1. Where do you think each of the characters (other than your own!) fall on the scale of Lawful/Neutral/Chaotic and Good/Neutral/Evil? Try to provide a brief explanation to support your choices.

Felicia: Lawful Neutral- Its clear that she relies on an ordered society in order to make a living, but she doesn't really stand out as either good or evil.

Kaiver: Neutral Good- A good man that would do anything for his family. I get the impression that he wouldn't let the word of the law get in the way of doing good.

Naklov: Lawful Neutral- This is a man that has seen and done a lot over the course of his life; Maybe a bit to much to consider himself a good man anymore but he will not let a threat to his way of life stand if he can help it.

Jira: Chaotic Neutral- No other category would suit Jira in the slightest.

Izzaz: Neutral Evil- Ones physical shape doesn't define if they are good or evil; Their actions and motivations do. Izzaz has proven time and time again that he is only in it for himself and will do just about anything to achieve his own ends. However while his actions might appear chaotic and clearly they appear to be impulsive, Izzaz seems smart enough not to do anything that would bring the wrath of the local authorities down on his head.

Idris: ???- I haven't seen enough of this man to to make a proper call as to his alignment just yet.

Mila: Chaotic Good- Lawful Kokiri stay in their forests and be good little children. Mila wanders the world with hope and happiness in her heart.

Veitaru: Chaotic Neutral- Veitaru seems the sort who would look after herself however she needs to, but doesn't seem the malicious sort.

Cain: Lawful Evil- Since Cain's only desire is to locate Princess Midna and return home by any means, Cain fits into the role of Lawful Evil quite nicely.

Frore: True Neutral- Being good or evil requires one to be sapient. While sentient, Frore appears to lack the higher intelligence required to be anything but true neutral for good or ill.

2. What would your character(s) overall opinion(s) be of each of the other characters based on a first impression (assuming they were being introduced as partners to achieve some sort of goal)?

Magus would likely view almost everyone in largely the same way; Indifferent but with a level of interest in what abilities they bring to the group. There are exceptions however...

Jira - If Jira acts around Magus the way he has currently been doing around the festival, Magus will write him off as an idiot and his involvement in any operation would be the sign that things are truly starting to get desperate.

Cain- A source of both comfit and confusion. While encountering another resident of the Twilight Realm is a minor comfit, some of the things that he talks about makes no sense what so ever. It is fully possible that Cain's exile into the world of light has slowly driven him to madness over time, causing him to suffer from disillusions. A tragic fate to be sure, but might be worth prodding a little to see if madness has presented new insight into shadow magic.

3. Going back in time, if your character(s) were 6 years old, what would they say if asked about the following: Favorite food? Least favorite food? Favorite animal? Favorite person? Talents? Dream house? Dream job?

Favorite food- "I'm not sure what mum calls it, but she says that its got inkhearts in it and that its good for me. It tastes awesome!"
Least Favorite Food- "Eggplant. Even the name sounds unnatural; What kind of moster would plant eggs to grow such a horrible thing?!"
Favorite animal - "I like a number of animals. Dad told me that the animals I like to watch are all Cre-pus-cu-lar, but they all look so different!"
Favorite person - "Dad of course! He is so awesome! He gets to tinker with all these really old things and he always has the most awesome bed time stories to tell."
Talents - "Mum and Dad both say that I seem to have a talent for making stuff do things their not meant to."
Dream House - "I like where we live now. I don't want to move."
Dream Job - "I want to be like Dad when I grow up, playing with really old things and learning all the cool stories!"

4. Do you have any favorite characters so far? Player characters, NPCs, whatever? (Try not to pick your own character, you narcissistic punks!) Provide a brief explanation as to why you like them so much.

Mila. Admittingly its because she is the only one to really take the time to talk with Magus, but her trust in him to keep his word has earned her some points with him.

5. What are your predictions for the story thus far? Any comments, concerns, or things you’re hoping to see?
To early to predict where this story is going to go; More interesting to see which character is going to die first and why.

After reading a few of the other surveys, I've realized that I probably cast a few of the characters, most notable Felicia and Naklov, as too good. Perhaps I was thinking more along the lines of conventions in the Zelda franchise (in which the townspeople are almost always good) and not in reality. Hmm...

