Plot


The new term has started at Mahora Academy and People of all types are coming and going to Mahora Academy. But why is Mahora such a popular place? What makes it so special that people of all sorts are coming and going?

In the background there are mages from all over coming to Mahora to advance their rank as a mage. They come to complete a task that they were assigned to within Mahora, whether it be to be a teacher, a worker at a business, maybe even be a student at the school, etc. But all of that is only in the background. From the outside Mahora is a normal place. Mahora’s grounds is big enough to be its own city, it is basically a city within a city. The academy itself is a normal academy students live within Mahora grounds and attend classes not knowing about the existence of magic, but for how long will the existence of magic be kept a secret? With the constant flow of mages coming to Mahora, how long will it be before a mage slips and reveals it all?

Rules

1. No one liners, I don't set my standards very high, (because I am not as good of a writer myself) but requirement is at least two paragraphs (6-8 sentences minimum per paragraph) with acceptable spelling and grammar.
2. I will not force you to post everyday but do check in from time to time so I know you are still around for the RP
3. The max amount of days I give to post is 2-3 days after this RP has picked up as I do not want anyone in post lock.
4. If you are going to be gone for an extended period of time either tell us in the OOC or PM me, I won't kick you but your character will just be in the background until your return.
5. This one is obvious, no God Modding. Everyone likes to be awesome in an RP but if you make your character so awesome that you are impossible to touch then you are out, God Modders ruin the fun and I do not want that.
6. If you have any problems with another person's character do not bash it publicly, either come talk to me and I will talk to them or talk to them directly and see if you can settle it with them.
7. I am open to suggestions so if you have anything you think would work well or think I missed some important details do let me know

Magical and Physical classes


These are just ideas for you guys you do not have to follow these just thought it would be a good idea to give you guys some sort of insight. Also these are not based on real stuff I am just making sure there are both pros and cons to each different class that make sense to the class. If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask. You do not have to base your abilities off of these classes I just put these here for reference for you guys.

Magical Classes


Magical classes are strongly based around using magic, magical items, and all sorts of other things that help improve their power to healing major wounds.

Western Magic- Western magic is based on real-life Western fantasy. Monster and spiritual entities are included in this. Spells within Western magic is commonly invoked through the use of an incantations. Most spells are Latinite incantations, but there are some that are in Ancient Greek and Sanskrit. After becoming a skilled mage it is possible to unleash your magic without the use of an incantation, which in turn eliminates the greatest weakness of a spell caster. The school of Western magic focuses on being in teams supporting one another and rather than outright destruction their magic focuses on sealing, capturing or disarming.

Eastern Magic- Eastern magic is based off of the traditional far-eastern religion and folk-belief. They exclusively use talismans and charms to invoke magic, and summon demons to fight/defend them. The school of Eastern magic focuses more on a lone wolf approach focusing on using talismans/charms to build a team of demons to fight/defend for you or causing disruption and/or confusion. Talismans and charms each have a very specific purpose when used to control a demon.

Wizards - Western Mage- Wizards are the most common magical class and the most powerful of the magical classes. Mages that rely on long incantations to cast devastating spells that cause immense damage to enemies with their high leveled spells. Their knowledge on spells help them learn new spells and barriers quickly and master older spells making them stronger. With such vast knowledge they have the ability to master the elements much faster than any other class of mage. Not only are they good at attacking they are well adept at supporting with strong support healing spells as well as strong protective barriers.

Even with all this power they must rely on their partners to support them in the time they are casting a spell. In a close combat situation they could never beat a Magic Swordsman. Compared to most other mage classes, the wizard has a considerably slower cast time due to this they must stay in the back and attack from afar. That being said they cannot take much damage either, so they need constant protection from their partners.

Magic Swordsman - Western Mage- Magic Swordsman are the ones who fight in close combat situations. Just as any mage would they empower themselves through the use of magic, They use staffs and casting rings in their fighting. They use fighting styles, such as Kenpo, and merge it together with their magic making a powerful combination of both physical and magical damage output. Their incantations are the shortest of all the classes not only that they have the greatest mobility of all the mage classes. They are strong in both body and mind. Instead of fighting from afar they are in the front lines with their partners to fight. Magic Swordsman have the ability to imbue their bodies with different empowerment spells as well as the separate elements giving their attacks that extra damage output.

Even though Magic Swordsman are strong in close combat and undoubtedly can use use strong spells to incorporate into their fighting, their magic pales in comparison to a wizard's magical capabilities. Their attacks are not as strong as a wizard's due to the short incantations. Lastly they are in more danger due to the fact of fighting in the front lines with their partners. Unlike wizards, Magic Swordsman do not have strong support spells they know minor healing spells and only know body reinforcements for protection.

