[IC] A Whole New World

"I know. I know." Zack shouted at the sirens blaring around him. He didn't know what had knocked him off course but he was heading towards the planet faster then was safe. When he began searching the galaxy for his soul mate he had never imagined something like this happening. There was nothing he could do to prevent the crash. The only thing he could do was to try to crash in a relatively remote place. He didn't want anyone to get hurt because of his miscalculation. He aimed for a large field. The ship shot as to speed to the earth. Zack knew there would be little to no thing left of his ship when he landed. As the ground got closer Zack prayed that he would survive. Zack was knocked uncontious when his ship slammed into the earth.

Keita who was out on one of her walks ended up finding him, she didn't notice the space ship wreckage mostly but was more concerned about the unconscious man before her. "Hey are you ok?" she asked him and tried to get him to wake up. She pulled him out of the wreckage a little more and sighed "What is he doing out here anyway?" she said and sighed before she checked he was defiantly alive "Ok defiantly awake and alive, that's one good thing, now then we better get him somewhere safe, let's see, my house isn't too far but he's quite heavy" she frowned and sat down beside him waiting until eh regained consciousness instead but still made sure he wasn't severely injured or bleeding first.

Zack groaned. His body ached but he didn't think he was seriously injured. Atleast he hadnt thought so until he tried to stand. "Shit that's not good." He said as he opened his eyes. He looked himself over. His leg seemed to be his worse injury. Satisfied that he was going to survive the crash Zack turned his attention to his surroundings. That is when he saw a beautiful woman standing next to him. "Are you hurt?"

Keita looked to him raising an eyebrow "Shouldn't I be asking you that, Anyway I have a first aid kit at home and should be able to sort your leg out there" she moved to help support him while he walked "and i'm fine I just found you here and dragged you form that thing, what on earth happened" she lead the way back to hers and got him to sit down, the place had the odd unfinished painting scattered around and a collect of paints and other materials around as well. She found the first aid kit which she brought out and got to work sorting out his leg. "Well can I get an answer?"

Zack chucked at her impatience. She didn't really give him a chance to answer. The walk to her house had been short but it hard left him breathing heavy. He wasn't use to the air on this planet. "I am glad that you are uninjured. I tried to crash somewhere there wasn't any beings." He explained with a wince. "I was knocked off course on my way to your planet. I lost control of my ship."

She blinked a moment as what he'd said sunk in "Ok so that was your spaceship and you're an alien is basically what you're saying and you ended up crashing into this field not far from my house?' she asked him as if confining what he'd just told her making her more than a little confused "Ok and why are you coming here anyway?"

"Yes. I am basically an alien from outer space." Zack told her with a chuckle. He was surpised at how well she was taking this. He didn't think that he would be so calm if their roles were reversed. "That pile of metal was once my ship. I did not intend to crash, but atleast no one else was hurt. I am traveling across the galaxy in search of my soulmate."

"Well I wish you luck on that, but I doubt you'll be going far with just that pile of metal unless you can repair it yourself that is" she said to him "and it's quite a remote area, only i live out here and town is a good hour away walking and 30 minted driving" she said to him. "and if your an alien then why do you look so human?" she asked bluntly. She might be acting calm but inside her head was in panic mode wondering what on earth was going on.

"I doubt i could repair it with the damage that was done by the crash. Even if I could i doubt you have the parts I need. Walking is out if the question for the time being." Zack said pointing to his broken leg. There is no way he could get very far for awhile. "As for my appearance not every alien race looks the same. My race has a simular appearance to yours."

"I see anyway you can borrow the spare room since you can't exactly walk and taking you to a hospital isn't an option either, they go rather nutty over aliens here" she said to him before thinking a moment "Well you'll be staying in bed a few days with the broken leg and I'll have to see what I can do about it, I did training but I'm not the best" she said bluntly thinking a moment before searching her shelves for stuff"

"I will heal in time. It isn't a bad break. Dont tire yourself on my account. Thank you for allowing me the use of your home. I hope I am not too much of an inconivience." Zack told her as he watched her rammsge through her shelves. He wondered if her methods would work on him."

"All broken legs heal in time" she said "and it's fine, I've not sued that room for a while and being out here it's nice to have a bit of company" she then noticed her cockatoo had gotten out and was looked to the strange, waddling over it seemed to climb up his good leg and sit there looking at him. "Hey, what've i told you about getting out of your cage?" she put her arm down and it climbed on."My name is Keita by the way and this naughty bird here is Calcifer and your name is?"