Hehe, I think I'm the only person who thought Kaiver wasn't a good guy. :P

Hey, Lug, at this point, it's as much our gut feelings as actual stuff they've posted so far, because the thread hasn't progressed that far. I share your gut feelings that those two are good guys. :P

Everything's going just fine. One of the advantages of being in four roleplays is that usually at least one will be active, so I can't say I've been bored.

Heh, I wasn't able to do anything because everyone is already roleplaying with Baklava, at least, those who are still with us.

Veitaru must be one hell of a smart kid to be able to see through the adult Royal Spymaster (who's been in the business long before Vei was born) like that, not to mention having already figured out Cain was a separate entity from Frore and being thoroughly unimpressed with the both of them. Cain must truly have been a terrible spymaster to be able to fool, frighten, or even catch the attention of nobody.

She didn't see through the Royal Spymaster. She didn't figure it out. She simply ignored them because they used all the strategy of schoolyard bullies with their earlier "Let's talk to the other person and pretend Vei isn't here while insulting Vei in a tone she can hear". They've already lost all chance to impress her through flashy words. First Impressions of your character for Vei were horrible.

And she's not terrified of most monsters*, otherwise she'd be useless on the adventure. So your strangeness doesn't impress her. Well, it would have, if she wasn't already hellbent on disliking and ignoring you. In case you believe I'm out of character to have her react so strongly to such a small slight, let me draw your attention to her personality. "Motivation: Vengeance"

*Various undead being important exception.

I guess I misunderstood about exactly what she figured out and the nature of her reaction then. I had assumed that she knew that Cain was trying to manipulate her, not that she just thought he was being a bully, as you've pointed out. Now that you've explained that, everything works out.

Lethe: I Came Out to Have a Good Time and I'm Honestly Feeling So Attacked Right Now.

In other news... Vei talks unlike any 10 year old child I have ever met. She's extremely mentally and emotionally advanced for her age, I think.... Not that that's necessarily a bad thing-- just a bit abnormal, in my opinion. Simply an observation.

Alsooo... Heilix... who is Master Izark? He sounds kinda important... so....

That is because, as not a ten year old, I have difficulty with it, especially, since when I was 14 and I had friends who were ten, they all wanted me to GM their DnD games between chess games. That's not exactly normal 10 year olds for reference, I think. One was direly sarcastic and never showed when anything bothered him or when he liked anything. I still can't tell when he likes anything.

So, advice would be appreciated, and we'll chalk up the times when she talks too old as trying to imitate her Father, as well as "life on the streets experience" and "badass Sheikah training". It will be necessary to do that sometimes, as otherwise she'll just be a complete liability in combat.

Moved myself up in the post order so Frore and Cain wouldn't post as if they had actually gotten the clothes.

For those playing at home, this is what Magus's voice sounds like:

He is, of course, the hooded figure.

Well... age 10 is around when kids generally start to enter that fork in the road where they either say "I don't want to grow up!" or "I want to be a grown up now!" (In Vei's case, I'd assume the later, but I dunno). It's pretty much when they start getting to be independent though... and also when they start to worry a lot about fitting in and what "the norm" is supposed to be. They also begin to develop better reasoning skills, which can result in cheeky smart-alec remarks-- Vei seems to be chalk full of those (and it's delightfully entertaining, even if a good portion of it is just inner dialogue). They can also get to be very over-confident... something I definitely see in Vei. (10 is also around where puberty starts to happen... so for a young girl on her own whose body is starting to get all weird-- and with no motherly figure to shed light on the situation-- it must be rough.)

I think you still portray and grasp it all very well. She just seems very keen on things is what I was saying-- like being able to tell Cain was not only being mean, but manipulative. Using sarcasm was the biggest thing though. It's a pretty un-childish thing to do, but it's believable given her background (i.e. she probably had more exposure to it...). Given all that's happened to her, it doesn't seem farfetched for her to be more mentally mature-- I just have yet to see the problems that are caused by 'trying to grow up too quickly' affect her. It's early in the story, so it's fine.

Funny, I pictured him sounding more like the blonde.

Sorry I haven't posted yet. It's been a busy week and I've been on duty today since 8AM. On my phone right now. I'll try to stave off sleep when I get off at 8 tomorrow and have something up.
