“Give me 20 on red 7 and 9.” The stranger slides onto the bar stool across from your counter, passing a stack of coins to you.
You glance down at his coins and slide them into your palm before setting the spinner off. A ball drops from the claws of the contraption and spins round… And round… And round…. “Sorry old timer,” you say, “But it’s at black 22. Better luck next time.”
“Oh that’s alright,” the elderly man chuckles, reaching into his pocket, presumably for more coins, “I tend to have very good luck.”
You kneel down to eye level with the small box of coins and drop his in before rising again to deal with the customer. Instead, you are greeted with the familiar click of a gun, and a barrel pointed right between your eyes. “Ah, so it’s like that?” you say with a sigh, raising your arms up, “I’m afraid that’s not a wise decision, sir.”
The old man lets out a bark of laughter, “Says the person with a gun pointed to their head? Now, c’mon, you know who sent me and why.”
Of course you do, after all you’re not a moron. “One last chance, old man.” Your patience wears thin, and your formal speech is dropped quickly.
He doesn’t reply, his finger so so close to the trigger. You sigh again, and before he can react, your elbow slams down on his arm. The gun fires, narrowly missing your temple. But of course, that’s not your concern, deftly sliding over the gambling table, your feet collide with his chest and knock him to the ground. The always present gun in the inner pocket of your vest is pulled out for perhaps the third time this week, and is pressed to the old man’s head. He’s quivering, shaking in fear. Looks like he was a mercenary who didn’t know who he was up against. “Sorry sir, it’s company policy.” And while he’s trying to decipher your words, you pull the trigger.
Bang.

Dusty Roads looks like a normal casino, and by all means, it almost is. Both outside and inside betray nothing, and functions perfectly normally. However, behind the cheery smiles and clinking coins, there lies a darker secret.
It’s pretty widely known that this particular casino has gotten itself involved in gang affairs, however, being one of the largest and most prominent gambling areas many people take the risk and visit. The staff and owner tries to hide as much of it as possible from the public eye, but every so often, shady men step in to “talk to the boss”, or perhaps a shootout now and again.
It all started with loan sharks, taking money from the wrong people, and almost no way to pay it back. However, instead of sitting quietly and taking the abuse, they armed themselves, and took out their problems, one by one. Unfortunately, this caused many problems and made many rivals. However, it’s nothing the staff can’t handle, each and every one of them specializing in a particular set of skills, they all are aware of the dangers, and capable of handling themselves, thank-you-very-much. Troublesome customers appear every now and again, but they are always deal with quickly.
Oh sure, they’ve taken advantage of their new place in the dirty underground. Maybe some illegal substances, or perhaps a mainframe hacking here or there. Something just enough so they can cover their tracks again.
Yet there’s trouble brewing. As tensions rise from a deal gone bad, rivals had made themselves known more and more frequently within the casino. With violence escalating, Dusty Roads is beginning to lose business.
They are ready to take matters into their own hands.
Oh yes, just a friendly little casino.