Onmyoudo - Eatern Mage- Onmyoudo are Eastern Mages that summon and/or use talismans/charms to control demons. Their main form of weaponry are their talismans/charms. These tags can range from putting someone to sleep to exploding and causing damage. These talismins/charms have varying abilities and multiple can be used at one time. When summoning a demon, there are two types of demons: One made for pure assault and offense, the Zenki while on the opposite end of the spectrum there are the Goki which are purely used for defense. These summoned demons do not disappear until their task has been completed.

Unlike wizards Onmyoudo can much easily defend themselves. Even with that they cannot take much damage as they are mainly summoner types so being in the front lines is not the smartest tactic. Just like wizards they are really reliant on their partners for support and for getting them out of tough situations. Magic consumption becomes a problem for Onmyoudo as they have to control numerous demons at once.

Physical Classes


Physical classes are classes that rely heavily on Physical combat, Ki users are classified under this class. Physical fighters the the ability to use any sort of physical weapon such as guns, staffs, any bladed weapon and can use their own hands. Martial arts is also a big thing within the physical class category.

Ninjas- Ninjas are more than likely the fastest combat class there is of all the physical classes. Taking advantage of their speed to attack consecutively and quickly whilist being able to deliver a lethal attack here and there. Ninjas is the class with the use of the most throwing weapons, as well as the use of scrolls for secret techniques. From time to time they may use melee weapons when in close proximity combat. Just like talismans/charms scrolls have variety of effects. One thing about ninjas have great range capabilities as well as close quarter combat. Ninjas know the secret arts of ninjutsu so they have a few tricks up their sleeves when presented with certain situations.

Ninjas are not the strongest of it's class. Avoiding and blocking attacks is something that is required as ninjas cannot take much damage compared to other classes. Scrolls are not always 100% more of the higher leveled ones can backfire and have effects that could mean your downfall so ninjas have to be careful. If you cannot get first strike in a battle it will be hard to recover as a ninja's greatest advantage is to strike while undetected.

Martial Artist- Martial artists, are the strongest of all the physical combat classes. They excel in hand to hand combat making quick work of enemies. Being a martial artist means you have immense power and speed, the most power and speed of the physical combat class in terms of hand to hand combat. They have various techniques when fighting and can master these different techniques much faster than any other class. With the huge variety of techniques, martial artists have techniques that do and do not involve the use of Ki

They may be the strongest class but they cannot always guarantee a killing blow. They make up for that fact through the barrage of attacks they can release against the enemy but the downside of that is the depletion of your stamina. When put up against a ranged opponent a martial artists may have a hard time in getting close to them to deal enough damage. Last downside is that they have a tough time defeating opponents that know their techniques.

Swordsman- This is the class that mainly use melee weapons whether they range from bladed weapons to blunt weapons such as staffs. Swordsman are strong when it comes to close quarter combat, their weapons can cause devastating damage to enemies if they have the knowledge on how to use their weapon. When faced against a hand to hand fighter the swordsman will have the advantage in the fact they have a weapon to cause more damage. Just as with a martial artist they have the ability to use Ki.

Swordsman, just like martial artists are weak when it comes to fighting against a ranged enemy, but compared to a martial artist a swordsman can fend off a few of the ranged attacks with their weapon. Without a doubt if they are caught in battle without a weapon they will be very vulnerable and will need to retreat back or try to retrieve their weapon. Another downside of a swordsman is the durability of their weaponry, if not maintained they could lose their trusty partner in the middle of battle.

Gunner- Gunners are the ones that fight with a variety of guns ranging from sniper rifles to handguns. Not only do they use a variety of guns they use a variety of bullets, that can be rubber bullets to magic infused bullets. Gunners are generally prepared for any situation, generally meaning they have a gun for every situation they may encounter. They can fight from any distance. They have high amounts of strength, range, and agility. Whether they are up close or far away they can fight with ease.

While gunners are strong and can carry any weapon for any situation, this is also their downfall, they can only carry so much with them before they are over-encumbered and lose the agility they have. Supplies and gear does not come cheap for gunners seeing as they have to rely on their guns and ammunition for such weaponry is expensive, they need to be stocked at all times with ammunition, because if they run out they are stuck and have no way of fighting. Gunners need to train their body as well not just their gun skills to be effective in fighting.

Nagi is an easy going person he isn’t the type that would let a small or big problem bug him too much rather he takes everything one step at a time and does not hesitate to take everything he does slowly as the way he sees it, it’s easier to solve a problem if you can see the whole picture. He can be very dense from time to time but he does not do it purposely rather he does it unknowingly. Without a doubt he is very outgoing, sometimes maybe a little too outgoing when it comes to complete strangers. Being a stranger does not stop Nagi from trying to get close to someone because sooner or later even if they hate his guts they will become used to him and ease up and end up as his friend sooner or later, in that sense he is very persistent stopping at nothing, no matter the cost. He does everything and anything for his friends, even if it means getting into some major trouble with them, because in the end he knows they will get out of it just fine. Nagi is very happy go lucky and does not let anything get him down, because as his motto goes “There is no time to be sad.” All in all Nagi is an all-around happy guy that can easily get along with anyone.

