Physical Characteristics and Appearance:



Appearance Description: (Note: Where the picture conflicts with this description this is accurate. The picture is just to give a general idea.)
Due to her initial imprints having been based on humanity Alsia looks more human than the average Visisth, this leads to her bearing a great deal of resemblance to a human female, at least in her base state. She has high cheekbones and a nose that seems slightly thinner than a normal human. Her mouth while looking decidedly human at first glance actually can open several times wider than a human's and if closely examined it becomes apparent that the skin of her cheeks is folded over upon itself in an intricate fashion that allows it to unfold and let her mouth open so widely. It also gives her cheeks a slight wrinkled appearance and results in her mouth being naturally pulled into a slight smile. A close examination of the inside of her mouth will also note differences, she has a second set of teeth that can descend in front of her humanoid ones, these retractable teeth are sharp and clearly made for cutting. The Visisth equivalent to hair grows only from her head and hers is a faded silver blonde in color. It is allowed to behave naturally and is unbound capable of stretching down slightly past her shoulders, tendrils of it often seeming to reach out of their own accord and it frames her face. Her limbs are also slightly longer and slimmer than a humans. Alsia's eyes as mentioned previously are more oblong and set at an angle in her face as they tilt downwards on the way out from the center. Her skin is like all Visisth capable of altering coloration and pattern on command but most often holds a health is slightly pale coloration. Physically the rest of her body aside from her face also is quite similar to a humans. The presence of Vrier sites in Alsia's body is also noticeable as there are slight lumps in her skin where one of the Vrier sites lies, these lumps are firm to the touch. In terms of physical structure she is also less bulky than a human and has very little in the way of noticeable fat deposits. Alsia's eyes are covered by a transparent membrane that protects them from dust or detritus and that can function as a secondary eyelid in regards to blinking. They are slightly more oblong than a humans and distinctly set in an angle in her face, the outer edges of each eye is angled slightly downwards diagonally. The irises of her eyes are orange and Alsia's eyes appear to have no whites. The pupil functions similarly to a humans though it can grow far larger.

Background Information:
First contact between humanity and the Visisth race went extremely poorly in the wake of the fall of the empire. Humanity's insatiable efforts to regain territory and expand led to the policy of sending rushed colony ships to worlds that were dubbed as inhabitable with far less than a proper degree of examination.


Following this disastrous colonization attempt the world of Lirvilin 2 was declared off limits to any and all. The hostile life forms were judged to be a threat and to not be worth the resources it would take to either subjugate or exterminate them. However not all rules are followed the way they should be. In the wake of the judgement that Lirvilin 2 was to be entirely left alone came one man who saw the potential of the Visisth and believed that by weaponizing them he could create the ultimate soldiers. This man, Albrecht Macros, head of the corporate juggernaut Macros Interstellar, a man who was wealthy enough to buy planets should he wish to do so decided to ignore the rulings and ordered that experiments start immediately.

As a result many young Visisth were abducted from the their homeworld. Alsia was one of them. The other young Visisth had already begun to differentiate and come to a set appearance which made them invalid for the plans that Macros had in mind and they were used for experiments to test just how impressive their adaptive abilities were. Alsia on the other hand had barely begun the process and as of that point had formed no comprehensive imprint. While this meant she was not fated to be poked and prodded for years it also meant that a very different experiment could be performed with her.











She was raised in the company of humans deliberately in order to force a human imprint upon her and the results were not unsuccessful as she can pass for human in a crowd unless one knows what to look for. And MI also wished to test the weaponization potential of a species with such natural abilities. As such Alsia was raised with a singular line of education, that of combat. A life of training and tests that pushed her to and beyond her limits constantly, it was a hellish existence, and also the only existence that the Visisth child knew, a fact that was carefully exploited by MI in an attempt to form complete loyalty on her part towards the company.

Even the best kept secrets however have a way of being found out. Ultimately Alsia uncovered the truth of what had been done to her and managed to escape from her former masters with several prototype weapons and other technology that she had been outfitted with for the missions she had performed before she found out what MI had actually done. She has avoided the areas of space where Macros holds sway, existing on the fringes of society as a renown bounty hunter and problem solver. While MI has dispatched many teams to attempt to capture her and bring her back for further study thus far they have been unsuccessful.

Equipment:

Mal-Synth Armor- A complicated creation of MI specially created for Alsia and the Visisth weaponization project, the Mal-Synth armor is capable of connecting to Alsia herself and responding to her mental commands. It is capable of adapting to resemble nearly any kind of clothing or armor required in appearance. Alsia has had it adopt many different guises over the years, from formal gowns to suits of full power armor and even the uniforms of enemy combatants from time to time. This adaptability does mean that it isn't the best at actually stopping enemy fire, small arms normally bounce off even in ball gown mode but heavier weapons tend to cut through the armor. However the armor is able to reform and so such damage is typically temporary, which coupled with Visisth resiliency is less of a flaw then it would normally be.





Unique Abilities:
Vrier Stimulation- Like all members of the Visisth race Alsia possesses Vrier sites spread throughout her body. These sites contain a unique type of cell known as Vrier cells that have similar traits to embryonic stem cells but are far quicker and have a vastly larger number of potential affects in use. Alsia can mentally stimulate the Vrier sites throughout her body to cause the release and determine the function of Vrier cells. These cells will rapidly multiply and release the necessary hormones and enzymes to aid in bringing about the desired change as well as forming the substance of the change if the change adds any physical features. For example in order to form an increased tolerance to cold Vrier cells could be released and form a highly insulating layer of tissue beneath her skin to protect her internal organs from the cold, similarly the Vrier cells can graft themselves onto existing muscle structures and augment them to increase Alsia's strength, or form a hard layer over her skin to function as a form of crude natural armor. In addition stimulation of Vrier cells can allow for rapid wound treatment, while true healing takes a long time, typically about a week to regrow a single limb the Vrier cells can be released to form a scab or to staunch bleeding rapidly after an injury is inflicted. Further they can be used to grow additional appendages or modifications to her existing ones such as claws or an additional set of arms, the time it takes for a Vrier shift of that level depends on its magnitude.

