Hmm...I'm a little worried guys. It appears that I'm not exactly up there with the rest of you when it comes to combat in this Rp. Karela and Dren didn't exactly shine during the battle against Kenta. I could really use some advice on how to improve on this.

I might drop Dren as well. No offense, I seriously want to stay in this Rp but I'm also struggling with the combat aspect.

Well with Dren you have the ability to see most of your opponents coming your way a little while before they actually get to you, so you can avoid conflict with him. I suppose you should stick around with others as Karela until you grow accustomed to combat RP? It's always better to have a colleague checking if you're doing shit right and vice versa.

Well, not to toot my own horn, but I've been doing combat RP's for many years so I've gotten quite good at it. If you'd like, we could have a little sparring match in a separate thread where I give you advice along the way. That would probably be the best way that I can help you.

which usually leads to religious suppression, communism always gets corrupted when its leaders do things all in the name of equality, it's like how people commit genocide in the name of freedom or liberty.

I think one of reasons I haven't been doing so well is because I'm afraid if one of my attacks touches another character I don't know if it's god-modding or not. If someone could clear this up for me I'd really appreciate it :)

Here's the golden rule of god-modding: you control your character, not the other character. Essentially, you don't get to declare if an attack hits or not. However, you are allowed to declare intent to hit in a particular way. For example, avoid saying "Bob smashed Frank over the head with a bottle." Instead say, "Bob swung his bottle at Frank's head." The exception to this are instances like in the beginning of the battle when we were essentially just slaughtering our own NPCs or when the GM gives you permission to beat on his NPC, like the Shukaku fight. Here is the link to the arena thread I created. We can go over more details in there so we don't clutter up the OOC.

He is branch family. Although due to his lacking performance in the battle he doesn't really consider himself a part of the clan anymore to be honest. He doesn't feel worthy of the Hyuga name anymore.
