Ayame smiled at Umichi's response, politefully declining Suki's trade offer as she did so.
"It's nice to see that he's met some really good people here. I'll follow you to help talk him out of going- he's still stubborn at times, as you already know." she said, following Umichi downstairs.
"Hm...? Is everyone ready to go?" he asked as he noticed Umichi calling him. Upon seeing Ayame, though, he glared at Umichi.
"I thought we esta-" he began to say before Umichi began to reason with him. Fujiwara silently nodded at his responses and sighed before looking at Ayame, who had been standing there looking worried about him as much as he had to her. Sighing, Fujiwara nodded at Umichi's statement to stay behind with Ayame.
"...Alright. I understand. You're turning out to be a more rational leader than I thought. We'll remain in the city- though, with 8 hours of sleep and it being 3 in the morning and all I don't think there would be many locations to train." he said before remembering the scroll from yesterday. "Wait, do you still have the scroll from earlier? I think we can kill two birds with one stone- Smiths get up pretty damn early to start working, and the scroll's writer offered to make any weapon for us if we had the materials. I have lots of monster drops stockpiled and Ayame doesn't really 'like' her rapier, so we might be able to get her a custom weapon made by the time day breaks... If I request it, of course." he said, gradually returning to his analytical self. "Towns are safe zones, but I'm still not taking heavy risks. If you're fine with it, I'll spend the next few hours working with Ayame to get her up to speed with the rest of us."
Ayame smiled as Fujiwara seemed to calm down, walking over as he suggested the idea of splitting up to move about the town. Her cheerful demeanor had returned, so she smiled at Umichi and began to speak in turn.
"I honestly don't mind that suggestion. Regardless of my own selfishness, it gives Hideki more reasons to stay in town with me. Don't worry, I learn quickly- I won't keep him from the rest of the group for too long." Ayame said, sitting down on one of the open chairs in the reception area. "Though, to be fair... The only experience I have with fighting is watching my school's fencing team. I've read some manga in my spare time, though, and that bit of sleep let me figure out what I want... If we can get one, of course."
