Congratulations. :) He is on a respirator and sedated. He has had two units of blood already and is stable.

When I posted that he had died, I was on the road, and assumed he was already dead. In a minor miracle, he held on, and surprised me by not in fact being dead. I have been spending all my time at the hospital though, after driving across three states. Thank you for your good wishes.

He is still knocked out and on a ventilator, but he is alive!

I was at home at my parent's house for the week with only a phone and no computer to type posts on. I just got back home tonight, and I am to tired to start posting. I will try to get back into it in the next day or so. Thank you so much for your patience.

My family is handling it O.K. My mother wants him to wake up and still rather upset that they are keeping him sedated. He needs to heal first, before they let him wake up though.

That's understandable. You take all the time you need, and I hope your brother heals the best he can. You never can rush these things and it's better his resting and healing instead of being in pain.
