Welcome fellow RolePlayers to the game of Future Now, a virtual reality game designed for the SpiritPilot Gaming system. The SpiritPilot, or SP for short, is designed to intersect the signals your brain sends to your body and instead send them to your avatar within the game. When the game began over a year ago it was the first of its kind, considered to be a breakthrough in the gaming community. People from every corner of the planet, all ages and groups alike banded together to play this VR roleplaying game where you could be anything that you wanted. Unfortunately the AI behind the creation and running of the game made it so perfect and life like that people began to forget the real world. Addicted to the game, they spent less and less time out in the real world until eventually they stopped waking up all together. Blackout was created in order to save the players from themselves, the Peace Keepers to combat the free thinking 'terrorist' group. Once Blackout was winning, now they struggle to get ahead of the new Peace Keeper forces created by their fallen allies. Will Blackout succeed in freeing people from the clutches of a selfish AI or will the Peace Keepers destroy them first? It's up to you, choose your side and take up arms in the fight for Lumin.

In simple terms it's a war for humanity, and a bit of new age cops and robbers. It takes place in a game called Future Now, more specifically a city called Lumin. Blackout is a gang of hackers fighting the system in order to shut the game down. Of course the game is home to an AI who doesn't take lightly to people destroying it. Everything in the game is futuristic from the design and material of the buildings to the hover boards and flying cars. While the types of weapons available in the game aren't considered advanced, they have been remodeled to fit the theme of the game. Energy swords, Force-field shields, laser bows and other unique weapons are available for use and possibly customization. A magic of sorts(a hack used only by Blackout members) is also available for gameplay. Any questions are to be directed to either BoredBrain or myself, you may PM us or leave comments in this thread. Any and all questions are welcome so that we can address things that we might not have thought of during our initial planning stages.
