"Well I was only asking." Aoba stuck his tongue out in return and then looked at Gerard. "Well, he said he owed me...I don't know if interest is what you would call it." He gave a small shrug and then continued. "I would think so... He beat up three demons on his own." Father Gerard leaned against the wall and nodded. "And, well, he said he's the son of Satan so, I think that would be a good idea as to why..." Aoba was aboutto askif Kuro could take him to the library, but caught Gerard's surprise. Immediately, the priest's eyes widened and he nearly stumbled over.

"Ex- Excuse me?" Gerard coughed. 'Kuro is the son of- well this has gotten a lot more. . . Wow.' He ran fingers through his hair, but was unsure of how to respond to it. Aoba gave a confused look.
"Was I not suppose to say that...? S-Sorry." He looked over to see Kuro laying down. He hoped he wasn't mad for telling the priest his status, not sure if it was a bad thing to tell him. Maybe Kuro didn't hear, or he just hadn't reacted, but the demon asked a question pertaining to the farm.

"Oh, well of course. Chickens, cows, pigs, sheep, turkeys, and I do believe that's it for a starter. Anything else you may want, feel free to ask. As for seeds, you'll be getting an assortment of vegetables, fruit, and wheat. There was no specifics considering it was a lot of small packaging. You'll also get tools, and a wagon- of course." He looked at his pocket watch and then sighed. It was time for him to leave again. "It's time for me to go. I shall visit again some other time."

Aoba nodded, a little less saddened by his departure this time. "Alright." Was all he said before waving with a smile. Once the priest was gone, Aoba wandered to the couch and looked over and down at Kuro curiously.

The demon did indeed notice when the priest practically swallowed his tongue upon finding out that Kuro is one of the sons of Stan, but he was more focused on the tone in Aoba's voice when he talked about being owned. 'Well, he didn't sound upset, but I think I'll have to explain later more about that. . .' A smile splits his lips as he hears the variety of animals that are going to be delivered. It grows even wider when he realizes just how much worth they are going to have to get done today to make them all fit properly. 'I think there's a hen house and fenced off yard behind the barn for the chickens, but there's nowhere for the turkeys. I'll have to drag Little Mouse to town for supplies, I can't use up all my energy making this stuff. We'll need to build a pig pen, and that fence around the grazing area needs some minor work to make sure the sheep and pigs do not escape'

He doesn't notice as he begins to hum happily at the thought of all the work, and all the time spent teaching his little angel. 'It's still early, before noon, but if I weren't the son of Satan, there's no way we'd get done before the delivery tomorrow' He hums a little tune, something he's heard on the radio a few times, and as he reaches the end of the book he lets out a sigh. His eyebrow raises as the door closes behind the priest. 'Oh, totally missed that he was heading out. . .Huh' He rolls his eyes then as a shadow falls over him Kuro lays back a bit so he can look up into the curious angel's face. Hanging half off the couch he smiles up happily at Aoba. Reaching out he gently takes the boy's hand and pulls him down close so he can whisper into his ear.

“I've never told anyone this, but I adore animals Little Mouse.” He chuckles lightly, letting Aoba go so he can stand up. Shaking himself off he looks around the room. “We're going to have to go to town for supplies, there I s a lot to do before they get here. From what I recall about the grounds, there is a lot of repair work to do, and you don't even have a yard or house for the turkeys yet. We'll have to build one. . .” He chuckles, his grin still firmly in place. Turning to Aoba he pets his head gently. “So, did he give you any money or am I going to have to come up with my own money for supplies? I mean, I can, but I think you will feel better if you do it. Oh, and don't worry, I know a lot about construction, so we should have no trouble building that you need.” He keeps his smile supportive as he waits for the angel to reply.

Aoba blinked and then stood straight once more. He adored animals? The little angel wasn't exactly sure if he meant it the way he thought. Aoba adoring cute animals like puppies and kittens was like him cuddling and hugging them, but Kuro didn't seem like one to be cuddly hug an animal. And he was a demon so. . . Aoba shook the thought away, not knowing why he had even bothered to think it over. It was a lot less important than the tasks at hand. "We're going to go to town?"

Aoba's eyes lit up with a mixture of excitement and nervousness. He'd finally get to see regular humans and how they interacted, but he was also going to be out in a populated area where anything could happen. But, he put his trust in Kuro so he pushed the indecisive worry away. As Kuro listed things to do, Aoba carefully reached down and looked at the book. He would start reading it when they returned from getting supplies. "Oh, okay. Well, we should get started. It sounds like it'll take all day." He looked at Kuro as he questioned about money. 'Money...Money...Oh right!' He remembered, he had put the money in his faded pair of pants until he could find a nicer spot to put it.

Aoba pulled the clipped money out and handed it to Kuro. "Father Gerard said that this should last the month, and I guess I have to worry about time since I'm, um mortal and all...?" It still wasn't comfortable to say outloud. And he said it as more of a question, unsure of what else he would have to worry about besides eating and working. He nodded to the rest of what Kuro said and walked to the door. "What are we going to carry all the stuff in one we get it? It sounds like we are getting a lot. Unless the town isn't too far away, is it?" He questioned and looked out the hole in the door.

