The majority of the RP thus far has been the roleplayers waking up in the Guild world, trying to understand it, and attempting to find a way to survive. A group of RPers were lucky enough to find Muse, a mysterious shapeshifter who seemed to be running himself ragged trying to gather up as many roleplayers as possible in order to protect them. After realizing the mistrust the players had in him, he said he was their servant – and that he would fulfill any request and answer any question they had, so long as it was within his capability. He explained some mechanisms of the Guild world a bit better – particularly the way time is completely inconsistent and the flow of time can vary from place to place. However, despite his claims to answer any question, he became a bit dodgy when the RPers asked exactly who or what he was. He never did give a straight answer, instead changing the subject by teaching the RPers how to augment reality. Essentially, one can change what is true by simply believing, unquestionably, that they can change what is true. It’s a tough concept that Muse didn’t expect them to pick up right away, but surprisingly some of the RPers did have some progress.
Eventually, Muse took the group to Kalmaysia Academy – a high-school-for-the-gifted RP set on a chunk of land floating in the sky. There they were joined by Jacklyn (late to join the RP) while they derped around trying to get inside the building. Once they got inside, a number of the RPers quickly got lost (meaning, there were quite a few drop-outs; I’m currently working on a better solution). The only two who remain with Muse as of right now are Nautilus and Jacklyn.
Meanwhile, another group of RPers (Leon, Rose and Euclid), weren’t so lucky to find Muse, but instead met up in Kalmaysia a while before Muse arrived, and had to figure the situation out for themselves. It wasn’t long before Leon and Rose, who’d gone into the school cafeteria to find food, met up with the Godmodder himself, who was hiding under a table when they arrived, interrogating a spider. After Godmodder, or as he soon started calling himself, GM, introduced himself to the group, his erratic behavior prompted the two to hide in the kitchen and devise a plan to escape from the maniac. Unfortunately GM was onto them, though, and vaporized the door to the kitchen, sending an abused wolf named Rin after them as they ran into an escape tunnel with the supplies they’d gathered.
At that time, GM was distracted by Euclid, who’d just smashed through a window trying to create a diversion and save them. While Rin chased after Leon and Rose, GM himself went after Euclid, only to stop upon recognizing him, and mysteriously say that he needed Euclid alive, before vanishing, no longer in the mood to chase anyone down.
Shortly thereafter, it was revealed that GM was in cahoots with Bellua, a powerful and evil character created by Euclid. After officially taking Bellua in under his control, he released Bellua from his prison, letting him roam the realm to seek out Euclid for himself. He has not yet found Euclid, but he did encounter Callum (another late joiner), and the two are currently still traveling the Guild in search of him, though Callum really doesn’t fully understand what’s going on or who they’re really looking for.
Back to Leon and Rose: the two managed to kill Rin during the course of their chase with some quick knife-work, but only after Rin had managed to wound Leon. They continued through the secret tunnel, however, still believing GM could be following and not wanting him to catch up with them. It wasn’t until after they made their way out of the tunnel and into a forest that they stopped to dig a first aid kit out of their supplies to treat Leon’s wound. While GM wasn’t following them, though, Euclid was. And by the time all three of them were reunited, they realized they’d need to find some sort of shelter. They eventually decided to go back to Kalmaysia and sleep in Ethan’s dorm room – Ethan being one of Rose’s characters in the Kalmaysia RP. Ethan was nowhere to be found when they arrived, and so the three just made themselves at home, with Leon sleeping in Ethan’s bed.
After Leon had fallen asleep, GM appeared once again, this time with a laptop in hand, acting as if Ethan’s dorm was his own home, though he had little interest in attacking any of the RPers again. When the light from GM’s computer woke Leon, GM explained that Ethan’s dorm was his own home, somehow, and, realizing based on the way Leon spoke that there were more RPers there than just him, he asked Leon to show him the rest of his group.
And that’s basically where everyone left off. Our current groups of characters include Muse, Nautilus and Jacklyn in the Kalmaysia cafeteria, Bellua and Callum wandering across various RP settings, and GM, Leon, Rose and Euclid in one of the Kalmaysia dorm rooms. You can take your pick of who you want to jump in with, for the most part, though I think Leon’s group would be the hardest to interrupt at the moment, so unless you can come up with a good idea as to how you’d jump into that fray, I suggest seeking out interaction with one of the two other groups.
