[IC] A Whole New World

Zack sculpture in many materials on his home planet. Many of the materials he found around Keita's place were very similar to those he was use to working with. He walked around her place until he found a piece of wood that spoke to him. It was perfect for what he had in mind. He took the wood to the garage where he spread out the tools in the way that pleased him. Soon he was deeply involved with his work. He didn't pay attention to the time or the throbbing in his leg.

When lunchtime came around she knocked not eh door and walked in "Hey, got some lunch for you, you might want to eat up before you continue. it's looking good that's for sure" she said looking to what he was working on a was a little surprised at how far he'd gotten in just that morning. "By the way Calcifer sometimes wonders in here so just tell him 'no' and he should lead the sculpture alone"

"I don't think that your little bird will hurt my sculpture." Zack commented as he continued working a the wood in front of him. He hard scrapped all the bark from the piece to get to the beautiful wood beneath. He had already completed the outline of a face as was working on the eyes.

"Still it's amazing how far you've gotten already" she said looking to the sculpture and noticed a face not quite able to recognise it "You're doing a person correct, who is it?" she asked him "and he has a touch beak, he can chew through wood that's for sure" she laughed.

Zack didn't answer right away. He wanted to get the eyes just right. When he had gotten them just the way he wanted he looked over at her. "Yes I am sculpting a person. a very special person." He wouldn't tell her anymore. He want it to be a surprise. Which meant he should hid it, but he could not bring himself to put the would down. Absentmindedly he rubbed his sore leg before returning to his work.

She thought for a moment before she slake rout and came back "here it should help wight he pain if it's hurting, only put a little bit on though ok?" she warned him "Otherwise it might burn due to what it's made from" she explained "but it's really good for sore muscles and injuries" she smiled at him.

Zack studied t he tube thing she had given him. "What is it?" She said it would help his injury. He was unclear how. He took the tub and place it on his leg. No that wasn't it he thought frowning. "I do not wish to burn. Will you help me?"

"Ah sorry almost forgot" she showed him how to sue it and how much to use "That should be enough for a few hours, it will take a little while to work but it'll help ease the pain, I forget you didn't know how to use it" she said a little sheepishly. "Anyway eat up your lunch, it's a simply sandwich but it's rather nice, my dad used to make them for me when I got absorbed in my work" she smiled

"Thank you." Zack took the sandwich. He studied her thoughtfully. She didn't seem to know that she was the subject of his piece. Since he wanted to keep it that he decided to take a break from create creating. He need to spend more time with her. "I warned you that i would forget the time. Have you eaten?"

"Not yet I was about to after I'd made sure you were having yours" she said to him "You can come join me if you want" she smiled and walked through to where she was eating, sharing small tibias with her bird who seemed quite happy to see him as well. "You really do like sculpting don't you?" she smiled "You really got more absorbed than I thought you would to be honest"

Zack followed her inside. He was glad that she had asked him to join her. "I warned you. I can get completely lost in sculpting. I often got lost in my art for day on my home planet. The world does not exist when I am sculpting. The only thing that matters is the project I am working on."

Keita nodded "You did which is why I'm alerting you to the world again" she laughed "But it's fine, I don't mind and I'll just have to make sure you still eat your meals and sleep" she said to him clearly not minding it too much. She sat down at the table and began to eat her sandwich as well. It was the same as his since she really did quite like them. "It really is looking good though, can't wait to see it when you've finished it" she smiled.

"thank you for caring for me." Zack eat his sandwich. It was very good. As he ate he studied her she was kind to him, but she seemed to have built a wall them. He wondered if it was just him or if she put the wall between her and everyone. Either way he was determine to take that wall down one brick at a time. "I think you will like the piece when I am done."

"No problem" she said to him smiling and finished her sandwich not long after "and be sure to tell me when it is finished ok?" she smiled a little and put her plate in the sink waiting for his before she cleaned up the dishes and then put them on the drying rack before she got back to work on her piece of art for the time being.

Zack ate and watched her. He wonder what she would make of his gift. He hoped that she like it. It would take him a few days to finish it. With that thought he finished his meal. Since she took care of the dishes, he leaned over and kissed her cheek before leaving.

She smiled a little when he kissed her cheek although she did turn a little red as well. "Have fun" she said to him before she finished up the dishes and then got back to working on her own piece of work, It was almost finished so planned on starting a new picture afterwards. "Hmm what should I do next?" she muttered thinking to herself.

Zack returned to the garage and got back to work on his project. He focus intently on his work. He wanted to finish the face before the day was done. He chiseled the details carefully. He wanted the sculpture to be an exact copy of her. It was late when his leg forced him to call it a day. He carefully covered up his work and limped towards the house.

Keita looked up noticing him coming in "You ok?" she asked him still finishing her painting off "I'm making dinner in a little bit, just finishing this off" she said to him not having much left to do, only a few details needed to be added to the scene on the picture. Once they were finished she moved it to a drying rack she had. "Ok anything you want for dinner?" she asked.

"Yes I am fine. Just tired and sore. I should have called it a night sooner." Zack told her as he sat down. He watched her work on her work on her picture. She was memorizing when she painted. She was almost as focused on her work as he had been on his. "I would love something to eat. Can I help you with it?"

"Well put a little more of that cream on ok and sure thing, if you can help I'd be grateful" she smiled and looked to him. "let's see how about we have fish tonight?" she asked him "can you get the fish out front he fridge please?" she asked him politely as she began o find what else she needed.