All seemed quiet outside, and he wondered if Kuro had scared them off for good... at least those three. While he waited, Aoba went back to the couch and opened the book to give the first few pages a decent read. "Do you think we could stop to get a few new clothes as well? I don't really want to wear the same thing everyday. . ."

Kuro smiles at the obvious excitement in his little angel's eyes at the thought of going to town. 'Well, at least he's not scared. With as depressed as he's been, and the attacks, I was afraid he'd not want to leave the house' He eyes the wad of cash Aoba hands him, the clipped pile of hundreds making him blink a few times before he begins thumbing through the crisp bills. 'There's over two thousand dollars in this clip. . .I thought the church folks were always poor. I mean, aren't they always on the TV asking for donations?' Kuro sighs and shrugs, chalking it up to Aoba being a special case, the money most likely provided by earth bound angels. Those angels, the ones who spend years upon years on earth often times get jobs, and not needing the cash, donate it to church charities.

Kuro mumbles something about wastefulness but does his best to cover it up with a cough. “Uh, bringing it back? Oh, well, there's bound to be a delivery company in town, we can just rent a truck to haul it back for us. Those are cheap in these parts.” He watches Aoba glances outside through the hold in the door and bites his lip, realizing that the angel is most likely still worried about demon attacks, However at the comment about clothes Kuro smiles wide. “Yes, we can pick up something for you Little Mouse. I'm sure we can find something perfectly suited for you.” His smile is a little less than innocent but he covers it by scratching his nose.

Once his hand comes down he pulls the book away from Aoba and tosses it on the couch. Wrapping an arm around his waist he leads the angel out the door and begins walking them towards the town. “Since our wings are not part of the reality that humans understand, clothing made by them does not seem to be bothered by them. It was odd the first time I put on a shirt and it seemed to go right through my wings. They will however bump into other things, and I have no idea why. . .” Kuro really does not know how that works, but for now he's just glad that he can dress Aoba however he wants, or so he assumes since the little angel has no idea how to dress like a human.

"Great." Was his response to getting the new clothes. Though there was an odd feeling about Kuro's intentions, only to push it away as he coughed. Aoba could have been assuming things. He watched as the book was removed from his hands and gave a pout, only for an arm to wrap around his waist. He looked down, blushing lightly but accepted it. And they were off to the town. "How odd. I knew humans couldn't see my wings...besides the priest,  but I didn't know they could phase through clothing here." It was too weird to comprehend, so he only accepted it.

They were getting close to the border where Kuro said not to go, and he held on to his arm gently. He looked around, never slowing his pace. He was still excited to adventure away from home. He had been cooped up for a day or two so he was glad to get some fresh air. As they began to walk, he hummed softly and continued looking around. It thankfully was a nice day to work. The weather was warm, and the breeze was gentle. "Soo..." Aoba looked around at the seemingly endless road. There was nothing to see, and soon he got bored. His humming had eventually ceased and they walked in silence.

Thirty minutes had passed, or what Aoba deduced as a long time, until he heard the noise of cars and people. "Hey, look, we're here, we're here." Aoba started to take a step ahead, but remembered that he was in unfamiliar territory. He couldn't just run off like he did in heaven. So, he paused and stayed by Kuro's side. He began reading off the signs as they entered the town and curiously watched as people walked past them. He didn't know what it was about them, but humans just seemed so odd... "What're we getting first? The truck?" He said, still looking at everyone else.

One woman walked past, walking her dog with her and it paused to sniff at him and bark happily. It startled Aoba at first, but the woman laughed lightly. "Don't worry, he seems to like you." So, of course the little angel paused and moved away from Kuro to gently pet the dog before she pulled him away. Aoba smiled and then hurried back to the safety of Kuro's side. And once again, his eyes were wondering to the various people around. He looked into a diner they had passed and a happy old couple seemed to smile and wave at him. Blinking, Aoba slowly waved back as he passed.

“Yeah, it's weird. I try not to think about it.” He chuckles lightly as Aoba blushes, his smile once more shifting into something less than a smile expression of happiness. 'He is so cute when it comes to being close to me. I like the reaction, but I hope he's careful about showing that face around others. There are plenty humans, or demons for that matter, who would find him irresistible with that adorable flush. . . .' Those soft little hands grasping at his arm makes him smile wider and he lets out a sigh. He looks to Aoba when his voice trails off, but since he doesn't actually try to engage the demon in conversation Kuro stays silent and just walks with the angel pulled gently against his hip.

When town comes into sight and Aoba almost bounces out of his grasp Kuro tenses, sending his senses out to make sure there are no threats in the area. 'The last thing we need if for him to fall right into a demon's greedy paws just because he doesn't know any better' His chest swells a bit as he stands a little taller, barely glancing as Aoba as he returns to his side. He looks around carefully, his senses working overtime, but after only half a minute he relaxes. 'There's no one, demonic at least, around that would mess with me' He smiles at this and looks down as Aoba questions him. “I think we'll get the supplies first, then order the truck, and while they are loading it we can head over to the cheap clothing store and pick you up some nice stuff. It may be cheap, but it will last you until you can afford better stuff. . .” His voice trails off as he tries to see if there is any way to get internet access in town.

