Alrighty, sorry for how long it took me to get this sheet up. I had to go through a number of drafts before I settled on one I liked. Hopefully he is acceptable.
Name: Adrian
Alias/Title: N/A
Race: Human
Age: 21
Appearance: Weapon Appearance: Weapon Name: Whispered Knowledge
Combat Abilities: Being the mage that he is, Adrian has spent years mastering the various forms of magic. And although he knows about the strengths and weaknesses of each, he has only become proficient in four of them: Ice, Lightning, Reflect, and Magnet. And over the years, Adrian has developed a somewhat unorthodox style of using these. This includes, but is most certainly not limited to, using Magnet on himself in order to quickly pull himself away from an enemy’s attack and using Ice to trip enemies by placing a patch of it right at their feet.
Even though it should be relatively obvious, this mage is all but useless when it comes to a physical fight.
Non-Combat Abilities: Outside of a handful of neat tricks he can do with magic, there is not a whole heck of a lot that Adrian is able to bring to the table outside of battle.
Personality: Despite having left the upper city of Luce behind him in order to become a mage, traces of his upbringing there can still be found in Adrian. From his formal posture to his tone, he can be quite the gentleman without really meaning to at times. That is of course until something peculiar catches his eye, at which point any sense of tact and manners all but leave the man. His curiosity has a tendency to make him single-minded, which has already proven multiple times to be a dangerous trend, but so far he hasn’t ended up in a situation that he at the very least can’t run away from.
He is also honest to a fault, often times neglecting to realize just how hurtful the unedited truth can be and is not afraid to speak up when he doesn’t agree with somebody’s views. Around other people, the mage is generally a laid back and level-headed guy that takes a while to warm up to new people. But once he gets past his aloofness, he values those bonds greatly, even if he does a poor job showing it.
History: To most people, being born as the middle child to a well off family in upper Luce would have been a blessing to most people. To Adrian, the blessing was quite stifling. Even from a young age it was clear from his constant adventures, which came down to him sneaking away from his lessons, that the upper class lifestyle held very little interest for the boy. It only got worse as he got older, as more and more rules and formalities were expected from him. There was very little effort put into his distaste for it all.
After being exposed to the world of magic at the age of ten, a spark of interest ignited inside of Adrian that would prove impossible to put out. It only took the small boy a year to convince his parents to let him become a mage’s apprentice. After all, his older brother, Dominic, was practically made to take over the family’s business. With little hesitation, the young boy entered into a ten year apprenticeship to a mage.
The years of learning that followed were a lot less comfortable than Adrian had initially imagined them to be, but he did not regret his decision for a moment. His passion for magic had proven to be more than an idle fancy, and it is almost not an exaggeration to say that he lived and breathed it for the next decade. He was no prodigy by any means, but the unusual way he went about applying the various concepts that he absorbed made him unique in its own right. And above all, his need to learn more propelled him to all but devour the various tomes him master kept.
The Fracturing, however, would give the mage, who had just finished his apprenticeship mere months ago, something entirely new to pursue. Not only did Adrian want to figure out what exactly caused his city to literally tear itself apart, but he also wanted to discern the nature behind the strange creatures that had emerged. So with little more than one of his master’s tomes as a focus, the young man set off on the next chapter of his life.
Reputation: There are not many residents of Luce that would recognize the relatively young mage.