On the other end of the spectrum when Nagi is mad, he turns into a whole different person. It takes a lot to make Nagi truly mad, usually he doesn’t actually get truly mad when he says he does, but when Nagi does get truly made it is a side of him that should never come out. His happy go luckiness takes a complete 180 and turns into a rage that could only match a demons he doesn’t show it verbally but he definitely shows it physically. One thing that makes him mad more than anything is when his friends are harmed, he takes it personally and will raise hell to get revenge for them.

Biography-
Nagi has never known his parents, rather his whole life he was told that they had abandoned him as a baby. Growing up he had learned that was very well not the case through various things that were left with him. Even then he did not pay too much attention to him as it was in the past and the past didn’t concern him, what concerned him was the present.

Ever since he was a kid he had learned about the existence of magic, rather he learned it through himself. One of the things that his birth parents left him was just a plain old tattered stick, or so he thought. One day while playing with this tattered stick, he somehow created a small little flame at the end of it. Of course this scared him at first but he soon realized that he had something in him that he should keep to himself. He did let his step-parents know, that’s when they explained everything to him. They explained how there was a whole hidden world, and that this hidden world was the world of magic. As cool as it was they did their best to make it seem like a bad thing but Nagi was never turned off by it rather it sparked something inside of him.

Since then he started doing his research on magic he tried to learn everything he could, even if it meant him sneaking into areas that had books all about magic that were off limits. He learned about the magic world and the greatest magician of all the time The Thousand Master, Nagi Springfield. This made him motivated to become the next thousand master, even though they probably didn’t have the same potential at the very least they had the same given name, that was more than enough of a reason to become stronger and achieve his goal.

Nagi learned quickly, he was able to breeze through the basics as well as the intermediate material, he was the top of his class in magic school he climbed the ranks quickly. Before he knew it he was already onto his final assignment of becoming a Magister Magi, his task was vague though all it said was: “Go to Mahora Academy, your task awaits you there.”

Here he is today at Mahora, still not knowing what his final task is, for the time being he decided to become a teacher through the approval of the headmaster, there he became a young teacher, still searching for his final task before becoming a magister magi

Personality:
One of Kyouka's prominent traits, is her willingness to be playful, ruthless and sadistic on both foe and ally, she is openminded and speaks her mind to the fullest resulting into mischiefs. She clearly shows control of her emotions and does not let it get in her way, a trait of her being a stoic person and enduring all sorts of dreadful encounter furthermore she is known to boss around and doublecross those who have no use for her. Kyouka is able to inflict fear and adoration to those who work with her and it is something she clearly knows and takes advantage of.

Another trait that is known of her is that, she is very picky and prefers the company of women instead of men, it's not because she despise them but rather having difficulties conversing with them in a friendly conversation/manner and majority of the times, her composure in men is cold and ignorant. Kyouka likes teasing those around her especially if it's women sometimes in a sarcastic way or subtle, this implies whether or not she is a lesbian in nature but such theory is debunked when she stated that she prefers men that are older and strong. She has a catchphrase which is, "sparkling." Much to her usage of that phrase, it became a bad habit as she uses it in the wrong place and time, she also has many alterations of her catchphrase and fun fact is, she uses a cutesy quote that puts her into teasing situations from her comrades and enemies, that one liner is "Kon~", it is secretly confidential that Kyouka loves cute stuffed animals.

On the otherhand, Kyouka is also known to love in a good capacity, showing a sugar and defrosting to warm demeanor, she values those who are considered close to her and will willingly protect them and brutally kill those who hurts them.

Biography:
Kyouka is a hybrid-Kitsune who is born in Hokkaido and is a residence in Kyoto. She is unfortunate enough to be born upon her family's conflicts. The conflict between the Hasegawas and Tanakas, Kyouka was kept in the dark and the truth was not to be known to her or otherwise. She spent majority of her childhood with her foster mother, and siblings since her biological mother was presumed dead. Throughout the course of her life, she devoted herself in martial arts, Piano, Violin, Tessenjutsu, Kenjutsu and Cosplaying, Kyouka lived a life of sport. However, she could not accept the fact that her Father has neglected her, moreover it became a heated relationship between Father and Daughter thus becoming distant yet formal. Three years ago, she witnessed her family(The Hasegawa/Mother's side) slaughtered at her very own eyes along with best friend involved, she couldn't do anything about it thus the result becoming vengeance.
Place of Origin: Mundus Veretis

Abilities:
For a Fox-Human hybrid/Hanyo, Kyouka is capable of having enhanced human strength, speed, adept durability and healing factor(she heals 2x faster than normal, moderated). In addition for her foxy nature, she is also deviously intelligent. She only has one tail.