His eyes drift over a coffee shop with a “Wi-fi” sticker in the window and he does a mini fist-pump. 'Yes! A one horse town with wireless, perfect!' His head snaps to the side as Aoba jumps, his body tensing as he becomes hyper alert. However at the sight of the small critter Kuro's eyes soften and he smiles warmly at it. 'Puppy. . .' He's careful to stand back away from it, not wanting it to act up while Aoba pets it, but he turns to watch it walk off with it's owner before slipping his arm back around his little angel's waist. “Puppies are so cute. . .” He coughs lightly, pretending he didn't really just say that in front of someone other than Aoba, preferring to keep his soft side a secret.

He chuckles at the angel as he seems to feel awkward around the human populace, but after a few minutes he pulls the smaller male into a hardware store. Motioning to shelves filled with all sorts of tools and housing supplies. “This is the stuff we need to look through to find what we need for repairs and construction. Mostly wood and wire, and some tools of course.” As a small town hardware store that caters to mostly farmers, the selection is wide and well stocked. There are only a few people in at this hour, the sales clerk talking to one of her regulars, laughing at something or another. Giving Aoba's hip a squeeze he murmurs, “So, want me to walk you through this, or should I just do the ordering for now and explain it all later?”

Aoba nodded at the plan. "Supplies, truck, and clothes. Got it." He nodded once more in reassurance to himself. Those were things most important and that's what they'd get. He looked up at Kuro when he mentioned cute animals and then laughed softly. "They are. I agree." It was even more amusing that it seemed he had tried to play off that he didn't say anything. With a giggle, Aoba whistled playfully "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone."

Not paying much attention, he stumbled when he was pulled into the store. He quickly gathered himself and looked around to where- well, the entire store. He began to look at everything on the shelves, giving each a meticulous look. "I think it would be better for you to just order now and explain later. Don't worry, I learn fast, I'll be able to catch on." He said, still looking at the stuff. He didn't notice that he had gravitated away from Kuro as he was reading them.

"You look a little lost kid. You need any help?" Aoba looked up, noticing one of the humans picking up something above him.

He stepped backwards and blinked. He was only slightly confused towards the kid remark. 'Weird human,  I'm older than you. . .' "Oh, um, no. No thank you." He quickly shook his head and watched the male chuckle, but nod.

"Alright kid. The sales clerk is pretty friendly so, if you need help just go up to her." The male still assumed he needed help, but decided to leave him be. Aoba quickly made his way back to Kuro's side, and looked at what he was getting. He wasn't going to get used to random strangers coming up to him, even if they were nice.

With a little nod Kuro watches as Aoba wanders off a bit. He keeps half an eye on him as he scoops up an order sheet on a clipboard and begins wandering over to the wood section. He marks down on the sheet the kind and amount of wood they will need, followed by the paint and rain proofing. He knows they don't have time to paint right now, but it will eventually be on the to-do list. As he reaches the tool section he Turns to look as Aoba as he shuffles back over, giving a man further along a funny look.

'I think he's really not that social. I keep getting the feeling that it's not just that they are human, but that they keep talking to him that's got him so jumpy' He chuckles, a warm look in his eyes as he gives his Little Mouse's forehead a light peck. The action draws a bit of attention but as Kuro goes back to filling out the form the others in the shop go back to what they were doing. He looks up at a row of hemmers and asks softly, “So, how is it? Being around humans I mean? I get the feeling you're a bit uncomfortable.”

Kuro listens closely as he marks down the last of the things they will need and makes his way up to the register. Once the woman is free, her sky blue eyes falling on Kuro with a less than approving look, he steps up and hands her the order form still on the clipboard. “I'll be sending a truck over for all this, I can pay now.” She nods, her right hand flying over the buttons on her register while she stares at the order form in her left.

“There will be a service charge for us doing the hauling of course.” She murmurs, finishing all the button pushing and looking up at Kuro.

The demon nods, “Of course.” He pulls out the wad, careful to hide the bulk behind his hand as he pulls out two of the crisp hundred dollar bills. 'This place is cheap, but then again as the only providers in the county for such things, I think they can afford to be' He hands them over and waits for her to make his change. Once she hands it back he gives her another smile and asks politely, “You wouldn't happen to know where the hauling company is? We're new around here you see.” Almost just to get a reaction out of the woman Kuro pulls Aoba against his hip in an obvious fashion and he is not disappointed as the fifty plus red head rolls her eyes and looks away.

“Jerry's is just down the street, go left out of the door and you can't miss it.” She says, her voice laced with distaste but still curtious.

Kuro smiles deviously, his nature showing a little bit in his eyes at her discomfort. “Why thank you miss. I will send the truck here as soon as possible.” Keeping Aoba against his hip Kuro walks out, chuckling a little deviously as they walk out the door. “Man, I love messing with tight wads like that.” He chuckles a little more before quieting down to see if Aoba has anything he wants to say.

Aoba watched as the male walked off and then looked up at Kuro just as he was given a peck on the head. He smiled gently and relaxed some. Though his smile faltered when he sensed the stares. Before he could hide behind Kuro, they went about their business. He sighed and then looked at Kuro again as he asked him a question. "Uncomfortable? Um, kind of. I guess. They are odd. I don't know what it is, but they are. Maybe it's their aura." He shrugged, unsure why he would feel so tense around harmless humans. "I don't know."

