The issue with charging into battle as per Neku's approach was twofold. First, only a fool engages in battle without knowing the opponent's capability. Second, without a conduit for soul energy such as Soul Menace, and without the existence known as a Demon Weapon, a meister was merely a human with decent physical capability, a human which stood at a disadvantage to even the weakest Kishin Egg.
To make this matter simpler, the Kishin Eggs will henceforth bear the following names: Fleshmonger, Birdman, and Schwarz. Which name applies to which Egg should be obvious.
The double-kick dealt to Fleshmonger's face, quite simply, did little. This was the foolishness of charging in blindly, against such a gargantuan being as he, blunt force would do little. Punches, kicks, weapons such as hammers, his body was designed to take those unflinchingly as if he were made of some demonic variety of sponge.
The true folly though was in the instant later.
He quickly moved toward his second opponent, jumping off the first Kishin Egg to leap towards the other one, grab it by the arm and toss at the third egg.
While Fleshmonger was the slow one of the group, both Birdman and Schwarz were blisteringly fast by comparison, and not to mention that both individuals had the time in which they saw Neku kick at Fleshmonger to prepare themselves to react accordingly. It was thus that the second Neku had grabbed the arm of Birdman...
-His talons grabbed Neku's arm in turn, sinking into his flesh and rendering his attempted "throw" of Birdman as a useless mistake that only resulted in a wound to Neku's dominant arm.
Not stopping there, Birdman refused to let go of his prey and began an animalistic assault upon him. It is theorized that velociraptors used their wings for stability, staying on top of their prey with their hooked claws and tearing them apart alive.
This was an apt comparison to Birdman's approach. He was Neku's opponent now, and if the meister intended on surviving he'd focus on one target at a time.
Rather than being intelligent and taking a swing at the now-open Neku, Fleshmonger instead moved to lumber up the stairs towards the female who was rapidly texting her partner, taking a bestial swing at her next.
And Schwarz? He simply stepped towards the Instructor of the now-shattered group, peering at him with an eyeless gaze for a moment before stepping back, and watching his comrades fight.
Such was life for a Projection.
