[IC] Dark Retaliation

The first thought that came to her mind was simple. What a bunch of idiots! Look at them! Did they really think they could get away with something like this? She was sure the cops or someone else would catch on to them, or whatever authority governed this tiny human world. Of course, she knew all too well from experience that those who broke the law usually were never rightfully punished for it.

Except her law. Her laws always stood in check and balance. A rule of the world so to say. They were certainly no exception to it either. She didn't know why the group of teenage girls decided to kidnap one of their own, bring them to the woods, only to point a gun to their face.

This she could not understand.

What she could comprehend however, was that it was their time to leave. She didn't even think twice about saving the girl with the glasses and the wheat blonde hair. That was just a by-product. An afterthought. Still, it happened. Five teenage cheerleaders with a gun, dropping dead like flies.

How pathetic.

And so as she went down to collect and guide these sorry souls, the second thought finally made itself present to Ariel, the Angel of Death, and it was directed right at the spared bespectacled girl.

The other girl...looked kinda cute.

Zendra sat on the ground tears rolling down her eyes she had no idea what happened, it all went so fast, she was staring down the barrel of a gun the cheer captain saying things that Zendra did not understand all she could do was watch as she was about to shoot her point blank in the head, then they were all on the ground...dead "wh...what" she looked up seeing someone standing among the bodies "who...what happ.." as Zendra stared at her she passed out now laying on the ground.

"AHHHHH!!!" she sat up breathing heavy looking around and soon realized she was in her own bed at home and it was day out "a dream?" she looked around confussed then heard her mother yell up to her that she was going to be late for school if she didn't get moving, Zendra quickly jumped out of bed and got dressed running down the stairs and out the door making her way to school.

all she could think about was that dream, Molly and the rest of her cheer leading squad grabbed her on her way back from the library tossed her in the trunk of their car and drove out to the woods it seemed so real but then she remembered the other girl who killed her would be killers Zendra could remember her face so vividly then nothing else, before she knew it she was at school there was alot of talking going on and as she got into the school she seen it...and her stomach turned, it was a memorial to the girls she dreamt of alot of the other girls were crying at the foot of it.

Zendra grabbed someone who was off to the side "what happened?" she asked the guy and he told her that the girls were killed in the woods last night the police have no idea what happened, Zendra's eyes went wide and she started to shake before walking away, then ran into the girls bathroom where no one else was "it was a dream...please....this cant be real"

A soft humming echoed across the restroom. No particular song in mind, just a slow melody of sorts. The source of said humming then proceeded to thoroughly wash her hands and....pause once she heard the sobbing. For she knew the exact origin and reason of such sorrow. Smiling, Ariel walked up to the stall and gently knocked on the exterior.

"Hello? Is someone in there?" She knew there was.

Placing her palm on the lock, she concentrated for a moment. In mere seconds, the restroom lock had crumbled away into black dust, leaving no prior indication that it was even there. "I'm coming in now, ok?" Opening the door, Ariel smiled widely as she already guessed who it was. The girl from the other night before.

Ariel herself wore a dark and dressy atire, her black hair almost covering one eye. The eye that could be seen however was a deep and dark red color. Was she an albino? And was this some kind of new fashion statement? Lunging forward, Ariel embraced the bespectacled girl in a hug, gently nudging her on the shoulder.

"You did survive after all! I knew you were stronger than those other girls!"

Well this was akward.

Zendra's mind was going at hypersonic speed she did not really even notice the lock disappear when the door swung open "wh...OH MY GOD!" she was freaked out recognizing the face she seen the night before and before she could run or scream she was hugged "pl...please don't hurt me i don't want to die" tears rolled down her face, she was terrified and confused why she was being hugged.

"you...you killed those girls in the woods...why" she was slowly starting to think more clearly and she slowly pushed away from the hug and fixed her glasses "you...you saved me, they were going to...kill me and you save me...why?" she asked taking deep breaths and calming herself now getting a better look at the girl in front of her

"Aw! It's ok!" Ariel tried once more to try and hug her before stopping once she saw the other girl was too emotionally damaged. For a brief second, she narrowed her eyes in thought. So this girl hadn't seen how she killed those students. Just the fact that she did. How interesting....

"Why?" Ariel took a step back, her crimson eye registering some kind of unforeseen emotion. "It was their time," she answered softy and coldly. "Their time to die. All things die...even you...." Her gaze focused back on the girl in front of her now. "But not you," she said, as if woken up from a long dream. "You survived...I spared you....I guess because...."

A pause. Then a smile. "You look cute when you're whimpering in fear!"