He followed Kuro to the register, reading all of the little things in the glass case Kuro made need. He blinked when all of a sudden he was pulled to Kuro's side. "Huh?" Under thr stare of the woman he looked away. Thankfully she didn't stare too long. He looked up to give another confused stare but gave up on it and followed him out the door. "Humans are weird... And what do you mean messing with tight wads?" Apparently he was going to have to learn stuff other than farming as well.

His soul purpose wasn't to just survive, but he actually had to live here. So, he had to actually enjoy himself from time to time. All work and no play would probably kill him before the demons did.

Aoba followed Kuro around although he didn't have much choice seeing that he grabbed him again. They followed the directions and soon enough a big sign directed them to the hauling service. A large old man sat outside, watching people pass in the town. He didn't look very happy, but maybe that was just a normal expression he had, or his wrinkles made him look like he was scowling. When they approached him, he tipped his hat and slowly stood, waiting for them to get close enough so he could greet them.
Aoba noticed the old man give them a curious look, just like the woman at the store. He folded his wings a little more against him.
But they couldn't see them, right?

Kuro can not hold back a chuckle as Aoba asks him about his tight wad comment. “Ah, well, some foolish humans have these views of the world that make them overreact to things that are perfectly natural. Mostly because this one huge storybook a bunch of old fat guys put together a long time ago from a bunch of different people's journals. They try to pass it off as the “Word of God”, but in all honesty, it's just this big book full of both good and bad ideas that the church uses to control people's lives.” As the truck place comes into view Kuro leans in closer to whisper to Aoba.

“See that guy there? He thinks that us being so close to one another is inappropriate, even though angels quite often act the same way with one another. It's not wrong, but some guy way back when thought it was weird so they put it in that book I was talking about.” He chuckles again and squeezes Aoba's hip gently as he stands strait once more. When they are at last within speaking distance Kuro greets the large man, doing his best to hide his distaste for the other's large figure. 'Lay off the Oreos dude!' “Hello sir, we just came from the hardware store, just down the street, and the cashier says you're the man to see about getting our stuff delivered to my dear friend's farm.”

The elderly looking male nods, spitting off the side of his little porch. “Well, that's just spiffy. Well, like I said, our order is down at the store, and they are gathering it as we speak. I said I would send you right over. Oh, and my friend's farm. . .I don't know the address, but it's the first one on the left heading east out of town.”

At this the old man raises an eyebrow. “I din' know anyone moved in t' the old Burbag place. . .” His tone is neutral, but it's obvious by the roughness that he's a life long smoker.

Kuro smiles wide. “Well, now you do! Would you like to discuss price now, or after?”

He spits again. “Afer'. Price depen's on how long th' haul takes, and the work t' unload.” The demon nods at this, a very sound way to run a business in his opinion.

“Very well. We have a little more shopping to do, then we'll be walking back. Shouldn't be more than an hour before we get back. I'm sure it will take at least that long for this whole business, so, we'll see you there!” Kuro's false cheery disposition would be obvious to anyone who's known him for more than an hour and he prays Aoba doesn't hold it against him for any reason. 'It's not like my lying to these people, I'm just using them the way they expect to be used! Things go so much easier if they think you're not an ass. . .I am an ass, but they don't need to know that'

With a light shrug Kuro tips his head towards the man before leading Aoba away towards the earnest cheap clothing store. Behind him the old man shakes his head and spits one last time before heading inside, yelling to one of his workers to get the truck ready. Giving Aoba another squeeze as they walk in the front door he motions to the racks dotting the floor. “Care to fins something you like Little Mouse?”

"Really? They made a book. . . Maybe I should read it." Though, by the sound of it, it didn't seem too accurate. Why would the guy be so upset? "He looks mean." Was his only response to what Kuro had said. Sure to demons and angels, the two being so close togethet may have seemed inappropriate, but humans didn't know what they were. It was another one of those things to ponder over about humans. They were such odd things, and yet angels watched over them and demons played with them, as it was his interpretation.

When they're in range to speak, the first thing he noticed was Kuro's rather chipper demeanor all of a sudden. He wondered what the male was doing, but decided to just watch how it played out. The next thing he noticed was the elderly man's constant spitting. It made Aoba wrinkle his nose in distaste. Without realizing it, he spoke out when he did it the second time. "That's disgusting." His eyes met the old man's and they narrowed making the angel step back some. It looked as though he had some choice words about what Aoba said, but he decided to focus on Kuro who was negotiating business.

The little angel stayed silent for the rest of the negotiation and hurriedly followed Kuro away from the 'Jerry' person. "Find something to wear..." He examined all the clothes, including the old ones he had borrowed from the house. He had been so used to wearing robes. The only other attire he had seen before were the warrior angel's armor. He spotted a few things that caught his attention, only looking at them.

"Help?" Aoba stood on his toes to look over a rack clothes and to Kuro. "I don't know what would...look nice." He went back to looking down at the clothes. He was in the men's section at least, so it was a step. Then he noticed the sizes on each tag. He assumed his size and tried to narrow things down from there, but that was harder than it seemed.

