The Eagle was frantically making last minute adjustments to the venue. Eddie was desperate to make a good first impression on the other heroes. From what limited information he had gleaned from web searches there were some fairly bad ass people in attendance this evening. He looked around and surveyed his handiwork. Well his and the house-servant Eustace's. The new lair was ready. In reality it was a large basement that was once a bit of a man-cave. The centerpiece was the large round table. Among other facilities there was a fully stocked bar, couches, sound-system, desks with PCs and plenty of storage. It had a few secrets up it's sleeve too. Several hidden compartments containing weapons.
Eddie quickly glanced at his phone, 9:55. They'd be arriving soon.
Beatdown was already there. He had parked his bike in an alley across the street and now stood in the shadow's at it's entrance watching the house. The house itself was nothing out of the ordinary. An end terrace, three story town house typical of the neighborhood. It was adjacent to another alleyway where the entrance to the 'Alliance' could be found.
Matt almost hadn't come this evening. He had followed up the message on his website from 'The Eagle' with a background search. It was pretty much a rich kid playing as a superhero. However it wasn't The Eagle who Matt was interested in. He had come to meet the other heroes. Other costumed vigilantes whom he considered capable. He planned to wait upon the arrival of any others. That was at least if they arrived.