" I don't mind if Calcifer wants to visit me." Zack replied with a smile. He studied the small creature in her hands. "What is he exactly? What does he do besides escape his cage?" Zack questioned her curiously. "He seems to be a lovely creatures. Very different from anything he had seen before. "You may call me Zaxk."

"He a bird, more specifically a parrot called a cockatoo, people keeps them as pets sometimes and Calcifer here is nearly 18 years old" she said "he was a family pet when I got him and ended up coming with me since i'm the one he became really attached to" she said scratching the bird behind his crest "He does bite sometimes but here" she moved his hand to stroke the birds wing. "and he's just curious he can talk and do tricks as well, also they can live up to 80 years maybe more I forget" she explained to him "and he shouldn't escape his cage, Calcifer shoulder" she said and the bird walked up her arm and sat on her shoulder grooming her hair as he did before she helped Zack to his feet "We should get you to the room soon so you can rest" helping him get there she helped him into the bed and thought for a moment wondering if she had any of her brother's clothes from when he stayed over when him and his wife were having a fight. The bird meanwhile decided he'd stay with Zack for a bit and investigate the strange male that had entered his house.

"A bird." Zack repeated thoughtfully. He liked the little creature. "What is the purpose of a pet?" He asked as she took his hand and helped him stroke the creature." He liked the way the little creature felt under his hand. The feathers were soft. He like the way her hand felt in his more. Her hands were soft too but in a different way. He groaned as she helped him to his frets. "I am sorry to make you go to so much effort for me. He breathed a sigh if relief when she helped him to the bed. "Thank you for everything." He laid back and closed his eyes.

"Companionship mainly it's nice to have a creature to keep you company" she said to him and when the strange man seemed to be sleeping the bird crawled or rather waddled carefully up the bed looking at him before it flew down from the bed and walked out the room to find it's owner who was in the kitchen preparing something to eat "He sleeping?" she asked figuring that'd be the only reason her curious bird would loose interest so quickly. He seemed to nod his head before asking for a scratch. She put the meal to the side for him covering it for later while she ate her own. "Some day huh?" she asked the bird as she scratched it.

Zack dozed for a couple of hours. With his body healing he would have less energy then he normally did. He worried that officials would come to checkout site. He didn't want her to get into trouble because of him. When he woke he wondered where she had gone. He thought about calling out but he had inconvenienced her enough. With a groan he climbed to his feet. Moving was a slow and painful process as he made his way down the stairs. "Something smells good he commented from the doorway.

Keita looked to him the cockatoo flying over and sitting on his shoulder "Bed, Bed!" he screamed dancing on his shoulder a little. " You should be in bed and I made dinner since it's getting late" she said to him bluntly "It's something simple, pasta you're share is over there now go back to bed and I'll bring it up " she said back to him bluntly and the bird simply repeated her instructions before she got up and made him head to bed again as she brought the plate up "You should have just shouted if you wanted to get out, I thought you were still asleep" she frowned at him and got him back into bed and handed him the plate, Calcifer stayed there with him and took a bite of pasta before holding it in one foot and eating ti "Calcifer stop stealing food, I'll leave him up here to keep him company, he'll come find me when you go back to sleep anyway and be careful, he might be a big bird but you need to be gentle and respect birds" she said to him before heading back downstairs to finish her dinner off.

Zack was surprised when she and the bird scolded him for being up. He hadn't been scolded in over 200 years. She sent him back to bed like a naughty child. Zack found himself chuckling as he made himself comfortable on the bed again. He took the plate of food thankfully. He needed a lot of energy to heal his wounds. He chuckled when Calcifer stole some of his pasta. He didn't mind sharing with the little creature. Zack was thankful for the birds company but he wished that she had stayed.

She headed back up a little later to get the plate and her bird "How you feeling?" she asked him and Calcifer had fallen asleep al fluffed up on the bed "He gets too comfortable at times" she picked the bird up carefully in her arms and balanced the plate on her hand "I'll be right up but i need to sort these out first" she put the plate in the sink and then put Calcifer to bed covering his cage before she came back up "I'm curious but where do you come from?" she asked him "I've been quite busy today so I haven't and much time to talk I'm afraid she said softly as she pulled up a chair in the room and sat down.