The demon follows slowly behind the angel as the smaller male proceeds to look at every piece of clothing in the store. As they walk he picks up some boxers and socks, things he's sure Aoba will not think about. Tucking the two packs under his arm as he continues his slow trudge on Aoba's heels he stops by the slightly more expensive underwear and looks over some nice thin boxers and after a few seconds of contemplation he grabs a black pair in his size. 'After all, I don't think sleeping in the buff would be the best way to not freak out Aoba. Even if I am sleeping downstairs on the floor. . .In fact, I think that might be a little more disturbing to come across than finding me nude in his bed in the morning. If he finds me in the buff on the floor I'm betting he'd think I'm dead or something'

He giggles slightly at the thought before the angel's soft voice catches his attention. Turning so he can see the smaller male peeking over a rack filled with button up shirts that just scream “Red neck” his eyes bug out a bit as the youngster seems to be contemplating a few of them. 'Yes, help indeed. You really need it. . .' Slipping around the rack he shakes his head softly. “No, not stuff there. You don't have the figure for those.” he murmurs gently. 'Yeah, you're missing the pot belly or non existent ass' That thought causes him to glance down at Aoba's backside and he smiles at the sight of that lovely shape, perfect for his Little Mouse.

Leading Aoba out of the plaid section he stops near a rack with more solid colors. Pulling a few off the rack he holds them up to see how they would look on the angel. He tilts his head back and forth until at last he only has three in his hand, two light blue and one a pleasant shade of mid green, still on hangers of course. “Hold these. . .” he mutters, skirting over to the jeans section. After a few minutes he finds some dark blue and tastefully faded jeans and stacks them on one arm before sliding back over to Aoba. Pointing to a row of stalls at the back of the store. “Those are dressing rooms, they allow you to put on the clothes you want to purchase to see if they fit so you don't have to accidentally buy the wrong size. Why don't you take these, and those, and go try them on? There's mirrors in them too so you will be able to see how you look.”

This store was a little larger than the hardware store, so there were two saleswomen walking about to help customers. Once again, Aoba found himself keeping his distance from them. Kuro had once again pulled him off, this time to another section showing him another section of clothes. He didn't mind it, only rejecting the darker colors like black and a deep shade of red. Though, it seemed Kuro already knew that so it was fine. "Oh. Alright." He said as he was given  clothing. Then it was off to the pants section before Kuro sent him to a dressing room.

"Got it!" Aoba carried his clothes to the back, only to find that the dressing room was locked. "Hm..." He tried two more, though those were locked as well. The last one, a woman called out in annoyance to the disturbance. The angel flushed gently. "My apologies ma'am."

"To get into these fittin' rooms, ya need a key. Shoulda just asked. Here." One of the sales women chuckled as she opened the door for him. "Oh, sorry. And thank you." He mumbled and walked in. The door locked by itself and Aoba looked at himself in the mirror. His eyes narrowed a little as he examined the new messy style his hair had, and then he turned, spreading his wings some. "They got darker... I wonder if Kuro noticed. I may just be seeing things."

He began to change into each item of clothing. First he started with the shirts. He would try on one and examine himself before peeking his head out to show Kuro. Or to tell him that they fit. "They look nice." When he tried on the pants, he did the same thing, showing Kuro and not paying much mind to it. When he was finally done he changed back into the clothes he was originally wearing, pulled up the sleeves and took a few moments to refold the pants and put the shirts back on the hanger.

"Okay! I like these." He kept them in his arms and looked at Kuro. "So what's next?" His stomach growled lightly and his face flushed gently. Well that answered his question. "Can we get food? This hunger thing is more noticeable than I thought. . ."

Kuro stands back from the rooms a bit, knowing he's being a little mean by not telling him about the key thing, but he just can't pass up the opportunity. 'After all, once he gets use to the human realm, stuff like this won't happen any more. I should enjoy his dopiness as long as I can' His hand comes up to cover his mouth, hiding the smile and subsequent silent chuckle as the lady inside the last stall snaps at him. 'He's so adorable when blushing' His hand falls as he admires the soft red color spreading across the angel's cheeks. He lets out a sigh a moment later however when a sales clerk opens one of the stalls for him with her key. 'Ruining my fun. . . .'

Once Aoba vanishes into the dressing rooms Kuro takes a sat on a bench for trying on shoes near to them so he doesn't have to stand while he waits. He's pleasantly surprised when Aoba pops out the first time to show off his shirt. 'Sweet, I get my own little fashion show. You sure know how to treat a guy Little Mouse' He gives a few thumbs us, and even a few cat calls when it comes to the faded jeans, and he chuckles as Aoba takes them in stride, not being deterred from his mission of finding some good clothes.

After the last pair of pants Kuro grabs up some good work boots he's sure will fit the little angel, he'd been eying them in between each little show, and stands up to wait for Aoba to exit. When the little angel comes out with his huge armload of clothing, his big eye looking up at Kuro so innocently as he asks about food Kuro has to swallow hard not to give him a deep kiss. Instead he coughs lightly and takes the clothing from Aoba and makes his way up the the register silently. 'Yeah, my siblings would eat him alive, not to mention what that pack of Incubus that use to tail me all the time to try and catch me off my guard. He really is a treat, even for those who have no interest in him beyond seeing him as a different kind of prey' He sighs, paying the sales clerk and scooping up the bags full of clothes for the little angel.

