[IC] Dragon's Nest

Soreth perched up in her nest, sitting on top of her eggs. They look ready to hatch... well, if they're so ready, why won't they hatch?! She's been looking over these eggs for months now, waiting for them to hatch. She thought she's been seeing small cracks lately...

NaiSky moved around in her small space. She wanted to sleep longer, but it was too small in here! She pecked at the side of this thing she was in. She then started prying it open with her claws. Get me out of here already! she impatiently thought.

For the first time, the little dragon in the egg snapped her jaws open and shut, a sort of wake-up lip smacking. Then her eyes where open. Slowly, she clawed a hole in the egg and then stuck her nose out through it, taking in a first breath of fresh air through her nostrils and making a beeping sound like a baby alligator.

(Seriously, cutest baby animal call ever. I'd love to imagine baby dragons make that sound too.)

NaiSky flopped out what was left of the egg shell and onto the cold hard stone. She let out a little dragon grunt as she hit the ground. She slowly opened her eyes to her surroundings.

Soreth saw that one of her dragons had hatched, and another one was sticking it's head it of it's egg an calling to her. She went to the dragon that fully hatched and brought it over to the dragon that hadn't fully hatched. She set down the hatched dragon, and started making a bigger hole in the unhatched egg. Once the hole was big enough, Soreth pulled the unhatched dragon out. She picked up both the dragons and sat them down. She looked at the white dragon, and saw she had a speck of darkness under her wings. "You shall be named NaiSky. For you will grow with the night sky under your wings. And you..." she looked at the blue dragon. "You shall be named Leas-Celyn, for you will grow to be the smartest of all of my dragons." Once she finished naming them both, she flew off into the local village, and took a sheep. She killed it and carried it back to the nest with her claws. She set it down in front of the two Hatchlings, and waited for them to eat.

(( BTW, you're young, so your powers haven't developed. They will develop very soon, but they will be weak. Over time, they will get stronger.for now, there is only a faint glitter of your power. ))

NaiSky screeched softly when this big thing picked her up. She looked up and saw it looked somewhat like her.

She now looked at the thing in front of her and bit into it. Mmmm... Whatever it was, it was good. She continued to eat it slowly.

Well, there was no hesitation on the part of Leas when it came to eating. Once she stuffed herself on the sheep she fell over on her back and laid there for a while and stared up at the larger dragon in wonder.

NaiSky finished eating and saw the thing laying on it's back. She got into position and then pounced onto it's belly, letting out a tiny "rawr!".

She made a sound back at NaiSky, although it didn't really even qualify as a 'rawr', more like air being forced out of a squeaky toy. For a moment she looked almost offended, but then grinned and batted at her sibling playfully, trying to wriggle away.

NaiSky rolled off, more like fell off, of this 'other dragon'. She fell onto her own back.

Soreth chuckled softly at her new children. They were adorable, but she knew that over time, they would become large and fierce. This thought made her smile. Once the hatchlings finished eating, she ate the rest of the sheep, and flew off to get more. She came back with five sheeps. She set them down, and started gnawing on them. She finished eating, and so she sat down next to the two hatchlings as they fought playfully.

Standing back up, her nose suddenly started to tickle, and she winced a little bit, followed by a tiny little 'achoo' like sound that produced a puff of vapor. It quickly evaporated though, and she was left bewildered by the event. She looked at her mother for reassurance.

Soreth saw that her hatchling was confused about the sudden burst of vapor from her nose, so she explained. "Every dragon is born with a different power. Mine is to breath fire." She lifted her head into the air, and blew a mighty flame that caused the sky to turn red, as a demonstration. "It seems you are going to be able to bream hot vapor, or steam."

NaiSky looked up at the fire in awe.
Going to? Not fair! I want my power right now! she thought, not knowing she had sent the message into her Mother's head.

Soreth chuckled. "You want your power right now? You have not even learned to fly yet. Even a lowly human knight could kill you!"

NaiSky jumped back.
"How did you hear my thoughts?" she quietly said aloud, her first words. "Is that your power too?"

Leas thought for a moment. "What's a huuman? Can I eat some?", projecting her thoughts as well.

"All dragons have the power to speak to eachother telepathically." he looked over to Leas and smiled, then she took off for the village. She came back a few minutes later with a dead human in her claws. Just like the sheep she set it in front of her hatchlings. "Now this..." She gestured at the corpse. "is a human. Humans live in villages and city, and they're the ones who give me sheep and other things. A knight is a human who is idiotic enough to try and kill a dragon." She picked up the human and used her flaming breath to cook the human. she set the cooked corpse in front of the hatchlings. "If you want to eat it, it's all yours."

"They're so ugly...where are their claws? And give you? Then isn't it rude to kill them?" NaiSky questioned.

Leas sniffed at the corpse but then snorted and recoiled a bit. "No thank you, that doesn't look like food."