Glomping the girl once more, she leaned over to her ear and whispered. "My name's Ariel. What's yours? I think I like you...."

Zendra was even more confused and fearful as she listened to what was being told to her "Zen...Zendra" she said meekly as she was attached to once again "their time?....what, i don't understand, this is not making any sense" as she sat in the stall with Ariel on her she placed her hand on the small of her back "Dont think I am ungrateful, you saved me from being the body the found this morning...so thank you"

she started realize if it was not for Ariel, she would have been shot she was here now because of her but that did not make her feel any more safe or unafraid that she might be next "ar...are you a student here?" she asked trying to get her mind off what they were talking about, she fixed her glasses again her hair falling over her face as she did.

"Hmm? Student?" Ariel released Zendra from her grip to look at her. "School huh...well..." She grinned at her new "friend" with glee. "If it means I'll be closer to you, then sure I'm a student! Just consider me your guardian angel now, if it makes you fell any better." Taking Zendra's hand, Ariel led her out of the stall and out the hallway. Class would begin soon enough, and she didn't want to be late for her supposed first day here.

"Hey, why did those girls wanna kill you anyway?" She said it with no disregard to the fact that they were dead. To her, it was a work of life and nature. Unbeknownst to Zendra, it was also her job, but she refrained from saying so. The poor girl nearly had a heart attack the other day as well as having a brush with death.

Literally.

No, she'd keep her identiy hidden for the time being. "So? What'd you do? Piss one of them off? Steal one of their boyfriends? Didn't your friends try to save you or something? You do have friends....right Zendra?"

"guardian angel?" she asked as Zendra followed, she was being partly dragged. she thought about the why "my dad...he is a cop, he was involed in the arrested of one of the girl's father in a big organized crime bust" she sighed deeply and shook her head at another question "no...I dont have any friends in this school" she did not want to dwell to much on that fact, she was always the shy meek girl in school almost invisible.

the bell soon rang and they came on the class room where Zendra was assigned and she walked in looking at the floor as she walked to her desk without anyone even looking at her, except for a few snickers from some of the people who bullied her sometimes, Zendra heard the snickering thinking something was going to happen but before she could act on it, she sat down and her chair gave out from under her and she hit the floor ass first, and the class looked at her and laughed, some even yelled out names at her about breaking the chair.

she closed her eyes and slowly stood back up taking off her glasses to rub her eyes before she started to sob. the teacher crossed her arms and told Zendra to stop messing around and sit down.

Seeing Zendra in distress, Ariel got out of her own desk and led Zendra to it. "Here," she said softly. "You can have mine." Dead silence followed in the classroom as student and teacher alike stared at her in wonder. Who was she? When did she get here? Startled by the sudden appearance more so than the act of generosity, the teacher flipped through his clipboard to try and locate her name. When he failed, he have Ariel a bewildered look.

"Who...are you again?"

Ariel giggled. "Don't you remember Mr. Morrison? I transferred in last week!" Wait, she did? Apparently so, because Mr. Morrison simply shook his head to affirm her words. "Yes....that's right...well, thank you for your kindess towards Zendra. We'll get you another desk shortly.

By now, the other students were in the same trance, even the ones who had bullied Zendra just moments before. Everyone was acting as if they knew Ariel already. It didn't really take long to find another desk, and Ariel placed it right next to Zendra's seat. Giving the other girl a small wink, she leaned over to whisper.

"Those people that sabatoged your seat? Can you point them out to me really quick?"

Zendra sat back down her face flush in embarrassment "thanks...Ariel" she looked to the floor and heard the teacher talk to Ariel and agree that she came to the class last week, Zendra looked over to Ariel as she sat down beside her.

"if I had to guess it was Tina and Megan" she pointed over to the far end of the class room to 2 girls talking to each other laughing "they hated me since like 5th grade" she sighed and pulled out her text book from her desk. "Im not very popular around here" she slid off her glasses from her face and set them on her desk then looked over to Ariel her big brown eyes looking over to her new neighbour "but at least i have someone to talk you now" she said before shifting in her seat.

Zendra was unsure what to do, Ariel saved her life so she felt abit safe with her around, on the other hand she never seen her before in her life before she seen her kill the group of girls and it seems everyone knows her but how.

"Tina and Meagen, huh?" A grin began to spread on Ariel's face and for a brief moment only, her crimson eye seemed to flicker and gleam with dark intentions. But it was only for a moment, and Ariel laughed it off like nothing was amiss. "I see...those are the names of trash, don't you think?"

Time suddenly seemed to slow down. It wasn't like they were frozen or anything, but everyone and everything around them was certainly moving at a much slower pace. The smirk on Ariel's face confirmed that yes, she was indeed and in fact the one responsible for this anamoly.

