applies in an obvious way; mass that the entity began with will equal the mass Miles gains. This works automatically on things much smaller than Miles, although there tends to be trouble covering an entity bigger than himself. As a result of this, Miles is able to 'purify' things of infections and such, by just absorbing them. Due to a lack of higher brain functions when unconscious, Miles automatically absorbs his enemies when they accidentally tread on him or something, although he receives a shock and wakes up to witness his doing. A blob bigger than Miles will absorb him, whereas Miles can absorb blobs smaller than him (which is done automatically, so freeing the blob will be impossible) and vice versa.
Morph - Can squeeze into tight spaces, disguise (colouration or texture may be slightly off), split himself, create tentacle spikes/whips, etc. As a result of this, he has near-immunity to physical harm.
Adhesion - Can stick to walls and living entities. He can still quickly move around, although gravity may slow him down slightly. Of course, this works rather efficiently in slowing down enemies.
Combustion - Can set self on fire, which has many uses. Overuse will completely burn out Miles, leaving a few dry, static cells that can be re-hydrated to revive him.
Regeneration - Miles grows over time, being a 'hyper-evolved amoeba' that is now a colony of cells. Regeneration speed correlates with how much mass Miles has gained, due to mitosis. Thankfully, this is quite slow, even if he does become a giant from absorbing a giant entity.
'Assimilation'/Conversion - Miles can decide whether to add the entity he absorbed to his mass, or 'assimilate'/convert it and allow a degree of freedom. A bit hard to explain... say, if he chooses 'assimilation'/conversion the entity still lives, albeit a part of Miles. Their head (if they have one) will appear on Miles' body, on either the left or right, similar to a chimera and hydra. What makes the comparison stronger is that they control a certain side of his body, depending on which side they grow on. If they're split from Miles' body, they become independent and begin regrowing as their former species, although as a slime form. They possess all the abilities they formerly had, while also possessing Miles' abilities. This is primarily useful for reviving recently dead figures, or as a back-up for accidentally absorbing allies.
Dehydration - Not really a power or anything, but ought to be added. Miles can temporarily revert into a normal dragon, as demonstrated in the original Dragon's Awakening. Despite the fact things such as swords and guns may get stuck in his body, they won't harm him (unless it's directly supposed to, such as a bomb). Not only that, but he still retains a bit of adhesion and flexibility. Expect a slight jiggling effect when he pulls his feet off the floor, after standing for some time. He can be harmed quite severely in this state, as physical attacks may impact him, although magic is less effective. Wounds while taken in this state are recovered when Miles reverts back into his slime form, including (physical) damaging curses, as Miles is impervious to physical damage in his slime form. Often, he's dehydrated to his dismay (and in fact can only happen accidentally), after experiencing dry weather or suffering from mutations.
Weaknesses:
Frost - Very cold temperatures over time can damage Miles, not unlike a human with hypothermia.
Heat - Ditto, although fire can cause direct and severe damage.
Medication - Whilst technically not a weakness, certain ones can cause slight 'burns' and stinging. Alcohol is an unusual case; it can get Miles drunk easily, but it won't sterilize him or anything.
Magic - Deals more damage than expected on Miles.
Salt - Not a weakness at all, despite claims that it would horrifically maim Miles. It's not known what his species is made out of, but osmosis strangely doesn't occur.
Other: I dunno.
Elements:
Fire - Should be obvious as to what this is.
Water - Again, should be obvious
Earth - This is referring to boulders, and earthquakes, not plantlife
Air - This one should be pretty obvious as well.
Lava - A very powerful element that's a combination of fire and earth... it can easily hurt friends as much as it does foes
Lightning - A combination of fire and air, can be difficult to control, but it's not as bad as lava.
Nature - THIS one is referring to plantlife, also healing.
Ice - While I'd put a description here, it should be obvious.
Ordinary - The go-to non-elemental element, most physical attacks fall under this element, as well as a few spells
Obscurity - A rare non-element that is focused on summoning objects using something such as a brush or pencil. It's usually quite exhausting to use, and isn't too great when you first use it.
Void - The rarest of all the non-elements. Those who can use these powers are usually VERY resistant to magic... not so much other non-elements, however.
Darkness - A shadowy non-element that's almost as common as a common element... however, those who use this are usually very good at using magic.