Visisth Endurance- Visisth on the whole are very resilient creatures and killing one is a matter of some difficulty. Due to their Vrier cells Visisth tend to be able to fight even after sustaining injuries that would kill a human. They have been known to survive decapitation or being sliced in half. However it is still possible to inflict so much damage that one of the Visisth is unable to heal and should the Vrier cell reserves be depleted it becomes far easier to dispatch one.

Superhuman strength/speed- Visisth are naturally faster and stronger than a human of equivalent age and build even without the stimulation of Vrier sites. Further due to the vigorous training regimes that Alsia was forced to undergo in youth and the fact that she has continued them to this day makes her as strong as naturally possible for a Visisth who is not using the Vrier shifts to gain strength. She's far stronger than a human and even without shifting is capable of ripping arms off or breaking bones with minimal effort. Similarly she is both faster and more agile than a human.

Skillset:
*Infiltration- Due to her ability to pass as human, and her ability to alter her own form and become a weapon herself Alsia is well suited to infiltrate places that have high security or that actually know how to check for weapons properly. She's also skilled at being stealthy and when the situation demands it she has been known to utilize her 'natural charms' to gain a position from which to strike.

*Combat expert- Alsia was trained from early childhood to fight and she has proven to be very good at it. She is quick to process and rarely caught off guard in a fight even when the unexpected happens. She is specifically a high end markswoman, an expert at several styles of hand to hand combat, and skilled with several melee weapons such as the plasma sword and whip

Weaknesses:
*Like all Visisth she has an instinctive fear of fire, while this is not as strong due to her training the presence of large amounts of it can still be problematic. Typically the presence of large amounts of fire triggers an instinctual desire to flee as well as causing her physical discomfort. In particular she often experiences nausea and hot and cold flashes. It can also trigger a panicked state. Should she be set on fire nearly all capacity for higher thought will be driven from her mind as she will attempt to extinguish it at any cost. Alsia will also attempt to avoid fire if possible and this can inconvenience her.

*Vrier Stimulation is draining and multiple shifts in a short time will begin to wear heavily on the user. Further Alsia does have a limitted amount of Vrier cells stored in the sites and while they do regenerate over time it is possible to deplete them temporarily.

*While this may not be the most relevant she is purely carnivorous like all Visisth and this does put certain restrictions on her food options.

Both those CS' look awesome, very SCP if I do say so myself!

I'll give it another day or two just so other interested parties can finish up CS' and then we'll look at getting this show on the road. I'm going to add a system by which you can essentially have a respawn. But only one. See, I like the characters so much that it would suck to permakill them the second something goes wrong, so i'm going to add a 'clone count' by each character in the OP roster. Even if this doesn't fit with a characters fluff necessarily, just go with it for the sake of mechanics (you could just say it was a clone that died and the original is still kicking). Obviously dying in a mission would put you out of it until the next, but after that you'd be able to rejoin if you have reserves.

Oh and the clone count won't regenerate. Just don't die too often.

The cannon fires 120mm explosive bolts with a max range of 50km. And the explosion is enough to take out 1/3rd of a space station. Shooting him in the butthole won't even be necessary. He'll be nothing but hydrogen particles.

Thalos only ever killed someone like that once back at the Reach. A Solan Corp intelligence agent who was chillin' in a meeting room at one of Solan's administration stations.

Yes, any player who manages to get perma-dead will be unconditionally allowed back into the RP with another character. It's only fair.

(Can be one of the provided races (except Arakath) or something of your own design. If designing your own race, be creative. Anything based off of, or too reminiscent of standard sic-fi / fantasy archetypes will not be accepted. So nothing like a dwarf, or an elf... or anything that has been too overdone in sci-fi.)


There are a few predetermined races in Starfall, but this is by no means a complete list. When designing your character you may pick any of these to base him or her on (with the exception of Arakath) or make something entirely new of your own design. This is just a bit of background and fluff.

Lol I did actually see those but all too often I see gm's change their mind because too many original races tend to create confusion... so I figured id be polite and ask first lol

The Chitin are a pretty cool race that I've been thinking of for a book of mine so expect some fun stuff. I will be honest I'm going to steal some pics from D9 and maybe (big maybe) the mech as well, but I'm basically creating the chitin to be a honor and heritage based race (similar to bushido) with a complete lack of religion. Their science will be mostly biological based and "ancient ruins" will be similar to that of modern day robotics (modern=2014) Nowadays alltheir Bio-tech is "grown" not built. XD sound good so far?

*fun fact= The Chitin were almost rendered extinct at one point due to the unusual chemical component in their blood that reacts like hyperactive stemcells. Often used in medical cures for many other races or super immunity boosters. The Chitin were often illegally harvested and "milked" of their blood, then sold on the black market.

I'll be working on something later today since sleep is calling me lol

Not quite late enough into it for me to be going wishy-washy on my ideas yet ;) Still, I guess I appreciate you asking

I wouldn't worry about picture stealing from D9, all images have gotta come from somewhere, I don't expect anyone to be a character artist on a writing site. But yeah, that all sounds fine to me, bio-tech is still a great love/fear of mine since the goddamn nids, though i'd stray away from the mech. Mech is a bad idea. Mech is pretty much certain to not fit with the theme or style of the RP.