Whatever she was doing, it didn't seem to bother either her or Zendra at all. Taking this to her advantage, the dark haired girl leaned over until she was practically sharing Zendra's desk. "Tell me....what did they do to you Zendra?" She softly placed a hand on the other girl's cheek, caressing it softly.

"Tell me. Tell me in exact detail. I want to know what they did to bully you, who else was involved, why did it start in the first place....?" Giggling lightly, she leaned in closer to whisper into Zendra's ear. "I want to know...because I want to help you. Protect you. To make sure they never do those things to you again." She looked into Zendra's eyes now, her red eye now alit with unread emotion.

"I...want to kill them too. For you, Zendra."

Her voice was calm but tense with the threat of all sorts of unfortunate implications.

Zendra looked around her mind blown from what she was seeing "what....how are you doing this?" she asked looking into her face, she seen she was serious in what she said and it was then Zendra felt something she never felt for a long time....safe "you would do that....for me?" she asked as her face was caressed.

"i knew them since i was young, we used to be friends back when we were really young, then I was labelled the weird kid and they drifted....then joined in on the teasing, soon it was them leading it, the older we got the worse it became teasing turned to pushing, pushing turned to punching...they terrorized me all last year" Zendra looked around the room watching everything pass slowly around them.

"i told my mom...she told me kids are cruel, i told my teachers they told me to ignore them....you are the first person to offer me any help" she smiled at Ariel leaning her head into Ariel's hand on her cheek.

Ariel grinned widely once Zendra started to return her affections. She brought herself closer to the other girl's ear, practically breathing into it. But something was off. Something miniscule, yes, but off putting all the same. Ariel's breath was ice cold, as if she was devoid of all warmth. Her voice brought with it a chilly stream of air as she leaned in.

"I'll protect you...don't worry...I'll make sure no one hurts you ever again...as for what's going on, all I can tell you is that time has been slowed down and altered." She giggled. "To a certain degree at least...anyway, I'll make those two suffer for you...ok?"

Moving back to her desk Ariel gave her a wink and a wave before focusing her attention back to the lesson at hand. Time had started to move forward once again, and Ariel kept exchanging glances at the two targets that lay before her.

Tina and Meagen. She gently brushed her hair back and smiled.

This would be fun.

Zendra was starting to realize Ariel was not a normal girl but at that moment she was okay with it, it has been so long since she had someone who she felt safe and protected by someone. Zendra watched as the world around them caught back up to them, and she noticed Ariel making glances at Tina and Megan.

She would also find herself looking elsewhere instead of in her note book, but her eyes went to Ariel, there was so much she did not know about her, so much she wanted to know and probably some she didn't. Zendra went back to the lesson the teacher was giving taking notes and book marking important spots in the textbook, soon bell rang and the class was over. everyone got up around them and gathered up their things, Zendra stayed seated it was a habbit of hers to wait until everyone else was gone before she left.

But as fate would dictate, Zendra would not be spared just because she waited for everyone else to leave. In fact, quite the opposite was about to happen. Ariel grinned. Fate was about to be splintered on this day. Diverged to insure the benefits of another. Tina and Meagen spotted Zendra at her usual spot and took no hesitation to stride right up to her.

"Hey there Zendra! Sorry about your accident this morning," Tina said.

Meagen nodded in agreement. "Yeah, such a shame...but hey, I promise it won't happen again! Just so long as you, oh I dunno....maybe share your math notes for next period?"

The two girls giggled. They both knew it wasn't so much a question rather a demand for the notes. Seeing the event unfold before her, Ariel calmly walked up to Zendra, giving her a warm embrace. "Sorry, but Zendra doesn't like talking to trash. It makes her breath stink, you know?"

She stuck her tongue out at the two girls in a playful manner, challenging the both of them to do something about it. While she did that, her left hand absently began stroking Zendra's cheek and the dark haired girl brought her face closer to hers.

"Well? Are you gonna stand here all day like staring cows?"

Zendra looked down at her desk, and reached for her math notes another submission to these girls, but before she could hand them over she felt the embrace of Ariel and her heart jumped when she watched the pair of bullies face's sour as they heard the remarks Ariel sent their way.

the girls then started to laugh "you see that Tina...Zendra actually had to go carpet munching to find someone to stick up for her, what's wrong Zen...you got sick of all the boys thinking you were disgusting so you went with....this "girl" " Meagan put her fingers up in air quotes as she said girl and laughed again Tina smirked and looked Ariel in the face.
"if you knew what was good for you butch...you would step along and not get involved"

Zendra looked at them both her eyes going from her desk to each of the girls "just...please leave me....us alone"

"So I'm a boy now, is that it?" In one fluid motion too fast for anyone to react, Ariel got closer to Tina and Meagen, only a mere few inches away from their face. "Is this what you two do to entertain your pathetic lives? Honesty, you two are just swine on this earth," she said darkly.