Once outside he gives Aoba a warm smile and looks around. Pointing with one finger at a diner across the street he murmurs, “That should be good. You can order something and have them pack it up for you.” He gives Aoba a sympathetic look. “I know you're hungry, but we should start walking back to the farm as soon as possible. It's not too far from here, and I'm sure you can hold on long enough to get back.” His arms are preoccupied with the bags otherwise Kuro would give his little angel a hug. Instead he smiles a little wider and leads the way to the diner. Once inside he sets down the bag on the counter by the register and picks up a menu laying nearby. Opening it up he begins looking it over, motioning for Aoba to come over and look with him. “So, what do you feel like?”

Aoba wondered why he was being stared at forbthe brief amount of time he held the clothes. Was he not suppose to ask for food yet? Well, he could have waited but Aoba didn't want to only eat a bunch of apples. It wasn't filling after awhile. The demon took his clothes without answering, so Aoba just decided to wait. He didn't want to bother the other if he couldn't get anything. As he turned, it looked as though Kuro was composing himself. He started to offer to carry the bags, but Kuro was already walking out did. They paused and Kuro pointed to the diner they had passed by. Hearing that he'd have to pack his food, Aoba merely shrugged before walking across.

"I don't mind. I'm not dying so it's okay." He keeps up with Kuro's pace and once he's inside the diner, he reaches to follow in pursuit of grabbing a menu, until Kuro tells them to share. Times were much easier when he was immortal. Things like wouldn't be a problem. But of course, he lost that title do to his innocent- and rather foolish actions. And despite all that from before, he was sitting with the demon that started it all. The thought made Aoba give Kuro a look of . . . Interest? Concern? It was hard to tell the right expression, but the expression faded as his eyes went down to the menu. 'I wonder if they can see me now... Of course they probably only hate me worse now. But, what's done is done. And... Kuro isn't so bad. Scary at times, but he's not so bad.' "Hey,  Kuro?" His eyes studied the menu as he spoke. "Do my wings look darker to you?" His voice had softened so the curious humans didn't overhear.

Still, his eyes stayed fixiated on the menu, reading each one. Most of the stuff he used to eat were fruits. They were only used to replenish. The ones who did normally eat in vast amounts were the warrior angels, and they ate a lot. But even he would get tired of eating nothing but fruits all day. He pointed to the menu, pointing to a few on the breakfast side. But, was ultimately directed to the lunch/dinner side of the menu. The chefs didn't make breakfast after a certain time, so it would be a waste to let him go through it.

Aoba asked about some of the food, like what BLT stood for or what would be best to pack for the trip back home. He questioned what would taste better, and instead of getting a burger and fries, which seemed to be popular, he decided to go with the BLT. The amount of time it took for him to make a decision was long enough to give them a clear way to the front line. A young woman looked at Kuro, giving a small smirk and leaned against the counter. "And what can I do for you cutie?" Her demeanor seemed to change from the friendly and kind register lady to a more flirty and playful one. It seemed she had ignored Aoba completely as he stood there, examining the interaction with confusion and interest.

The human doesn't even know him, but at first glance has been put into some trance of adoration. How odd. I wondee what he'll do.

His gaze travels over to Aoba as the angel gives him an odd look. He is curious about it but as his attention turns to the menu Kuro refocuses on it as well. The demon gives a little grunt when Aoba calls his name softly. Then he stills slightly as he asks his question. 'So, the mirror did it's job and showed him the truth. I wonder how long before it really gets to him that I'm blackening them slowly just by being myself around him' He glaces down at the key chain hanging around Aoba's neck for a brief instant before returning his gaze to the menu. 'That thing's not helping either' “Yeah, a little bit. It's because you're around a demonic aura so much now.”

He keeps his eyes on the open menu as well as he speaks, keeping his vice just as soft as Aoba's. The last thing they need is some of the hicks in this town overhearing them talking about wings and demons and get the right idea. Aoba points to this and that, asking what's in each before moving on to the next prospective meal choice. Once he's settled Kuro gives him a nod, smiling at his selection as he sets the menu down. 'Wow, how interesting. His selection is just one step up from the hicks around here. I know even hicks enjoy a good BLT, but I bet 80% of the lunch time orders around here are either steak, or ground beef based' He chuckles at this, a light smile on his lips as he walks up to the counter. He keeps half an eye on their bags as the girl behind the register perks up upon his approach.

'Wow, she's about to fall out of that thing. Please, not now. Not only am I trying to get closer to this lovely thing at my side, but that's an anatomy thing I don't feel like explaining right now. I know there are girl angels, but I'm positive Aoba has no experience there. . .' He lets his eyes trail easily over her front, to be polite, but then he gives her a disarming smile and places their order. Kuro orders their largest steak, rare, and asks that the meals be boxed up for travel. She winks and giggles at him before going off to place his order personally. Kuro knows she only does it so she can show off her plump backside to him and he does her the courtesy of at least looking at it before wandering back over to their bags to wait.