Master Iron Fan Specialist: Kyouka's fighting style, the art of using the war fan, it blends effectively with her decisive and flexible reflexes. She is able to launch rigged blades from the get go and fuse it with her magic reserves, the most prominent skill she uses is to fan the wind which creates force of blasts. This gets even better if she uses fire magic. Not only the iron fan is used for fanning but also parrying and deflecting objects and weaker Ki and magic based attacks.

Kenjutsu: Kyouka is capable of wielding a Katana which is her secondary weapon, the extent of her skill in kenjutsu is decent, however she can only perform two techniques which are:
Tsubamegaeshi and Zantetsu-Ken which can be enhanced by Magic.

Illusions(Kitsune based ability): A natural ability for a Kitsune. Kyouka's version is more on disguises, dopplegangers and trickery.

Standard Fire Magic(Kitsune based ability): Kyouka is capable of creating small bursts of fire and blend it with her sword and fan, her style is more keen on manipulation. The following attack she has is:

Blazing Tail: By infusing her tail with flames, she blazes forth and attack! This Is a reference to Pokemon's Pikachu's Iron Tail.

Overall: Kyouka's fighting style is based on Magic Swordsman.

General Info
Name- Ito Shiori
Age- 15

Appearance-

Personality- Friendly, upbeat and inquisitive, if somewhat softly spoken and socially awkward. She is a bookworm and science nerd at heart, a dedicated member of the chemistry club despite her occasional bouts of clumsiness making experimenting alongside her a nerve-wracking experience. While she is a little self-conscious of her appearance, she doesn't dwell on it or let questions or remarks about her pale skin, sutures or clumsiness get to her. She came within an inch of death - why let anything ruin her second chance at life? Still, she does tend to wear long-sleeved shirts when possible and spends a lot of time indoors, and treats those of her friends who stand up for her like solid gold.

Biography- Shiori's life was pretty uneventful until the last year of middle-school. A few of her friends in her chemistry club were, unbeknownst to her, amateur mages with a penchant for mixing magic with mundane science. One afternoon Shiori stepped into the club room just as one such experiment backfired violently, injuring half the club and almost demolishing the building. Shiori bore the brunt of the explosion, however, and was killed. Wracked with varying degrees of guilt and fear of reprisals, some of the group decided to try and bring her back, using prohibited dark magic and necromancy to shore up the gaps where their own science failed.

It took over a week of work, but it worked. They were far from experts, though, and the end result wasn't perfect - Shiori was resurrected, but her body was a patchwork of stitches, saturated with magic, and she occasionally came down with periods of clumsiness. One of her teachers happened to be a mage as well, a graduate of Mahora Academy, and caught on to what had happened right away. He smoothed over the incident with the non-magical authorities and contained the information leak, quietly explaining the situation to Shiori's parents and contacting his alma mater to arrange for Shirori to be transferred to Mahora, deciding it would be the best way to monitor her without revealing the existence of magic any further.

Shiori herself is unaware of her recovery and transformation - as far as she knows, she survived thanks to extremely good luck and a surgical miracle, and she was transferred to Mahora to make use of their special facilities in the case of possible future complications.
Place of Origin- Earth

Abilities- Her occasional losses of coordination mean she isn't much of a front-line fighter, and she doesn't have much of a talent for magic. She is very resilient, though, and has an extremely high pain threshold. If or when she enters a pactio, her artifact would would open up her combat abilities to include alchemic bombs and healing potions.
Equipment- At the start of the RP, just her school gear. She has easy access to chemistry supplies and equipment, so she could whip up some mundane concoctions if required.

Yovana’s incisors are sharper and stronger than a human’s, though only visibly pointy when she’s agitated or excited. (She does not have cat ears or a tail like the girl in the picture)

Personality:

The relatively young vampire isn’t the most stable person you’ll come across. Her sanity wavers at unpredictable moments, making her seem bi-polar at best and utterly insane at the worst. While she borders on the edge of sadistic, she’s not evil though, not truly. Chaotic would be a better word for it as her idea of fun doesn’t really coincide with regular people’s morals. She’s as likely to have tea and cakes with you as to dangle you off a cliff and watch you flail about.

During her bouts of sanity, she can be smart and level headed, sometimes even taking on leadership qualities. Yovana can be extremely observant when she puts her mind to it, often picking up little details most people would miss. She’s got her many little quirks and a knack for saying the most outrageous things while keeping a completely straight face.

Yovana would occasionally hit on or tease members of either sex she finds attractive or a fun target. However, as she is completely straight, her flirtations with women are just that and nothing more.
