I've done this roleplay a few times on a different board and its always been incredible. The basic premise is your generic superpower roleplay, but the Mod chooses your superpower for you. It usually fits in to the character sheet you've made, and we can have it so the mod gives you three choices on levels from silly, to semi-silly to serious. This is just an Interest Check right now but post your thoughts and we'll see what we can get going.

im interested. generic superhero roleplay as in superheros have celebrity status and keep real identities hidden or they're shunned and attacked by both cops and baddies?

We'll be discovering our powers as we go. Superheroes might be seen as a threat or a boon depending on how player characters act in the first pages of posts.

It could always vary from hero to hero, even. I mean, taking the Marvel universe for example, you've got the Fantastic Four acting as well-loved celebrities next to Spider-man, who is often mistaken for a villain and considered a public menace by the tabloids. If that makes sense.

I'm interested too. Maybe we could go the soft-science horror route and have then all be genetic experiments, and break out of some lab underground?

That might work, but I'm not so sure about it... Then again my suggestion would just be either there was some strange event that somehow lead to a bunch of random people randomly developing superpowers, or... "Mutants!", basically. XD

Mutants was the general idea. Everyone starts on the same level and powers are slowly discovered. We'll all probably start off in a New York-like metropolis and go from there.

Heheh, sounds fun then. I think I already have a character idea in my head now, actually, but we'll see how that turns out. Looking forward to this!
