So I wanted to get the slightly darker history parts done first to get them done and over with, but since it's kinda the season and he's generally not a dark character at all, I figured I'd go with this one first. I had fun writing it. Sorry for the size, though.

So, what does everybody think of these prologue posts as a means to introduce our characters? Does anyone just prefer character sheets? I'm just curious since I've never done this before as a GM and I thought it would be a cool way for everybody to connect with their own characters. Thoughts?

It was interesting to write out a prologue instead of creating a character sheet. I liked shaping and creating a character through a post instead of trying to decide how the character will through a single character sheet. I liked it.

Haha, whoops. However, I have to agree, he is an interesting person though.

I was wondering, have you gotten a hold of those that went MIA? Also I was wondering if you are going to open an interest check to get the spot(s) filled or are you going to leave the roleplay as it is? I'm fine either way if you are wanting to expand things or wanting to keep things small.

I'll be in touch with them soon. I intend on opening an interest check for recruitment after we've done our intro posts.

I think it wouldn't hurt to open the interest check already, especially if the newbies are to be doing introduction posts too. Easier for them to join in, as well.

And yeah, agreed that I rather liked this method as opposed to having a CS!

Well, the idea is they won't be doing the intro stuff we're doing. We'll finish up and then I'll write up character sheets to fill out. For you guys it'll be optional (or much more laid back), but for the newcomers mandatory.