She looked at Tina first. "You fit in by hurting others, so you take pleasure in that. All to hide the fact that your nothing but a slut and a whore who will get off on any boy that comes her way." Ariel grinned right in her face. "You can deny it all you want, but trust me, the whole school knows by now."

She then rounded on Meagen. "And you. You just want Daddy's approval for, what, the twelfth boyfriend this month? Just because a dog like you is unloveable in this world, you find the need to force it on others. Nothing but a bitch who's too scared to see her own ugly reflection in the mirror." She giggled. "I bet neither of your children could ever stand to gaze upon such sad excuses for humans. Oops! That's assuming some sucker gets seduced by you two."

Ariel returned to her position next to Zendra, holding her tighter than before. "Zendra here...my sweet and loving Zendra is pure. Untainted by such low life like you." Something flickered in Ariel's red eyes, and for a brief moment her voice became soft and icy and her face became stoic with understanding.

"You two should just disappear. You only cause Zendra pain and sorrow. You two....should just die already."

Ignoring their reactions, Ariel focused all her attention now on the bespectacled girl. She leaned in close to her ear and whispered.

"What's their punishment, huh? Please....make it sweet and painful. I'll do anything you say.~" The dark haired girl extended her tongue out and began to slowly coat Zendra's ear and cheek with small licks and kisses.

Zendra watched in amazement as Ariel cut them down, inch by inch until they seemed to be dirt under Ariel's heel, she continued to listen and watch as their the other two girl's faces danced with fear and hate, when found herself back in Ariel's arms, and the girls looked at them both as Ariel kissed and licked her neck and cheek, Zendra knew she had a chance to gain the power here, power over these two harpies who tormented for so long.

turning her face to Ariel she leaned in and softly whispered "I want them to suffer....slow...." Zendra never gave much thought to this moment, but the dominance Ariel showed as intoxicating to her, before she finished her call of punishment, she leaned in and kissed Ariel on the lips before breaking the kiss "bury them alive" she whispered softly her face blushed as she still tasted Ariel's lips on hers she turned back to the girls and gave them a look she summoned from the darkest part of her "bury them deep" she rested her head on what ever part of Ariel she could find.

Ariel froze and her eyes widened at the sudden kiss Zendra placed on her lips. After a few moments, she closed her eyes and let Zendra take over the rest, a soft moaning sound being heard. Death had fallen for a human. Was that so wrong? Certainly forbidden, but it wasn't like the balance of the universe would collapse on them or anything.

No, Death was smitten. Captured and entrapped by the innocence of one girl. A human girl. Ariel would become her tool. Her weapon against the world, because why the hell not? Lifting Zendra's face to meet her own, Ariel focused her red eye to match Zendra's.

"This...will only take a second."

Death chuckled as Zendra's vision began to turn red. A dark, deep crimson color. This was her world. Ariel's world. She showed Zendra what she would do. The fate of these two girls.

They'd walk home this very day, taking a shortcut. Some construction site. It didn't matter the place, just the deed. They'd slip. Slip into cement or dirt or shit. Ariel didn't care! They'd be buried by some malfunctioned machinery, left to rot in their tomb and suffocate like the cattle they were. It would be a whole week until the authorities would find the bodies.

Pathetic. This was their future. And it began today.

"It's done...." Laying her head on Zendra's shoulder, Ariel blushed and began nudging it affectionately. "Did I do good?" A low pure rumbled from her throat.

Meanwhile, Tina and Meagen just watched the two with confused looks on their faces.

Zendra took a deep breath, breathing heavy from what she say before she could say anything the two other girls rolled their eyes and walked away mumbling something about freaks and some other hateful things, Zendra looked to Ariel unsure of what happened.

"woah....,did you show me what will happen?" her brown eyes meeting Ariel's and her hand found hers aswell and she laced her fingers with hers holding her hand "Ariel....who are you, I just met you and you changed my life forever" her thumb slowly moved back and forth caressing Ariel's hand as she held it "I feel there is alot I don't know about you"

the next bell rang they were already late for the next class but Zendra did not care "lets take a early lunch, my mind is racing" she smiled and leaned back into Ariel and gave her another kiss, she never fell for someone so fast so hard before, but Ariel was the first person to show her affection and wanted to protect her.
