[IC] A Whole New World

She looked to him able to see he was thinking about something "Hmm what's wrong you look like you're worried" she asked him as she put the pasta in the trolly and pushed it along picking out what she needed and asking him to get the stuff she couldn't reach.

"Nothing." He knew she would dismiss his worry. It was clear that she was more then cable of taking care for herself. The fact that she had thrived by herself so far from others was prove of that. "You amaze me." He told her before he pulled her against him and kissed her.

She blushed a little off guard when he kissed her but still kissed him back and smiled "Thanks but why do you say that?' she asked him more curious if anything as to why although hoped he wouldn't take it as her offending him. "come on we should finish this list soon, just a few more items" she leaned up and kissed him gentle again and smiled happily.

"I say it because it is true. You amaze me." He continued handing her items as she requested them. He studied the items on the shelves. He was curious about the different items on the shelves. Some of them seemed similar to items on his planet. But he didn't asked about them. He figured there was plenty of time to learn what they were.

Once everything was sorted she went to the till with him and paid for the food before sorting everything into bags so it was easier for them to carry. She did ask him to help her bring the stuff over to the car and then opened up the boot to put the food in. "Ok I think we got everything" she said nodding.

Zack helped her place the bags into the back of the car. He climbed into the car once again. He looked out the window as she drove them home. He realized that she didn't need him. The realization hurt. He had never not be needed before.

Once they were back home she looked to him "hey are you ok, you seem a bit… upset" she said to him as she got some of the bags out of the car boot. "Hey Zack" she said softly rather concerned since he was upset "Cheer up a little ok, we'll be watching a movie together soon" she kissed him looking clearly worried as she looked to her boyfriend.

Zack shook his head. He couldn't tell her. It wasn't right. She wouldn't understand. Her world was so different from his. He didn't know if he could live with someone who didn't need him. He wanted to be needed. Right now he had nothing but his love to offer his mate. He didn't know if love would ever be enough.

"Zack, tell me I can't promise I'll understand but I can try and you can always explain like you did before" she said to him and moved to kiss him gently "Another thing Couples do is to share their fears and worries with each other, after all two heads are better than one so they can find a way to make that person feel better" she said to him. "and right now I'm worried about why you're upset"

"I don't think this can be fixed." He told her. He took her hand into his. "It's alright Keita. Sometimes you just have to accept things." He didn't want her to worry. She already had so much stress. It wasnt air that he add his minor problem to her overwhelming ones. "It's a small thing. I'll get use to it in time."

"Well if you do ever want to talk I'm right here" she said and kissed him gently "Love you Zack" she said to him softly and hugged him before she thought for a moment "Want to watch a movie then, You can pick this time around" she said softly.

Zack nodded. He was glad she was willing to listen. But he didn't see how she could fix this. She didn't needed him. She might want him but that wasn't the same. She was giving him the whole world. He had nothing to give her other then his love. He didn't see how that was going to change. He was going to have to find a way to live with it. He made his way over to her DVD's. He sorted through them until he found one that caught his interest.

Keita settled down on the couch waiting to see what he brought over and put it on for them both "You picked quite and interesting one I must say, not watched it in quite some time to be honest" she smiled at him before settling down beside him with some snacks. She was still rather worried about him though but didn't say anything since he didn't want to talk about it.

Zack nodded. He tried to relax and enjoy the movie. It was hard to do that. His mind kept circling the problem in his mind. He needed to find away to make peace with the fact that he literally had nothing to offer her. On his planet a man that had nothing to offer his mate would quickly lose her. Love didn't matter in a world where women held the power. It was strange to learn that he had left his world but still lack any sort of power.

Keita relaxed next to him but sensing his tension kissed him softly and frowned "are you really ok, I do worry you know?" she said softly to him clearly still concerned and held his hand squeezing it gently. She continued to watch the movie with him and later on headed to bed thinking to herself as she tried to figure out what was wrong with him.

Zack nodded at her question. He was ok, but he knew he had to find away to be ok. She was worried and he couldn't allow his problems to worry her. He tried to relax. He enjoyed the movie. When she headed to be he followed her up the stairs. Tomorrow he would make peace with his new life. He would find a way to give her everything he had, even if it wasn't as much as she gave him. He kissed her before heading into the guest room.

Keita headed to bed and kissed him back before she did go to her bedroom "Sleep well ok?" she said softly and headed to her room and tried to think about what it would be going over what she did know about his world but ended up falling asleep before she had a chance to figure out the problem. The next morning she woke ups bit dazed and curled back up under her blankets.

Zack tossed and turned all night. He couldn't seemed to get to sleep. He finally gave up and got up. He tipped toed downstairs. He began working on his sculpture. He found carving relaxing. It wasn't long before he drifted off to sleep again.

Finding him in the room with his sculpture the next morning when she did get up made her smile and kissed his cheek she moved and found a spare blanket placing it over him before she made some breakfast knowing he'd wake up at any moment since he usually woke up around this time anyway.

Zack groaned as he woke. HIs body was stiff from sleeping in the chair. He frowned when he realized that he had a blanket covering him. She had taken care of him again. He took the time to carefully fold the blanket before he make his way into the kitchen. He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her neck. "Thank you."
