Oh yes it did, seemed like a great idea initially, in practice you quickly find yourself running into limitations when you cut off a key sense/ability, like talking.

Perhaps he communicates through pelvic thrusts. It'd be very LoR...

This pelvic thrusting talk reminded me of something. When Brovo was reading some character sheets for LoR 2 of the non-reborn variety on Skype, he got to Kasim being a bowman and having the Alluring Eyes trait, which was the Sniper/Seduction trait that made it so when you're taking the time to aim and fire you can sometimes have enemies be distracted by some aspect of your character and leave themselves open to attack. Based on the character art I chose, he painted a lovely picture of Kasim standing there with his bow drawn, pelvic thrusting like a madman to distract his enemies.

The best part is that it's rather suiting for Kasim, and under the right circumstances he would actually do it.

In all honesty, I'm not sure about the archangel deal. I believe there were a fixed numbers, and aside from 2 or 3, I don't know of any that have been killed or died. They were immortals and usually, only a god or another archangel (or something equivalently powerful) usually took them down. *furrows my brow* Have to talk to Robert on all that. I genuinely have an idea that could apply for this, if Robert approves... That would give the archangel a history and reasons for being dead... *crosses arms* Meh.

As far as the Papacy goes... Still, I don't think -Renalta- would trust them. They're like... Baby-eaters. On top of that. *gestures to the royal family* They kiiind of have a dislike of the papacy, have allies in the other factions, annnnd... Well, that's just the papacy.. Not talking about their possible issues with things like... Angels, some of the religions, etc. They encountered a few cool people, some allies, but it really seemed for the most part during their entire journey... the gods were torturing and attempting to kill them... After destroying the kingdom in the past. And oppressing the world... And more. OH YEAAAAAH. And the papacy is extremely anti-mage. And racist. Like... Destroy all magic things, kill all mages. And oppress anything not human... Yeah...

As far as your negative effects... I'm unsure on the death for your character thing, though. It poses problems and becomes easily exploitable... The muteness poses a massive issue with in-game communication and is a player choice deal. If you want to know what such disabilities can do, well... Our blind bard could have quite a few issues at times.

The fact that your character essentially has no choice but to follow all the angel says, again, feels like a play-style choice... And, again, brings up a lot of trust issues and more. I dunno. Just seems like a lot that poses a lot of friction with established lore and hard to work with. It would, quite possibly make you disliked by a lot of NPCs, untrusted and ostracized. Angelic beings just... Aren't the favorite people in the world. The Papacy possibly less-so. XD

As far as reliquaries from the papacy, though... I'm extremely certain they have them, though it may not be established in exact details. Their "pope" or whatever he's called, is considered the voice of god and a holy figure himself, so I bet every one of them are probably in a special mausoleum or something. Kings of Rheinfeld possibly had a tomb too, though they were not technically seen as powerful as the papacy's head in the past, I believe... *thinks*

I dunno, I see a lot of lore conflicts here, personally... but your general idea is not bad. I just see the issues and it might take a lot of revamping and beating the thought into the correct shape to fit. : P

Thanks for the response. After giving it some thought, I've decided to scrap the cursed grave robber idea. I wanted to find a way to make a 'cursed' character, and the idea of having my PC be someone that deserved to be cursed was too much to pass up at the time.

For now, I've decided to make a completely different cursed character. The CS will be up later today.

Name: Aslo

Age: 34

Appearance: Props to Cristi-B

Race: Human

Sex: Male

Homeland: Freeholds

History:

Years ago in Southblood, a slave auction was held. In line to be sold was a wonderful young woman very recently acquired. In attendance was her former husband bidding for her freedom against another. The Fates spat in the man's face and a riot broke out caused by some force unknown to the man. His competitor fled the scene, but too much time was lost and as the building came crashing down the wife lay dead. It was that day that Aslo as men amd women know him was born. After suffering through the grief of his lover's death Aslo vowed revenge on those responsible.

He started with the highborn who had been bidding against him. After that had been taken care of he found himself picking at rumors, and with little to no coin. He found people were very willing to pay people to have others disappear, and from there things evolved naturally. Aslo picked up more and more work as an assassin that he regrettably forgot about revenge. Until recently of course. Rumors had once again been circulating concerning the events of that particular slave auction, and those rumors eventually led him to Renalta.

Motivation:

Have his revenge enacted on those responsible for the death of his wife. He joined the blades to make use of their considerable resources to discover the identities of whoever instigated that riot. He also agrees with a great many of the ideals held by the Queen herself, and he would like to be a part of the solution to the problem the world is facing.

Traits & Equipment

Equipment List

-- Falcon named Kira, used as a messenger, forward scout, and is capable of catching small prey

-- Smoke grenade type device filled with, among other things, nitroglycerin which when inhaled will cause substantial headaches and blurred vision

-- 2 Simple knives, one for the throwing and the other for cutting

-- Modestly decorated one handed sword

Just updated my reserve post with my finished CS. Went with a cursed character based around an interesting pic I found when searching for the original Grave Robber character I was going to make.

Small issue with that blessing mate. The gods were banished and the heavens sealed so they wont be lending their power or influencing people anytime soon.

@Everyone: Murderok, Gryff, 'Child', Andrea Llolth'Aliln, Ceann, Naream Baenre, Aslo, Algrimm Ironblood added to the character list. We're now officially over-full: We can't take anyone else. To everyone else still waiting, sorry, you'll have to wait until the next wave of missions after casualties have been tallied up.

As for missions...

Scenario 1: Carnival of Chaos. (Revisiting a retooled old mission!)
Description: A large group of the Queen's Blades were moving from the capital city to Arian village--although properly known as the town of Arian, due to its growth spurt over the past ten years. An idyllic little corner of civilization, it manages to avoid the trappings of the big city and retain many of the aspects of a town--dirt roads, buildings made out of sturdy logs, etc. Your characters were this large group, being led by Dean Hansen, one of the ones who banished the Gods. Mikan arrives from the town as your characters see several ravens flying in over the lake towards the town, and she quickly explains everything she saw to the best of her ability--so probably sounding like a panting woman with a thick germanic accent telling you that some purple guy is going to blow up the town with magical devices.

That being said, Dean recommends splitting up into roughly equally sized groups: West Watch Tower, East Watch Tower, Town Square, and Raven's Inn. There are, of course, "take a third" options within each assignment though...

Missions
West Watch Tower: 6/6.
--Participants: Abida Qisaf (Herzinth), Thailen Vicarris (Herzinth), Maeven Lucre (Tempest), Naream Baenre (Sarzu), Aëyr (Holmishire), Esyllt Boudica (Kestrel).
East Watch Tower: 5/6.
--Participants: Alicia the Blood Duelist (LimeyPanda), Dread Fang (Hank), Kasim Ambilus (Jorick), Zayn (Alex), 'Child' (Hellis).
Town Square: 5/6.
--Participants: Zinnarath "Zin" Corsys (Jorick), Rayvon Krayvitch (Tempest), Andrea Llolth'Allin (Andrea), Ceann (Andrea/Selvi), Laenaia (Alphakoka).
Raven's Inn: 6/6.
--Participants: Murderok (Kadaeux), Gryff (Kadaeux), Aslo (Icarus), Algrimm Ironblood (Zed), Maher Adonai (Gat), Nadira Adonai (Genais).

Everyone pick a mission, then post in the IC. If a mission is full up on players, you can't join it. I'll update it as people post in the OOC which mission they'll join.

Good luck! If you have any questions or need a quick line of dialogue or two from an NPC or anything else, just let me know.
