Alexandrian Contact
The Spider nodded its monstrous head, and moved to the left from the Supreme with a very smooth ease, several of her back legs climbing up onto the large Corvette behind her, and in a resonant voice that was spoken telepathically, she responded.
"We are not the last. This is only one ship of a fleet, though this is our largest ship. Each three of us are but billions on just this one ship, and there live millions and billions more on other ships. We are an ancient race, and each of us will live more than a millennia. The Captain of this ship has been rumored to be eternal; he was the leader that organized our kind and turned us into a fleet that roamed the stars at our very beginning, near the very beginning of this universe. If you ask us how, we will have no answer. As to our intentions, we are content to watch passively, and may help every other emergency. And you, little Victorians... perhaps they could grow if you let them. Give them some freedom, things to work with. They might surprise you. If they don't, then they don't, and nothing bad happens. But if they do, and they make something of serious use, then you will go down in history for unlocking the true power of having the Victorians as little servants. Although I pity you; there are so much more efficient ways to enslave a race."
And then the Spider said to a single, select Victorian:
"Are you scared little one? Can you hear me?"