There is a fair few teenagers in the diner at this hour and Kuro can see several contemplating walking over to talk to him. 'I know my pheromones are in full swing with my angel around, but I don't have time to turn you all down politely right now. And I cant snap at you with my Little Mouse present so. . .' With a shrug he once more slips his arm around Aoba's waist but this time he explains himself slightly. “Listen, just go with this for now. Every teenager in this joint wants to get up close and personal with me right now because of the aura I'm giving off, so avoid any trouble, just stick close to me. They'll be less likely to pounce if they think I've already got someone.” he murmurs this softly, his hand squeezing Aoba's hip playfully as if he was whispering something naughty.

Once their meals arrive, the girl finally paying attention to Aoba, but only to glare at him a little and pout, Kuro slips her a couple dollars over the actual cost of the meals and hands the styrofoam boxes to Aoba. She gives him one last playful “Come hither” look before he smiles politely, scoops up the clothes bags, and heads out the door. Holding it open for Aoba he nods towards the road leading to the farm. “We should get walking. I'm sure you're hungry, and the moving guys should already be at the farm unloading.” He begins walking, keeping his pace even as he does his best to keep the sun from blinding him. Once outside of town this becomes easier as now there is nothing for it to glare off of. 'I wonder if Little Mouse is sweating. . .' Because of his tolerance for heat Kuro is not a good judge of such things using only his own skin as a thermometer. His gaze travels over tot he angel, looking for sweat.

Aoba couldn't help the small smile as Kuro subtly seemed to let her down easy. "Well I'm glad you ordered for me as well. I don't think I would have ever gotten my food." He teased and rested his arm on the counter and waited for their food. He watched the woman go, and shook his head lightly. "I don't have to know much about humans to know that she had a 'thing' for you." He laughed lightly, making no big deal of it. If people found him attractive, than they did. Not saying he wasn't, but Aoba didn't think it was his place to judge. He then found himself following Kuro back to their bags. Quietly, he sat on a bench, tapping his hands against his legs silently as he waited. Eyes started turning toward the two, more rather, on Kuro. It made Aoba uncomfortable no less.

The demon's hand snake around his waist, and he looked at him. He was sitting still, there was no need for him to keep him close. What Kuro whispered made Aoba blink and flush lightly. "Aura? What aura?" He then thought it over and asked another. "What trouble would they cause?" 'I guess Kuro doesn't want the attention. I wouldn't blame him, they look so. . . Well, lust driven. But aren't demons like that too? Well, he's different. He's not trying to kill me that's for sure.' The server returned and Aoba walked over to retrieve the boxes so Kuro could carry the rest. He wasn't expecting the glare from the girl and instead of hiding behind Kuro, his look was just of confusion. He happily followed Kuro out, not wanting to be around the many frowns or glares as he was pulled near the demon as if it was a normal thing.

"That sounds like a good idea." And soon enough, the two were walking back to the farm together. "Don't worry, I can wait." He said reassuringly. In the midst of their walk, Aoba shifted the boxes in his hands in order to roll his sleeves up. The sun seemed to be glaring straight down at the two. But, he did no type of complaining. Instead, he ended up unbuttoning the top button of his shirt and pulling down the collar more. When he did that, it was apparent that he was sweating. It was a gross feeling, so he ended up wiping it with his shirt sleeve. Even though he didn't complain, he still made faces to express his distaste.

Thirty minutes or so had passed in a comfortable silence. There were the few times Aoba's stomach grumbled, but that was expected and he simply ignored it for the time being. The farm game to view, and sure enough the truck was there and unloading. "We have a lot of work to do." Aoba looked over all the things two males were unloading out the truck.

Under his light gaze Aoba begins innocently, and quite inadvertently, teasing Kuro. Unable to take his eyes away from the sight the demon does his best to keep his breathing regular as more and more of the angel's flesh is exposed. 'Jeez, I really am a lost cause at this point. I'm getting revved up just from a little arm and chest action. I really need to get a hold of myself before I start. . .' Then a new thought strikes him and he smiles softly. 'He's being corrupted anyways, but no matter how much his wings darken, the corruption will not change him where it matters. . .So why shouldn't I try and get him to. . . . Sway a bit more towards more fun ventures?' He chuckles lightly as the farm house comes into view and he settles down with a light smile as to not freak out Aoba or the movers.

Kuro too looks over all of what is being delivered and takes a quick stock. 'Looks like they got everything on the list. Good, I would hate to have to fly back and yell at the woman' Motioning over at the porch he says, “Why don't you go take a seat up there and eat up before we get started. I'm going to drop this off in your room. You can get changed later. . .” Having said that Kuro heads inside and makes his way up to Aoba's room. 'There are a couple demon, but they are at a goodly distance. The smell of blood mus still be keeping them on edge' Setting the bags down on the bed he pulls out the pack of socks, rips it open, and pulls out a pair before grabbing the boots as well and heading downstairs.

Once back outside Kuro slides over to the eating angel and sets both the socks and boots down next to him. “When you're done I suggest putting those on. They will protect your feet from the stuff we are about to begins working with.” Once he's sure Aoba understands what he's asking Kuro slips off the porch to go help the men finish with the last slabs of wood. Once everything is off the truck and stacked up neatly the demon pulls out the wad and once more pays for their purchases. 'I really need to tell Little Mouse how this stuff works' he muses, watching the guys hop back into the truck and drive off. Once they are on their way Kuro wanders back over to the porch and takes up the box holding his own meal in it.

Trying his best not to look like some wild animal Kuro picks up the bloody meat carefully and begins chowing down. He makes short work of the steak, doing his best to not make too much of a mess. Once it is gone he licks his fingers and hands clean and turns to Aoba to explain what needs to get done. He lays out all the work that needs to be done before the animals arrive, putting them into categories of things for Aoba to do, and things Kuro wants to handle. He mentions a few things that they should work on after the animals arrive as well to make a better home for the beasts, but waves them off claiming they will have plenty of time to deal with that later. “For now we just need the bare necessities: food, water, and shelter. After that we can focus on keeping them happy.” He smiles wide, the thought of the animals making him obviously happy, and with only his Little Mouse around, Kuro does nothing to hide his love. As soon as Aoba is finished eating Kuro brings him over to the pile of tools and begins his instruction before they set to work.

Aoba nodded obediently and took a seat on the porch, watching the men unload everything. There was an old rocking chair sitting there so he sat comfortably with Kuro's box on his lap and his own box on top. The picture on the menu looked pretty promising, so he decided to taste it. Biting into it, he smiled happily. It didn't taste bad at all. As he ate, he wondered why the two gave occasional side glances towards him. They seemed skeptical for some reason, but Aoba continued to eat quietly. Maybe they could sense the demon aura? Did they see the blood on the ground? Aoba doubted it, but then glanced at the hole in the door. "Hm, maybe they're wondering what happened." He shrugged slightly and continued eating. When Kuro came back he lifted his box so Kuro could take his off his lap when the workers left. Aoba rocked back and forth in the chair and looked down at the shoes. By the time Kuro had gotten his food, Aoba had finished and began putting his new boots on. He eyed the lacing before finally managing to tie it.

The angel jumped up, walking back and forth in his new shoes. It took a few moments to get used to, but while Kuro was eating he walked around in the front, still close to the porch. When Kuro finished, Aoba listened attentively to the instructions given. They had a lot of work to do so splitting up the chores seemed like a good idea. Kuro went further and explained what tools to use when he got to the jobs that needed such. "I can do that." Aoba nodded and took the few tools that he said he would need. "I'm going to go clean out the barn first." It was a job he was most familiar with. Cleaning. The other jobs required tools he didn't have mastery on, so he decided to do them after.

Aoba rolled up his sleeves once more and went off to the barn. The entire place was dusty and needed to be cleaned, so he decided to start floor up. Pushing both doors wide open, he grabbed a large broom and began pushing all the nasty hay out. It was all left in the front at the door. Aoba went back and forth, taking out the hefty amount of hay and as soon as it was hay-free, Aoba began sweeping and dusting everything off. One of the gates had a screw loose, so as he was taught, he tightened the screw. This made him go around and check to make sure everything was sturdy and intact. Everything that needed to be fixed, Aoba got done.

Being a little neat freak, Aoba double checked to make sure everything was near perfect. His second inspection revealed a little rat hole in the wall. "I don't think they belong in the barn..." He decided to board it closed, only giving the rats a way out instead of in. Although, he was sure it wouldn't stop them from finding a way in. "Hay is next." He found the fresh hay and began neatly putting that into the barn. That didn't take too long, so when he finished he stood back and admired the work. "One down, a few more to go." He closed the barn doors and went off to the large fenced area for the animals to make sure the fence was okay.

Kuro gives Aoba a smile and a nod as he wanders off towards the barn. 'So obedient. . .' With a cough he smiles and scoops up the wood for the turkey hut like it's a bag of feathers and wanders off to a nice shady location beneath the large trees dotting the back yard. 'Honestly, I think the turkey and chicken could share an area, the hole into the chicken coop too small for the turkey to invade should they feel uppity, but the area itself is too small. . .' With a huff he sets down the wood and with a wave summons the tools he needs. Not one fore doing more work than absolutely necessary unless he feels like it, Kuro has the tools do a lot of the work on their own while he holds the boards in place.

The three day job takes only about an hour as Kuro works the building from many different angles at once. As soon as it's in place he leaves it to settle and begins expanding the chicken yard to encompass the new structure and adding on a length off to the side so the birds will have plenty of room to commingle. He looks up to watch Aoba head off to check the fence like Kuro had instructed. Any long boards needing changing Aoba would report to him so the demon could deal with them. Kuro can not help but look on proudly as the little angel goes about his job with determination and without complaint. 'Really, how could they have thought so little of him up there. I mean, he tries so hard. They are all fools up there' His eyes snap around a moment later as he feels a demon getting a little too close, but even before he can really respond the feeling goes away as the demon portals away.

Soon enough the fenced in area is finished as well and Kuro decides it's time for some hydration. Heading over to the pump in the back yard he pumps it easily a few times until the water begins flowing freely. He waits a little bit for the hot pipe water to pass so he can drink some of the cooler stuff from deeper underground. Splashing a bit in his face Kuro strips out of his coat and shirt. Less to keep cool and more to tease Aoba a little bit should he have the chance. His gaze wanders over to the outdoor tub and his movements slow down gradually until at last he's simply staring at it with a rather wicked look in his eyes. 'Yes' A chuckle finds it's way out and with a light hum he goes back to work.
